Many infants respond well to white noise, quickly calming down when they hear the soothing sound. When a baby is fussy, crying, suffering from colic or not sleeping well, play this calming white noise and watch them quickly settle down. Bring peace to your infant and to your household with this relaxing baby sleep sound. Baby white noise is an effective way to soothe a crying infant and lull your newborn to sleep. White noise resembles sounds the baby heard in the womb, which has a calming effect. It also masks other distracting noises so that your baby can fall asleep and remain sleeping. While playing white noise for babies, it's important to keep tabs on the volume, because any white noise machine, smartphone, or computer can put out levels that are too loud for your child. It's recommended to play the sound at least a few feet from where your infant is sleeping and to keep the volume no louder than the sound of a soft shower. Parents can download an app to turn their smartphone into a sound level meter. One good, free, option is the sound level meter app created by the U.S. National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) available on the app store as the NIOSH SLM app. Soothe your crying baby and enjoy a moment of calm! Check out the 10-Hour version on YouTube Contact Us for Partnership Inquiries Relaxing White Noise is the number one destination on YouTube for white noise and nature sounds to help you sleep, study or soothe a baby. With more than a billion views across YouTube and other platforms, we are excited to now share our popular ambient tracks on the Relaxing White Noise podcast. People use white noise for sleeping, focus, sound masking or relaxation. We couldn't be happier to help folks live better lives. This podcast has the sound for you whether you use white noise for studying, to soothe a colicky baby, to fall asleep or for simply enjoying a peaceful moment. No need to buy a white noise machine when you can listen to these sounds for free. Cheers to living your best life! DISCLAIMER: Remember that loud sounds can potentially damage your hearing. When playing one of our ambiences, if you cannot have a conversation over the sound without raising your voice, the sound may be too loud for your ears. Please do not place speakers right next to a baby's ears. If you have difficulty hearing or hear ringing in your ears, please immediately discontinue listening to the white noise sounds and consult an audiologist or your physician. The sounds provided by Relaxing White Noise are for entertainment purposes only and are not a treatment for sleep disorders or tinnitus. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions:  Vabona: Hi! I recently found out that miralax has ingredients in it that are found in antifreeze. Said ingredients are said to cause many problems including neuropsychiatric and kidney problems. I have miralax to my son for a while from my drs recommendations. I'm terrified of all the damage I have done. What can I do to help my 5 year old detox that is safe. Thank you Dana: I had a moderate case of covid a month ago and feel depressed ever since. I am 48 and perimenopausal and am wondering if covid causes any vitamin/mineral deficiencies or hormonal changes that may contribute to depression? Prior to getting covid I was taking vit d, c, b complex, magnesium and occasional zinc as well as methylfolate for mthfr def. (one copy). I am prone to seasonal affective disorder but always feel great in summer so this is unusual for me. Thank you! Love your podcast! Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral. Thanks for taking the time to answer so many questions. I have a question about non-diabetic reactive hypoglycemia. I searched old episodes & found a brief explanation on episode 218 but I think my question is more specific. I have not been officially diagnosed. No matter the amount of carbs I eat or don't eat, my blood sugar drops an hour after I eat a meal to sub 70. At times sub 60. But then 2-3 hours later it spikes. During the day the spike is generally 100-120 but after dinner its 120-150. Fasting BS is below 70-90. I dip into sub 60 during the nights a lot. My sugars are relatively low most of the day until my dinner meal & that is when I get 120-150. It still goes back under 100 before bed. I am wearing a CGM to try to see if I can identify the issue & so far no luck. Like I mentioned the same meal can cause little to no drop/spike & then the next time I have it it does. I have heard that Reactive Hypoglycemia is a precursor to diabetes so I would really like to fix the underlying root cause before that becomes an issue. I eat whole foods 95% of the time, I intermittent fast 12-14hours. I work out 2 cardio 3 strength per week. I try to walk at least 30 minutes each day. Drink lots of water. Thanks for your help! Megan: Hi Dr. Cabral, I absolutely love your podcast!! I've learned so much and implemented many of your suggestions while healing my body. My question is about my 18 month old son. I now know that when I was pregnant I had Candida, SIBO, and parasites. I'm worried I have passed these conditions on to my baby. I nursed him for 16 months and during that time I unknowingly detoxed some of the Candida. I believe the toxins got into my breastmilk, as my baby had really bad eczema during this time and has had a hard time eating solids as well. I feel awful. I'm concerned about gut issues developing as he gets older. How can I help my baby get as healthy as possible moving forward? Thank you so so much for your passion & sharing your wisdom! Maria: Hi Dr! I have been curious about this for some time. Both my parents have received the AZ vacc, and their reactions were entirely different. My father felt absolutely normal the following days whereas my mother had severe fever, chills, headache for about 24hr. Would this be due to bio individuality or have something to do with the strength/over reactivity of their immune system, if so, is there a favourable response? Thanid: I had the jab and l regret it. How do l detox it from my body. One of the more terrifying events for any parent is seeing their child born and rushed off to the NICU. Though we might talk about how it's so much better compared to losing our children - and there's no doubt that's the case - the typical experience for families in the NICU isn't one that we would wish on anyone. Some of the best NICUs in terms of medical care are those least equipped to deal with the psychological and bonding needs of new families. Parents can be left with little time with their baby, no room for them to stay, and advice that counters their instincts to care for the newest member of their family. Sharing a blend of her own experience in this regard, the science around neurological and general development for preterm or low birth weight babies, and an understanding of the needs of families today, Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum joins me to help families who have either already experienced this event and need help processing, are in the midst of this experience, or don't know if it's something they may face. Her compassion and knowledge are unsurpassed in this and I believe this is something that is invaluable for all families to hear. There are few things more ironic than a UPS driver delivering a baby. In this video, a UPS driver makes a special delivery when his wife goes into labor. AND Is age just a number? Well, the spry and surprisingly flexible Dick Van Dyke seems to think so. He turned 95 in December and he is antsy to get back to living life the way it was pre-pandemic. This week Amy and her mum Janene a midwife join us to share her extraordinary three birth stories. Her first a vaginal birth, her second a caesarean birth, and her third a VBAC with twins. This episode has a trigger warning as baby loss is discussed.Amy's first pregnancy was thankfully straightforward with a positive induction experience followed by a vaginal birth under Midwifery Group Practice at her local hospital. Having her mum's guidance she was well informed ahead of time, however she was faced with breastfeeding struggles following her first birth and the positive birth experience was marred by the passing of her father from Motor neurone disease, a battle he had fought for many years. For her second pregnancy Amy was planning to have a homebirth through her hospital's birth center homebirth program and looked forward to this experience. However at 36 weeks her pregnancy took an unexpected turn. Amy experienced a concealed placental abruption and she was taken for an emergency caesarean. Her son Arlo was born premature but healthy and she was discharged from hospital, but at five days of age they returned to hospital as his health began to deteriorate. It was found he had contracted a common cold virus. Arlo was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in Sydney from Newcastle and in the coming weeks Amy and her husband would stay by his side while he was fighting for his life.Amy tells of the unspeakable grief of losing Arlo and the 29 days of his life which was cut short far too soon. Amy tells of navigating this difficult period and of the family, her church community, and the hospital staff who helped her. When Amy and her husband Sam felt ready to welcome another baby Amy prayed for twins and incredibly her prayers were answered. Amy's rainbow babies were born via VBAC, and she and Janene tell of twin A emerging direct posterior and twin B being born breech and en caul.Thank you so much Amy and Janene for reaching out to us to share your difficult yet remarkable and heartfelt journey. We know your story will be a source of comfort and inspiration to our listeners.~ Notes ~Birthing Multiples Naturally: https://www.facebook.com/groups/418436544869922/?ref=shareBirth Photographer: https://katekennedybirthphotography.comBooks:Birth Skills by Juju Sundin with Sarah Murdochhttp://www.jujusundin.comYour Baby Your Birth by Hollie De CruzPregnancy and Infant Loss Support:https://www.bearsofhope.org.auhttps://rednosegriefandloss.org.auhttps://www.sands.org.auhttps://miscarriagesupport.org.auhttps://www.gidgetfoundation.org.au**VBAC Birth Stories features women's lived experiences. Get yourself comfortable, it's time for this week's Table Conversation! With me at the table today is my friend Gemma. This past week in the UK it has been Baby Loss Awareness week, Gemma joins me to share her story of miscarriage. Gemma bravely and openly talks about her three losses and how women in the UK must have had three miscarriages in a row before it is considered a medical issue. This can often lead women, lead couples to feel like they are overreacting or that their loss is discounted. Gemma is breaking her silence about the mental health impact of her losses – with the aim to help others to open up to. Miscarriage is often seen as an uncomfortable topic, but we must start talking about it, today Gemma and I do!
