Radio DJ gone corporate.
Repost by request. Created to soundtrack a road trip from Vegas to Zion, UT a while back. Basically this is a tidy little dream set with a few Easter eggs tossed in for the lols.
Eddie Van Halen passed away on October 6. He was 65. Because his music was such a big part of my job and consciousness for so long I felt compelled to assemble this little tribute. I dropped in all the ones you know, along with some interesting covers and deep cuts for the hardcore fans (free cheeseburger to whoever can guess the music bed I use towards the end). It's been 10 years and 33 days since I last opened a microphone for everyone, so please forgive the rust. Enjoy!
Recorded September 15. This cheerful little mix will straighten you right out!
Brand new! By popular demand, I took a funky dive into the unknown. I love "How Long" by the Pointer Sisters, you'll get to it after a while. James Brown keeps recovering and staggering back to the microphone on this one, who am I to stop him? The Brothers Johnson and Ohio Players make appearances, as does a recent Grammy winner. If you actually make it to the very end, you're a groovy lemon pie.
Originially released in April 2017. A "good" balance of era and genre ranging from Marky Mark to Chuck Mangione.
