Lloyd B. Potter, Ph.D.Texas State Demographer and Director of the Texas State Data Center at The University of Texas San Antonio, joins us to talk about the changing Texas population and the one stat that really surprised him -- and us!

We talk with Dr. J. F. De La Teja who wrote a book about Juan Seguin, one of the most consequential figures in Texas Revolution history.

We talk with Dr. Christopher Carmona, one of the founders of the Refusing To Forget Project, which documents the Matanza period in Texas. The Matanza, loosely meaning The Killing, was a period when violence along the Texas border resulted in the killing of many Mexican and Mexican American residents in South Texas, many at the hands of the Texas Rangers, the military and otehr law enforcement agencies.

Today, we talk with Chris Tomlinson, one of the authors of "Forget the Alamo: The Rise and Fall of an American Myth." We talk about the real story of what led up to the battle, the 45-minute battle and the aftermath, which really impacts even today.

We interview Doug J. Swanson. He is the author of "Cult of Glory: The Bold and Brutal History of The Texas Rangers." This is a great book that tells you more of the real story beyond the myth of what most people have been taught about the Texas Rangers.

Aaron L. Pena, Sr. was one of the first Hispanics elected to the Edinburg TX city commission. He played a pivotal role in desegregating the Edinburg City Pool. His story is one of facing challenges and overcoming barriers.
