Democrats are finally suffering from the “Chicken Little” effect—but on steroids, fentanyl, and whatever MSNBC prescribes to keep its hosts upright. They've screamed apocalypse so many times that the public could watch a mushroom cloud bloom over the DNC Headquarters and still assume it's a TikTok filter. They lie so compulsively, with such industrial efficiency, that Americans have developed herd immunity. Nobody believes anything they say. Nor should they. And now, with their credibility stripped for scrap like a stolen catalytic converter, the Democrats are entering the stage of desperation usually reserved for contestants on COPS reruns—the moment when panic overrides intelligence and the perpetrator implicates himself while trying to blame everyone else.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Wisconsin fans just suffered one of the toughest weekends in recent memory. The Badgers closed the football season with a brutal loss to Minnesota in the Axe Game — a performance defined by stalled offense, missed opportunities, and more questions about the program's direction under Luke Fickell. And on Friday, the basketball team led off with a frustrating letdown against TCU, raising real concerns about consistency, shot creation, and defensive identity.Tonight, Rajeev and Justin break down what went wrong in Minneapolis and what this loss says about the state of the program. We'll also dig into the TCU loss, what it exposed about this Badger basketball roster, and whether this team can steady itself heading into conference play.If you're frustrated, confused, or just looking for answers — this is the show.Help The Bucky Report get some feedback! In this video I reflect on my mentor Harry Browne, read his poignant letter to his daughter, and explain how Browne's central lesson—"no one owes you anything"—shaped my thinking and my book The Unchained Man. I break down the practical implications of that truth for relationships, business, and personal responsibility, showing how earning respect and offering real value (value-for-value) frees you from entitlement and leads to more durable happiness.
The 49ers are entrenched in the final NFC playoff spot as they prepare to face the Cleveland Browns. However, with low temperatures, high-winds, and possible perception forecast for Sunday's matchup, holding onto that precious wild card spot might be more complicated. Having lost their previous contest in Cleveland under similar conditions in 2023, San Francisco will be tasked with executing their offense more efficiently this time while mitigating current NFL sack leader Myles Garrett. On this episode of "49ers Talk," co-hosts Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan discuss Brock Purdy's regression last week against the Panthers and how he and the 49ers' offense can minimize mistakes against familiar obstacles in inclement weather and a formidable pass-rush. Also, Matt and Jennifer provide injury updates, surprising takes on a San Francisco offensive line playing well under-the-radar and where the 49ers might look in the draft. They also praise the evolution of Christian McCaffrey's game during an incredible individual season.--(4:00) Purdy's attributes as a starter -- anticipation, decisiveness, accuracy - were absent on three INTs(9:00) This is the first time Purdy has dealt with significant in-season time off, and he's adjusting(11:00) Will precipitation ahead of the game in Cleveland play a role in the outcome?(18:00) 49ers Injury Updates (Bethune, Okuayinonu, Piñeiro out)(22:00) Myles Garrett will be a handful for Trent Williams and offensive line(24:00) Matt believes the 49ers' OL starters this year might not change next year given their performance(32:00) CMC leads the league in rushing attempts and receptions, and is San Francisco's MVP Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this episode my buddy Cale and I discuss our recent trip hunting the rut in the beautiful countryside of New York. We had an awesome opportunity to hunt a private 500 acres. We experienced both the highs of the highs and the lows of the lows. We hunted in BRUTAL weather conditions the entire trip. With temperatures dipping into the teens, wind gusts to 30 mph and snowy conditions, it did not make for comfortable sits. However Cale managed to get it done on an awesome New York buck! I unfortunately missed what would have been the biggest buck of my life.. BUT overall it was an epic trip, filled with lots of good memories that we'll hold onto forever. HEADLINE: The Philosophical Roots of Communism and the Unmasking at Tiananmen Square GUEST AUTHOR:Professor Sean McMeekin 50-WORD SUMMARY: The Tiananmen Square massacre (1989) unmasked the brutal core of communism, akin to Kronstadt. Karl Marx derived the dialectical concept of history as binary class struggle (oppressors/oppressed) from Hegelianism. Marx defined communism as the "negation of the negation," advocating a violent cataclysm driven by philosophical principles rather than political economy.

Send us a textIn Part 3 of our 2026 Salon Industry Predictions series, we're breaking down the areas that will matter most for long-term success: culture, branding, leadership, and mentorship. The truth is simple: you can have education, technology, beautiful décor, and the best skill in town, but without strong culture and leadership, none of it creates a sustainable business. In this episode, we talk about why culture must become a system, not a vibe; why clients are drawn to salons where they feel seen and valued; why décor means nothing without energy; and why your branding is no longer aesthetic, it's emotional identity shaped by your clients' experiences. We also dive deep into modern leadership: growing people, building opportunities, hiring for alignment (not desperation), and understanding that everything in your business is your responsibility. We cover how mentorship will reshape the industry, how “copy-and-paste leadership” will collapse, and why legacy will matter more than ego in 2026.If you want your salon to move from the B-tier to the A-tier, you must change how you lead, hire, and support the people in your business. This episode gives you the blueprint.Key TakeawaysCulture must move from “vibe” to a measurable system.Weak cultures will collapse under their own weight.Clients choose salons where they feel safe, seen, and valued.Branding becomes emotional identity, not visuals.Atmosphere is created by energy, not interior design.Hiring must shift from desperation to alignment.Leadership is about growing people, not being the best technician.Mentorship becomes the engine of career & business development.Copy-and-paste leadership collapses — identity matters.Legacy > ego; real leadership is measured by the lives you change.Everything in your business is your responsibility.Time Stamps00:00 — Welcome + Part 3 focus (culture, branding, leadership, mentorship) 01:00 — Why culture + leadership outweigh education, skill, or décor 02:00 — Opening Takes: New hires, feedback, modern KPIs 06:00 — Culture as a system, not personality 08:00 — Weak cultures collapsing; client distrust; salons closing 10:00 — Clients want to feel seen, valued, and understood 12:00 — Branding shifts from aesthetics → emotional identity 15:00 — Energy > décor; how real atmosphere is created 17:00 — Hiring for value alignment, not desperation 19:00 — Client avatars, ideal clients, and retention 20:00 — Leadership: imitation collapses; identity matters 23:00 — Growing people as the core leadership function 26:00 — Owners must shift from technician → architect 29:00 — Mentorship becomes essential for progress 33:00 — Industry coaching problems + needed evolution 35:00 — Lone wolf leadership collapses; collaboration wins 38:00 — Legacy > ego; awards + status symbols decline 42:00 — Brutal truth: everything is your responsibility 45:00 — Final thoughts + closingLinks and Stuff:Our Newsletter Mentoring InquiriesFind more of our things:InstagramHello Hair Pro Website

In “The American Revolution,” a new six-part docuseries airing on PBS this week, filmmakers Ken Burns and Sarah Botstein take a deep look at the American Revolutionary War and the years before and after. They debunk many of the idealized myths we tell ourselves about the country's founding and the complex motivations of the men who championed independence. At once critical and patriotic, it examines America's history in ways the Trump administration would rather paper over. Kara, Ken and Sarah talk about the ways George Washington was both a deeply flawed man and integral to American victory in the war, how enslaved African Americans looked to the British for hope of freedom, and why it's unfair to paint all Loyalists to the British Crown as traitors. They also talk about why there's still a lot of reasons to find hope in America's origin story today. Questions? Comments? We look at why almost every caregiver reaches a breaking point, the two documents that can save a year of stress and tens of thousands of dollars, how a forgotten zero-balance home equity line nearly torpedoed a real estate deal, and why phone access now belongs at the center of estate planning. We also confront the brutal math of long-term dementia care, the real differences between Medicare and Medicaid, how to evaluate facilities beyond brochures, and what happens when a parent dies without updated paperwork. Through it all, we focus on how clear conversations about wishes and values can reduce guilt and burnout for the people left steering the ship. Key Takeaways Financial caregiving comes for almost everyone eventually, and even experts hit roadblocks, so the goal is not perfection but reducing avoidable chaos. Power of attorney and healthcare proxy documents are foundational, often more urgent than a will, and they need to be current, state-appropriate, and shared with the people who may need to use them. A locked smartphone without a legacy contact can become a financial brick, cutting caregivers off from essential clues about accounts, subscriptions, and bills. Long-term dementia care can run five to six figures per year, outlasting even solid nest eggs, so families need to confront the realities of Medicaid and state-specific safety nets before the money runs out. How assets are titled, from bank accounts to real estate, determines whether heirs inherit smoothly through a trust or spend years and thousands of dollars navigating probate. The most important “plan” is knowing a loved one's wishes for quality of life and end-of-life care, so financial and medical decisions feel like honoring them instead of guessing in the dark.
