We're back (kinda) after a prolonged absence and to make up for lost time we dig into a whole buncha stuff we saw and heard in the month of April. Notable inclusions in our review special include The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Raid 2, Under The Skin and Transcendence.

This week we're all still riding the True Detective high but still find time to fit some other things into our viewing schedule and even bring a new game to the table.

In the latest instalment of The Popcast we instigate a mini post mortem for a rather predictable awards show. We also revel in Persian violence, alien seduction, cult tv and sad vampires.

This week The Popcast team reassemble itself like a broken lego structure to talk about the few things we've seen, Shia's paper bag, curling our favourite PSH performances and in an epic misunderstand Mal single handedly kill's his dreams of being a magician .

As awards season gets into full swing the Popcast family reassemble to discuss whats good, bad and missing from the nominations list. We also dissect what we've seen so far in 2014, what we're looking forward to and the first round of Box Office or Bust 2014 gets underway.
