The San Diego Padres have been a franchise since 1969, and while they've won two National League pennants, the ever-elusive World Series championship still eludes them. However, on Monday, there was a renewed sense of optimism and commitment to the team when the baseball world was introduced to the team's new owners, who hope to finally end the club's 57-year drought. On this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman recap all the highlights from the introductory press conference of new Padres owners José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones, including their backgrounds, why this should be viewed as a separate investment beyond their other business dealings and why this is a different type of ownership group than we're used to seeing. They also talk about the Padres' game Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates, which saw Mason Miller finally give up a home run and Paul Skenes show signs of life in their victory. Later in the show, Jake and Jordan take a look at the Triple Crown case that Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez is making, what might be the one category in which he could lose a step and which stat they would sub out to make the achievement more modern. The guys also highlight the Cleveland Guardians looking to pull away in the AL Wild Card race, highlight Boston Red Sox starter Payton Tolle's success on the field and give props to Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh for finally getting hot after a sluggish season. 1:28 - The Opener: Padres' new owners say hello 25:36 - We Need To Talk About: Alvarez and the Triple Crown 46:16 - Around The League: Paul Skenes looks better 51:16 - Payton Tolle continues to impress 55:18 - Cal Raleigh is finally hot 57:41 - Guardians are in Wild Card position Subscribe to Baseball Bar-B-Cast on your favorite podcast app:

Gina also reframes “mindless” summer eating, talks through normal weight fluctuations and set point range, and reminds the Livy Community that enjoying life and staying focused on their goals don't have to be at odds. Super Hero Homies!
House of the Dragon Season 3 Review | FINALLY Back on Track? (Episodes 1-4)

Super Hero Homies!

House of the Dragon is back... and after a divisive second season, Season 3 is finally bringing the fire! In this episode of SuperHero Homies, we break down the first four episodes of House of the Dragon Season 3, discussing the biggest battles, character arcs, political intrigue, dragon action, pacing, theories, and everything that has us excited for the rest of the season. While we had plenty of criticisms of Season 2, these opening episodes feel like a major step in the right direction. The story is moving, the battles are spectacular, and the Dance of the Dragons finally feels like it's building toward the epic conclusion we've been waiting for. FULL SPOILER DISCUSSION This episode contains full spoilers for House of the Dragon Season 3 Episodes 1-4. In This Episode We Discuss: Our full House of the Dragon Season 3 review Why Season 3 feels much stronger than Season 2 The incredible pacing of the opening episodes Massive battle sequences and dragon action The political maneuvering between rival factions Character motivations and shifting alliances Which characters impressed us the most Why some of the cast feels less complex than previous seasons Our favorite scenes and biggest surprises The strongest action set pieces so far What still isn't working Predictions and theories for the rest of Season 3 Who we think survives... and who probably won't One of our biggest takeaways is that House of the Dragon has recaptured much of the excitement that made us fall in love with this world. The first two episodes feature phenomenal pacing, outstanding action, and some of the biggest moments we've seen since the series began. That said, we don't think everything is perfect. While the spectacle has reached new heights, some of the characters don't feel quite as layered or emotionally compelling as they did in previous seasons. They're far from one-dimensional, but many of the personal conflicts and relationships haven't resonated with us as strongly as they once did. Even with those criticisms, we're having a fantastic time watching this season unfold. These first four episodes have us genuinely excited to see how the Dance of the Dragons reaches its conclusion, and we can't wait to see where the remaining episodes take Rhaenyra, Alicent, Daemon, Aegon, Aemond, Corlys, and the rest of Westeros. Whether you're a longtime Game of Thrones fan, a reader of Fire & Blood, or simply following HBO's biggest fantasy series, this episode is packed with in-depth analysis, theories, predictions, and spoiler-filled discussion. Mind Gap

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 24, 2026 71:23

The Avengers Doomsday trailer dropped this week and Doug has already watched it four times. The full reaction is here: what landed, what it means for the MCU, why the Russos coming back gives genuine reason for optimism, and why Thor not cracking a single joke in the entire trailer is one of the most promising signs this movie is going somewhere real. The biggest moments get the full breakdown. Captain America's return and the Mjolnir handoff. RDJ as Doctor Doom and the most logical in-universe explanation for why he looks exactly like Tony Stark. The Loki TVA card and whether the average viewer has any idea what that means. Shang-Chi showing up despite not appearing in a single piece of Marvel content since 2021. The Fantastic Four's involvement. Gambit getting a moment that made a 10-year-old lose her mind. And the theory that this film is essentially Marvel's version of Secret Wars, a way of pruning timelines, retiring legacy characters, and rebooting the X-Men in a way that actually makes sense. Speaking of the X-Men, Doug and Natalie watched all five original Fox X-Men films over the weekend specifically to prepare for Doomsday. The full post-mortem covers everything the franchise got wrong: Wolverine was never supposed to be the main character, Cyclops got done catastrophically dirty across every single film, Rogue never threw one punch in three movies, the X-Men never once fought as a team despite that being their entire thing, and Hugh Jackman looked completely fine in the year 2000 and we as a society did something terrible to that man over the next 24 years. Before all that: a Reddit question about socially acceptable life choices that are actually kind of insane when you sit with them. Spending money you don't have to impress people you don't like. Working five days a week just to get two days of freedom. Choosing your entire career path when you are 17 years old. Sports fanaticism and the double standard that exists between jersey-wearing adults and anyone who shows up to a convention. Gambling, specifically the rise of sports betting apps and why that cottage industry is genuinely sinister. Posting everything on social media compulsively. And the hokey pokey. The Urban Dictionary game returns. This round covers Gert, Yop, Opstopper, Cap-tain, Gup, and Poo Shuttling. Justin's definition of Poo Shuttling involves Colorado, underground pipe hacking, and a thriving East Coast black market. It is not correct. It is significantly better than correct. This week's recommendations: Justin: Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die (Hulu/Disney+). Sam Rockwell is extraordinary. Zazzy Beetz, Michael Pena, Juno Temple, Haley Lou Richardson. Weird, funny, and not far off from where we are headed. The third act gets away from itself slightly but the film is absolutely worth your time. Doug: The Long Walk (HBO). Stephen King adaptation. Dystopian future. 50 boys from 50 states walk until one is left alive. Dark as hell. Completely enthralling. Not a pick-me-upper. Go watch it. Title: Back on Track: How Time Mastery Helps You Reset When Life Gets Messy Host: Michael J. Maher Guest: Tina Collazo Description: What happens when life knocks you completely off your ideal schedule? In this episode of the Referrals Podcast, Michael sits down with longtime GenGen member, real estate professional, entrepreneur, and relationship-builder Tina Collazo to talk about what Time Mastery really looks like in real life. Tina shares how the Time Mastery system helped her regain control of a demanding schedule that spans multiple businesses, professions, and states. Using tools such as the weekly timesheet, Sparks, Big Rocks, and a structured daily schedule, she created a foundation she could return to whenever life became overwhelming. And that foundation was tested immediately before this episode. After an especially difficult week filled with scheduling challenges, communication issues, and unexpected disruptions, Tina considered postponing the interview because she had fallen away from her ideal schedule. Instead, she realized that getting off track was exactly why this conversation mattered. Time Mastery is not about executing a perfect schedule every day. It is about having a proven system that helps you recognize when you are drifting, reset your priorities, and begin again. Michael and Tina also explore the Influential Zone and the relationship-building activities that create meaningful business results, including returning calls, setting appointments, VIP survey conversations, one-to-one meetings, networking events, and Hour of Power conversations. Tina explains how her mindset has shifted from focusing primarily on her own business goals to approaching every conversation with genuine curiosity, generosity, and a desire to make others feel heard. That change has helped her build new relationships, uncover opportunities, and begin planning an Italian wine-tasting event that will support Habitat for Humanity. This episode is an honest look at the connection between time, relationships, accountability, and referrals—and a powerful reminder that success is not about never falling behind. It is about knowing how to get back on track. She believes that many individuals are judged by their reactions to difficult circumstances rather than understood within the context that produced them.Marisa is the author of Shattered Bonds, Resilient Heart. Her work challenges common assumptions about human behavior, resilience, and recovery, encouraging audiences to look beyond labels and simplistic explanations. She advocates for greater awareness of parental alienation within family law, healthcare, and public discourse, while also addressing the broader human experience of identity distortion following trauma, conflict, and prolonged adversity.A recurring theme throughout her work is what she describes as "The Misinterpretation Loop"—the tendency for people to be defined by incomplete stories, isolated moments, or exaggerated character assessments rather than by the complexity of their lived experiences. She believes that human beings are far more complicated than the narratives often assigned to them and that recovery begins when individuals learn to separate their identity from the circumstances that have shaped them.Through coaching, speaking, and advocacy, Marisa's mission is to help others rediscover their strength, challenge limiting narratives, and build meaningful lives despite loss, misunderstanding, or adversity. Her message is ultimately one of hope: that while difficult experiences can alter the course of a life, they do not have to define the person living it.Connect with Here: https://www.facebook.com/marisa.conway.9www.linkedin.com/in/marisa-conway-61663328bhttps://www.instagram.com/marisakconway/https://marisakconway.com/Grab the freebie here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pzv9QmbDkTg6pmTlnIZQZLmsezdTQfzE/view?usp=sharing===================================If you enjoyed this episode, remember to hit the like button and subscribe. Feeling stuck? Unmotivated? Like you've completely fallen off track? You're not alone and you're definitely not too far gone.In this week's episode, we're joined by Bec Stewart for an honest conversation about what it really feels like to be in a slump, why so many of us end up there, and how to stop waiting for motivation and start creating momentum instead. We talk about the warning signs of a slump, what causes us to lose momentum, the difference between protecting your energy and avoiding effort, and why trying to completely overhaul your life overnight usually does more harm than good.We also share the practical habits, mindset shifts and "bare minimum" standards that help us reset when life feels overwhelming, along with a rapid-fire round of advice to help you lock back in.If you've been waiting for Monday, next month, or the "right time" to start showing up for yourself again, this episode is your reminder that your reset starts today. Because you don't need a whole new version of yourself, you just need to start being consistent with the one you already are.2026 Notion templateRaw Reality https://rawreality.com.au/**https://rawreality.com.au/products/life-upgrade-system-notion-template**Between Us Connection Cards https://rawreality.com.au/products/between-us-cards?utm_source=copyToPasteBoard&utm_medium=product-links&utm_content=webFind us below:@rawreallity https://www.instagram.com/rawreallity?igsh=cjZlMzZsM2lva3hw@ttorisstory https://www.instagram.com/ttorisstory/@fitwithlilyy https://www.instagram.com/fitwithlilyy/Community Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/share/v3sbEonnywyvp1h7/

Gina's traveling, so program managers Kim and Odette are taking the wheel and came prepared. They get into one of the most misunderstood tools in the Livy Method: Back on Track. It's not a free pass. It's not a punishment. And it's definitely not something you trigger every Monday after a weekend of snacks. It's a feeling and knowing the difference changes everything. Kim and Odette break down what Back on Track actually is, when to use it (and when not to), why the scale is the wrong signal to follow, and how this tool shifts when you move into maintenance. They also get into the No Snack Challenge debrief, how to navigate Canada Day and the 4th of July without derailing your progress, and why the end of the program isn't the end of your journey. This episode aligns with Day 71 of our Spring 2026 weight loss program. Hey hey beautiful human! By the end of June, summer can already feel a little loose. Maybe you've had a vacation, a few BBQs, later nights, pool days, skipped workouts, more snacks in the house, and meals that looked nothing like your usual routine. And you know how fast that can turn into, "Well, I already messed it up, so I'll just start again Monday." But sister, you do not need Monday. You do not need a perfect routine. You do not need to make some huge plan to fix everything. Sometimes you just need one next choice that makes you feel like yourself again. In this episode of Embrace Your Real, I'm sharing three quick wins you can come back to anytime summer starts to throw you off. These are simple things you can do right away to support your body, calm the spiral, and remind yourself that you are not nearly as far off track as you think. What's Discussed: Why a busy weekend does not have to turn into a full week of feeling off track How starting your day with water and protein can help you feel more steady from the beginning Why hydration matters so much when summer heat, travel, saltier foods, and later nights are in the mix How 30 minutes of movement can help you reconnect with your body without trying to "make up for" anything Why getting back on track should never mean skipping meals or punishing yourself with restriction The Movement With Julie app is there when you need a workout that is already planned for you. You'll get new workouts every week, 30-minute and 60-minute options, and exercise swaps for limited equipment so you can stay consistent at home, at the gym, or while traveling. Head to movementwithjulie.com to get started. And when food starts feeling all over the place, Macro Counting Made Simple will help you understand your protein, carbs, and fats so you can stop guessing. If you loved this episode, you'll also love Episode 629: How To Stop Feeling Guilty Doing Things You Actually Enjoy. It is the perfect follow-up if summer has you feeling guilty for eating differently, missing workouts, or enjoying moments that do not fit perfectly into your usual routine. For a while, it seemed as if the long-standing relationship between 2027 quarterback Brady Edmunds and Ohio State was headed for a breakup. Edmonds has been verbally committed to Ohio State for over a year-and-a-half (Dec. 2, 2024, to be exact). However, when the Buckeyes started looking at other QBs in the 2027 class, and when Edmunds started considering other programs like UCLA, it appeared as though the relationship has soured. However, Edmunds is currently on his official visit to Ohio State, and has been in town since Tuesday. And from talking to him, everything is going extremely well thus far. Will Edmunds eventually be a Buckeye? That is one of the questions Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle will answer on the Friday 5ish.

How is that summer body, bathing suit body coming along? Every year around this time… people start talking about getting their summer body ready; eating better… hitting the gym… cutting back… but nobody's talking about their summer budget. Just like your body, if you ignore it all year and panic in May, things get uncomfortable real fast! Summer bodies vs. summer budgets! On this week's episode of the Crushing Debt Podcast, Shawn & George talk about how to get back on track with your finances as we approach summer, including Things that prevent you from getting your finances under control, like "I'll start Monday," "I'll start next paycheck," gym membership, budget apps you don't open, cheat meals, "It's just one swipe," no plan, no tracking, quick fixes, or balance transfers & "later" thinking; Where summer wrecks your budget, like vacations, kids out of school (extra spending), events, weddings, parties, travel + eating out, or "It's summer, I deserve it" mindset. We talk about a simple 30-Day Reset to get your money back on track before summer gets out of control, including (1) awareness, (2) clean up, (3) building a simple plan, and then (4) execute and adjust as needed. This doesn't happen without a mindset shift, so celebrate those small victories and, before you know it, you'll have a summer bod AND a summer budget !!
