The last couple of years have been particularly difficult for team leaders at all levels. The way we've lead teams all these years in our career has been completely disrupted and we've had to adjust to using virtual mode as our only option. However, there is some down side in terms of zoom fatigue, endless virtual meetings and calls, erosion or home and work boundary, and disruption of geographic time management. There is an overwhelming sense of tiredness and fatigue that has crept in because of the lack of separation between work and personal life. Therefore, as a leader or manager - there is a challenge now for you to drive performance with your team members. So, in our conversation today, let's discuss some ways that you can push for performance; these ideas are drawn from behavior change science and are the foundational practices in leadership. What could possibly be more fun then taking a sneaky look inside someone else's health and wellness plan?! Jill is super careful in this episode not to prescribe or suggest what YOU should be doing (no "what I eat in a day" stuff here) - while sharing openly about what she needs most this fall in order to get back to feeling good in her body. She asks: what's making you feel sucked dry? what if the solution has nothing to do with food or movement changes? what support do you need right now? are there areas of your physical health that need exploring? In this episode Jill discusses our cyclical nature - and how it's misinterpreted as bad, falling "off track", or self-sabotaging. Old programming about your body will lead you to believe that you should be static, linear, and never-changing. That your food quantity and variety should never change, nor should your movement routines - but different seasons ask for different things from us - and summer is a season of slowing down (even as we bop from one social event to the next) to experience and savour. It's natural to let our routines fall away. It's also natural to feel the pull of routine and rhythm as the season draws to a close. Other things she chats about: clarifying the slightly controversial name for this series who the series is for her new Juicy Body GROUP workshop - it's free and it's coming up on September 15th. register via the link below! It's back to school time which means it's time to get back on track! As a nutrition and fitness company most people think our busiest time of year is in Jan, which isn't the case. Our busiest time of year is Sept. And that's because of the long summers of BBQ, not working and eating whatever we like. No judgement here, that's just how it works. Then when the kids go back to school, regular work hours come about and everyone is looking to get back into their routines, we hear from most sharing how little they did over the summer. So it's time to get back on track and all that starts with a plan. We need to decide what is that we want, then we plan on how we're going to do that. Planning workouts is essential to getting back on track. And meal planning, along with grocery shopping, knowing what meals you're going to plan in advance is all so important. If you need some help planning workouts and meals we can certainly help with this. If you don't have a professional helping, there's nothing wrong with making your own. It's the time it takes that deter most people from doing it themselves. So if you're not going to do it yourself or if you don't have time to do it, it would be a good idea to find a trusted professional.
In today's Athletic Motion Golf: the podcast, Mike Granato and Shaun Webb are showing you how to get your Swing BACK on TRACK! They'll discuss how to recognize the mistakes being made and ultimately how to get your swing back on track. As a golfer, you already know, it happens... Sometimes your swing, for whatever reason, gets off track, and you have to deal with the frustration of diagnosing the problem and trying to fix it. Which more often than not leads to more mistakes. This is one of the most beneficial podcasts to date for those players looking to get their swing back on track once and for all!
Daily Word - When we mix God's will with our own we are headed toward an eventual failure. Unfortunately it is very easy to taint God's will and not even realize it. However, when we do realize it, we need to get back on track even if we've spent a lot of money going down a tainted path. Don't allow the fact that you spend money going in a wrong direction cause you to stress about changing directions because God loves you so much that He will restore whatever you spent going down the wrong path. The Sox swept the Jays in Buffalo and have some momentum heading into a real 4-game series with the Balloons this time around. Today we talk how those wins can't be understated considering how impressive the Blue Jays offense is, why the Rays just won't go away, the Jays' rotation being garbage, this Sox lineup being anti-slumpable, a shoutout to Alex Cora for 250 wins as Sox manager, if he will eventually end up with the most managerial wins in Red Sox history, mixed reactions on that Garrett Richards start, why we thought a huge trade was about to go down, what to expect from Franchy if and when he gets called back up, a look ahead to this Sox-Yankees series, why the Sox may not need to add a 1B at the deadline and much more. Enjoy!
