Another solo episode! With school starting next week, the STTS crew is cleansing their minds, backpacks and spaces for a fresh start. That includes writing an open letter to put behind old memories as well as feelings and prepare for an exciting new year ahead! Good luck to all those go back, focus, take care of yourself (read: get some sleep!) but also take advantage of the opportunities that come your way and have fun! We're rooting for you!
Hello everyone! On this week's episode of the podcast, I (Ashvini), am joined by my work bestie Angela! We met and bonded over our experiences as Camp Counsellors. There have been many ups and downs to the job and we share our best tips to not only *survive* but also create the best summer camp experience for leaders and kids alike!
Hello everyone! This week on the podcast I am joined by one of my good friends Natalie (a.k.a the queen of baking, fangirling @ Teen Wolf and science whiz)! Together we talk about planning out your courses for high school...something that I promise is NEVER too early to do because pre-requisites definitely catch up to you! She tells us about the unique thing that she was able to work out with her course load as a 9th Grader and is currently able to benefit from! Its a good time and in perfect timing for the impending Back to School szn! ;)
Hey everyone! We get REAL this week on SpilltheTeaSis. With Back to School Season slowly trickling in, Paige still being on vacation and me (Ashvini) thinking a bunch of things through...we thought it would be the perfect time for me to do an anticipated solo episode where I talk about experiencing burnout and finding myself again in the aftermath. Honestly, it's all still very inexplicable to me but I do my best in these week's episode to share some key tips for regrouping and getting ready for battle ;)
Hello everyone! Finally, the much anticipated makeup episode is here! In this episode, we discuss all things makeup...our transformations from Grade 9, pro makeup tips to avoid our beginner mistakes, fav products, and a little rant about the kind of change we want to see and that the beauty industry NEEDS! THIS EPISODE IS CHALK FULL OF SPOILERS for Season 1, 2, and 3 of Stranger Things! Tune in at your own risk! Disclaimer aside, on this week's episode we chat about noteworthy pop culture moments that have caught our attention...this includes Stranger Things 3, the release of A4's eerie new film Midsommer, and Paige's celebrity crush Shawn Mendes's steamy new single with Camila Cabello (and the pap pics...ooooohhhhh).
Quite possibly one of our favourite episodes we've ever filmed, this week we talk about high school with Paige's sister Emily and her BFF Shivani. They discuss all things courses, relationships, important lessons and major do-overs with us. We have learnt a LOT from them about being authentically yourself and we hope you do too!
Alas the time has finally come...we're officially juniors! After a week long break (for exams), we are back and here to GET REAL. Going from who we were as Grade 9s to Grade 10s was not easy for sure, but we have learned a ton along the way. Difficult courses, lost friendships, mental breakdowns, overall regrets...we spill it all this week on the podcast!
Today on SpilltheTeaSis, we dish on our experiences joining extra-curriculars and the biggest regrets, hurdles and accomplishments we have faced as a result of them. We have had very different encounters with clubs and sports, and, initially, the prospect of putting oneself out there can definitely be a cause for anxiousness...we relate! However, the growth and fun times we have experienced as a result is so worth it!
Perhaps this might be our craziest episode yet as we face embarassing on-mic moments and also recount cringey memories from this past year...plus there's an impromptu phone call! In this episode, we answer the questions that you asked on an Instagram Q&A a few weeks back. It was such a blast answering all your questions and learning what you guys want to know! We hope that you find the thoughts shared in this podcast equally as funny, honest and entertaining.
In today's episode, we discuss what it's like going to a Catholic high school...Paige discusses her experiences being in the Catholic school system her whole life and Ashvini speaks on her transition from the public to Catholic school system. We both spill on our contrasting points of where we are in terms of our faith and share our thoughts on faith in a secular world. Of course, religion is a sensitive topic to many but, more than anything, we hope to emphasize that everyone - regardless of what you believe in or if you believe in anything at all...should be accepting and accepted.
In this episode, we discuss what's been on our minds lately...stress, worries and events. Paige provides us with an update on Dreamboy from the Crushes episode and what's been going on since then and Ashvini discusses a fun encounter at the movies. Join us for this chatty and casual episode of laughs and fun!
On this week's episode, we discuss periods and our first experiences with them. Of course, we also spill on some of our most awkward stories and what we wish our younger selves had known. In all, we hope to convey that periods are a completely natural experience....don't be embarassed by them! In fact, suckiness and pain aside, they are a pretty cool human process. That is for sure!
In this week’s episode, we spill the tea on some of our favourite and funniest experiences surrounding school dances - including our awkward first dance date stories and biggest regrets. We talk about what we’ve learned from our times at school dances, what we look forward to and share our best advice for future dances. Join us for some laughs and tears as we chat our way through the episode (it gets REAL chatty).
Today on the podcast, we are joined by one of your good friends and involved young politician, Faiq, to discuss current affairs and the importance of staying informed and getting involved as an average citizen. Despite the bad rep that the teenagehood often gets, youth activists are truly changing the world and making a difference...and it's never to early to start making your mark! We hope this episode inspires you and helps you become the most "woke" version of yourself!
In this episode of SpilltheTeaSis, we shed light on the realities and misconceptions of high school social groups. We touch upon our views and experiences with cliques and how to successfully find meaningful friendships admist all the drama. We hope this podcast equips those going into high school with a better understanding of the social scene and how to find their people.
In this installment, we spill on what it's like dealing with crushes as a high schooler. We discuss our past experiences, regrets and advice to our younger selves on how we wish we had dealt with the people and situations. From one sister to another, crushes are completely natural feelings! At the end of the day, regardless of what happens, it's important that you find happiness and confidence in your most authentic self.
