In January 2023, chaos erupted at Richneck Elementary School after a gunshot in Abby Zwerner's first-grade classroom rang out. A six-year-old student had shot Zwerner through her hand and into her chest. Now, the former teacher is suing Ebony Parker, an assistant principal at the time of the shooting, for millions of dollars, claiming that she willfully ignored multiple warnings that the six-year-old had brought a gun to school. The teacher wasn't having it!

A 9th grade student from Orem has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.. this happened in front of classmates on a field trip. Holly and Greg learn more about the support being offered to students and staff after this tragedy, with Dr. Kim Jones is the Director of Student Support Services and Andrea Paxman, the Director of Counseling in the Alpine School District.
