I was in the mission field with a heart to help others one year and then a few years later was on the run for armed robbery. That didn't just happen overnight and this is the story of how that all unfolded and what led up to it. This is the first of a two part podcast that was filmed at my brother's studio with my youngest brother Andrew (Andy), a close friend of mine, Andrew Deager and a fresh bottle of Whiskey. What unfolds is a story I have never shared in full and now unpack unfiltered with two very important people in my life. This episode was recorded for YouTube and can be found at the show link below! This is the second part to my story. Pt 2 Race Relations In Prison & What It Taught Me About Racism

This segment has been a long time coming for me. Watching Racial issues flair up to unseen levels globally has been eye-opening. But long before it became a mega trending topic out here in the free world, it was already being lived day in and day out in the prison system. This is what I saw. It wasn't pretty and neither was my journey thru it. Racism is something you can easily get sucked into while your inside. You are seeing the worst of humanity in the worst of living situations and it can create a vacuum that will suck in even the most staunch politically correct person. What I saw that brought the issue to light quickly and made me make a decision on who I was going to be on the subject, what I was going to think about it, and who I was going to be moving forward. This is the first of two parts on this subject. Being a very volatile and serious subject I am open to any comments and discussions you would like to have. In the end, though I have to ask that you respect the journey I have been on and where it leads me as I need to respect yours and the journey your on. Please feel free to reach out with questions or comments. Food in Prison: The Real Power Player pt.2

When I started my time of incarceration, I thought like most of you probably do, that what runs a prison system is stuff like, fear, intimidation, the gangs, violence, drugs. And while each of those can play its own major part, it's not the underlying current that connects it all.In the end what the system holds over an inmate's head to get them compliant and motivated, is simply food. Controlling that one fundamental aspect of our lives as inmates always gave the system both guards and fellow inmates total control. In this episode, the second of a two part on this subject, I share stories of how this played out and effected us directly and how it wasn't just something the guards used, but fellow inmates to their own advantage, some for good, some for, let's just say, more nefarious purposes. Please feel free to reach out with questions or comments.
