He also presents on LinkedIn at conferences, expos, and company events, live and Online. Because LinkedIn is the preferred platform of professionals, he can work across many different industries, which include professional services, financial, coaches, and speakers, and has clients worldwide. Summary – Why this discussion matters In this episode, I speak with Tony K. Silver, known as "the LinkedIn profiler," about how to optimize LinkedIn profiles for maximum impact. He emphasizes the importance of understanding users' limited attention spans (the "seven-second syndrome"), strategic keyword placement for improved searchability, and creating valuable, consistent content. Tony stresses the importance of a strong "top card" (banner, headshot, headline) and the “About” section with a clear call-to-action. Takeaways You Have 7 Seconds: LinkedIn users judge profiles quickly—your banner, photo, and headline must clearly communicate what you do and why you matter. Use Keywords Strategically: Being found on LinkedIn depends on having the right keywords strategically embedded throughout your profile. Content Quality and Consistency Matter: Posting informative and engaging content regularly (even just biweekly) builds visibility and trust. Social Media WWW.tonyksilver.com

Dan & Manny welcome Jen & P.T. from The Long Take Review to put Jim Henson's classic Labyrinth to the ultimate test—THE NOSTALGIA TEST! “We might spend the most time on fart jokes.” -P.T. Much like the topic of this episode, the conversation is a collection of twists, turns, deceptions, off-color fart jokes, confusion about David Bowie's tights, and hallucinations. The gang goes into their love of Henson's use practical effects, they talk about all the memorable characters, the film's lasting impact on cinematic history, and did we say fart jokes. They also touch on the announcement of a sequel directed by Robert Eggers, is Gremlins 2 better than the OG, the influence of David Bowie's performance, and the broader legacy of Jim Henson's creations like The Dark Crystal. It wouldn't be an episode of The Nostalgia Test without all the tangents, memories of Matt Antoniou, and Manny ignoring Dan trying to end the podcast, though he had help from P.T. The harvest has come in, and we're tallying one less Rebel in its count. In the final installment of Andor's first triptych, “Harvest” (S2, E3), we're counting the cost of freedom. Mon sells her daughter to the Rebellion, Vel catches a glimpse of a lover who never spares the time…and one of our faves gives their life to the cause. In a happier light, we also revel in Chandrilan wedding rites and wonder how that marriage is really going to go. The star of this episode is, obviously, the Syril/Eedy/Dedra dinner party. FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageThe election of Pope Leo XIV shatters two millennia of Catholic tradition by elevating an American to the papacy for the first time. Born Robert Francis Prevost in Chicago, this Augustinian cardinal who spent years serving in the jungles of Peru brings a unique dual perspective to the Chair of Peter—combining Western financial acumen with deep experience ministering to the marginalized. This groundbreaking selection upends longstanding assumptions that an American cardinal could never become Pope due to U.S. superpower status. Yet after 133 cardinals cast their votes, white smoke signaled this historic choice that bridges North and South America. What factors drove this unexpected decision? The search for stability and unity following internal Church divisions appears paramount, with Cardinal Prevost representing a non-ideological figure who might heal rifts while maintaining doctrinal clarity.Pope Leo XIV's first appearances reveal a thoughtful, measured leader whose traditional vestments, Latin blessing, and emphasis on Vatican II continuity suggest a papacy that honors Catholic heritage while addressing modern challenges. His Augustinian spirituality—focused on community, contemplation, and service—shines through in his humble approach to leadership, exemplified by his citation of St. Augustine: "With you I am a Christian, for you I am a bishop." This servant-leader mindset, combined with impressive academic credentials and grassroots missionary experience, positions him uniquely to navigate the complex terrain of 21st century Catholicism.Want to understand what this historic papal election means for the future of the Catholic Church? Join us as we analyze Pope Leo XIV's background, selection, and first impressions—exploring how this American Pope might guide 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide while balancing tradition and reform in an increasingly divided global community.Key Points from the Episode:• Cardinal Robert Prevost's election represents a bridge between the first world and third world, having been born in Chicago but serving extensively in Peru• His Augustinian background emphasizes communal living, contemplative spirituality, and service to others• Four likely reasons for his selection: desire for unity after division, missionary experience, balanced perspective between intellectual rigor and service to the poor, financial acumen• Traditional vestments, Latin blessings, and emphasis on the Second Vatican Council indicate a balance between tradition and reform• His early addresses emphasize humility, collaboration, and service, citing St. Augustine: "With you I am a Christian, for you I am a bishop"• First papal trip abroad will be to Turkey for the 1700th anniversary of the Council of NicaeaLet us pray for Pope Leo XIV in his ministry guiding the universal Church, that his papacy may bring healing and unity to the faithful throughout the world.Other resources: Want to leave a review? Today, I reflect on the one-year anniversary of "Something About Her," the sandwich shop owned by Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix, where I famously went viral for my rant after waiting five hours for a sandwich and leaving empty-handed. To celebrate the occasion, I decided to return in disguise and give the sandwiches another shot, sharing my live reactions on TikTok. I tried several items, including the Viola, which I loved and rated a 9 out of 10, and the Diane, a tuna salad sandwich that disappointed me with a 2 out of 10 due to its dryness. I also discussed the shop's late opening and the lack of pastries available, but ultimately congratulated Katie and Ariana on their one-year milestone, recognizing the challenges of running a small business.
