After a long pre-production phase, it's the first episode of Unlimited Blade Jerks, a Fate/ podcast by Scout and Amanda! Amanda gives us an overview of the Fate/ franchise, and then our hosts go on to discuss the first episode of anime series Fate/Zero, "The Summoning of Heroes"! EPISODE NOTES from Amanda: Note 1: We somehow missed talking about Waver stealing Kayneth’s catalyst — it’s noted for next episode! Note 2: I was incorrect to assume that Lancer Artoria ages because she didn’t pull the sword from the stone. Apparently, her background and the timeline differences aren’t too clear. I haven’t played Camelot yet, pls forgive. Note 3: I also misunderstood the mythology of the Guf — main difference from Fate’s Akasha is that while the Guf produces souls, souls do not return there upon the death. Akasha produces AND collects. Note 4: Kirei Kotomine was adopted by Father Risei while he was doing some missionary work - this isn't covered until F/SN Heavens Feel route, though!
