Oh hey, we were supposed to do something for the Viscount. Good thing that guy is still at the hanged man getting drunk and bragging about being an absolute shithead. Hawke gets some information out of the guy, a templar with the grand cleric's seal abducted the qunari and paid our drunkard to turn his head. We don't get the opportunity to speak with Grand Cleric Elthina, though, because Mother Petrice intercepts us to say that the grand cleric would never sanction such a thing but surely it's fine because she trusts her subordinates to do the right thing. If we press Petrice, then she will sacrifice her trusted bodyguard Ser Varnell and label him a fanatic. She gives us his location and arrives on our heels to disavow Varnell's actions and set Hawke up as the coming retribution. One dead templar later, the Viscount has a huge headache to deal with. In other news, Hollow Knight: Silksong is getting its first pos-launch patch, and there's some slight balance tweaks that might make the game a little easier. Gamers have called out Silksong's steep difficulty, with some saying it's 'unfair.' And finally, Dead Island 3 could be in the works at developer Dambusters. The team celebrated the franchise's 14th anniversary on Steam and teased that the outbreak isn't over.

But personally, I wanted an opportunity to yell at the Disney Corporation and 20th Century Fox for completely ruining what should have been one of the greatest film franchises in the history of film. I mean seriously, Alien is a masterclass of storytelling and Aliens flipped the script by turning horror into an action/thriller. Then the studio dropped the ball on what should have been a solid David Fincher directed Alien 3. What little good was in that movie was completely excised in Alien Resurrection, then the god-awful Alien vs. Predator films, don't get me started on Prometheus, and Covenant and Romulus just doubled down on the Prometheus crap…And then I tried to watch Alien Earth. It's written by children.
