DAC6: climbing the new compliance mountain

This episode covers DAC6, the new EU transaction reporting requirements. The disclosures required are broad ranging and extensive and begin in July of this year, and it's going to be a key issue to understand in 2020. This goes especially for U.S. tax advisors who've been trying to get up to speed on the TCJA and may not yet have focused on DAC6. Chris’ guest is Howard Jones, a partner with PKF Littlejohn. Howard is a business tax Partner specializing in the insurance sector, and has over 30 years of experience in financial services. Howard has helped businesses from owner-managed brokers to listed multinationals, and he's PKF's lead on DAC6 issues. Howard and Chris discuss which transactions are covered, the reporting requirements, and potential impacts, including a greater compliance burden and new audits.
