WTF Australia

Well we're back in what can only be described as a rambling attempt to look at the news of the last couple of weeks. Tonights episode was the very model of organisation and preparation.   Yeah sorry no.   Anyway, this week James and Bernie talk cheese eating surrender monkeys, how the hell does Alan Joyce still have a job and Atheist Churches.   Note: it appears we had a bit of an internet issue which caused James's audio to go all wrong, sorry.

This week brings us biblical victim blaming, Cabinet papers, Craig Emmerson vs twitter and our first Arsewomble of the week. We also have a shoutout to our first Patreon patron at the end of the episode.

The only acronym to describe the events of the past week is WTF.   Asylum seekers attacked on Manus Island, Neknominate, Tony Burke tries Buzzfeed, Scott Morrison is a complete Scott Morrison and the ABC tracks down Abdul the Kebab Maker.   Note: Sorry about the audio, not sure what happened there.

After week off for Bernie to go watch the Vrooms at the Bathurst 12 Hour, we'll be back to find out whether Australia has found peak derp yet (ha, no such animal). Also, we break with tradition by including our first international WTF, and by including a nice story :)

We're back after a summer of frolicking and relaxing in the sun and surf. This week we have a look at the competition between the eastern states for the stupidest piece of legislation, briefly contemplate an OA for our work with Australian Cricket and ponder, will Schapelle ever be free?

This episode is a bit special as Bernie brings us his dramatic reading of a slightly dodgy transcript of Clive Palmers maiden speach to Parliament.   We also talk about the convoy of Clive, a council that wants to ban Councillors being huffy and in a move that surprises no on Scott Morrison acts like complete numpty. (Warning, contains swears)

After a week off for something called Real Life, James and Bernie return to pick over some of the brighter wtf moments of the past couple of weeks.   Some of the highlights include:   - A petition to save democracy by kicking out a democratically elected government - NBN Feelings - Music Festival feelings - Justin Bieber*    (*Not an actual highlight)

It never rains but pours. The last week has been a veritable flood of wtf moments, so much so that we couldn't get through our run down.   Some of the topics we covered included Queenslands succesful campaign against chailk on footpaths and funeral procession escorts, Gemma Jones and of course, 150kgs of illegal cheese.
