Als sich Lothar Matthäus aufmachte, um in Italien zum besten Fußballspieler der Welt zu reifen, waren Burkhard und Sven ziemlich weit weg. Burkhard in Australien, Sven in den USA. Der Sommer 1990 war ein Sommer, in dem auch abseits des Fußballs viel passierte. Sven schaffte es immerhin, rechtzeitig zum Siegestaumel auf Deutschlands Straßen zurück. Burkhard saß auf einer Insel vor der Küste Queenslands und erlebte in tiefer Nacht ziemlich einsam den größten Moment im Leben von Andy Brehme. Vor kurzem haben Burkhard und Brehme sich getroffen und über den Sommer 1990 gesprochen. Genauso wie sich Sven gemeinsam mit Litti erinnerte, der im dritten WM-Endspiel endlich den ersten Titel gewann. Das alles spielt eine große Rolle in der letzten Jogo-Folge vor der Wüsten-WM, für die Burkhard und Sven auf euren vielfachen Wunsch hin noch einmal ihren Song für Gianni gesungen haben. Under 2019 har sjukdomen hittats i Latinamerika för första gången och den anses vara ett hot mot matsäkerheten i världen. I Australien försöker professor James Dale och hans kollegor vid Queenslands tekniska universitet nu att ändra i DNA:t på bananerna med den så kallade CRISPR-gentekniken. På så sätt hoppas de att den ska bli resistent mot sjukdomen. Men sådana bananer skulle inte vara tillåtna i EU idag. På forskaren Jean-Pierre Horrys labb i Frankrike arbetar man därför med mer traditionell växtförädling, även om bananen är svår att jobba med eftersom den i så hög grad är steril. I programmet hörs Jonathan Yuen, professor emeritus i växtpatologi vid Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet, James Dale, professor vid Queenslands tekniska universitet, Jean-Pierre Horry, forskare vid CIRAD, ett centrum för lantbruksforskning i Frankrike, Louis Bäckström, Frukt- och gröntansvarig på en mataffär i Uppsala.
