En anden artikel fra 2023 om fund a carbon molekyler. https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-detect-intriguing-new-signals-of-organic-molecules-on-mars----------------------------------------Er Mars geologisk gold?https://www.sciencealert.com/colossal-discovery-on-mars-could-drive-surging-magma-under-the-surfaceMars has shown very convincing signs of being geologically dead, inside and out. Its relatively old surface – seeming to lack recent volcanic resurfacing and tectonic motion – and absence of a global magnetic field have been held up as reasons to think there's little else but firm, motionless rock all the way down to the core.Recent observations have poked significant holes in the notion of a completely dead Mars. There was a meteorite from Mars that made its way to Earth that showed signs of mantle convection as recently as around half a billion years ago for example. Then satellite photos revealed evidence of volcanic surface deposits as young as 50,000 years old in a fissure system called the Cerberus Fossae. And then Mars InSight, a lander monitoring the Mars interior since November 2018, revealed significant ongoing seismic activity consistent with volcanism. There have been a few other odd observations. The local gravity field of the Elysium Planitia, for example, is unusually strong, consistent with some sort of subsurface activity.Så der er mulgivis magma / flydende sten under overfladen.-------------------------------------------Lad os få et overblik over NASA's Mars aktivitet:https://science.nasa.gov/planetary-science/programs/mars-exploration/Last thing to land was Perserverence, which was in 30.07.2020 (5 years!)----------------------------------------------https://videnskab.dk/rummet/10-ting-du-ikke-vidste-om-mars/1. The gang discusses two papers that provide nuanced information to test when key innovations in vertebrate evolution occurred. The first paper looks at unique semi-terrestrial trace fossils in the early Devonian in order to determine the trace maker, and the second paper looks at fossils that could provide information about the origins of teeth. Meanwhile, Curt has theme park ambitions, James provides Amanda with new anxieties, and Amanda leaves it all to chance. Up-Goer Five (James Edition): The group talk about two papers that are looking at the earliest time things have been seen in the rocks. The first paper looks at some tracks in the rock left by animals with no legs that live in the water but can gasp air. We have looked at tracks from the same place before where the animals stuck their faces into the ground. The new tracks come in two forms. The first is where the animal took a rest and its bits that it uses to move in the water stuck in the ground. The other track is where it had to come out of the water and moved around on land. It used its head to pull it along as it moved. The track made by this is the same as tracks made by the same type of animal that still lives today. This is the oldest case of this type of animal moving on land and shows that animals with hard parts inside them began to move onto land in lots of different ways. The other paper looks at the supposed earliest time we find teeth growing on skin. This is interesting because there are several ideas about why the teeth began to grow on the skin, so when it first started could help tell which of these reasons is true. The skin teeth bit has been considered the same as an animal with no legs that lived in the water that was found in younger rocks from a different place, but when studied up close it does not look like the thing it is named as. By using lights to look inside the rock and seeing whether it looks the same as skin teeth on living animals it is shown that the old skin teeth are not skin teeth at all but actually are parts of the skin of a different animal with no hard parts inside that has legs that move in many places. Wednesday night, from the Oval Office, we were told "the left" is the source of all that's poisonous in our political discourse, ironically by one of the most venomous vitriolic pursed lips in American political history. Fast-forward to today when we awaken to those lips flapping on 'Fox & Friends' to reveal that "we have him," the shooting suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination. What's noteworthy about that visit to the curved couch was when he had the audacity to say “the radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don't want to see crime. They don't want to see crime. They're saying: We don't want these people coming in; we don't want you burning our shopping centers; we don't want you shooting our people in the middle of the street."Sure, hindsight's 20/20, but so is collected data that shows alt-right white nationalism far and away leads all participants when it comes to political violence, but hey, he couldn't have known the suspect - Tyler Robinson - was allegedly a Nick Fuentes fanatic, aka a "groyper." Yeah, the same Nick Fuentes Donald dined with. Derp. More on that HERE and HERE. Not to be outdone, however, in the "tasting of shoe leather" competition is one Eric Erickson, the Omaha steak-hawking right wing radio provocateur who inherited many of his affiliates from the Rush Limbaugh I believed that sparked the ratcheting up of divisive and dangerous political rhetoric in this country. Eric penned an op/ed in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that hinted at "one side-ism," but had a markedly less partisan tone than his YouTube and in-show screed where he relentlessly finger-wagged at "the left" for it needing to police its own.Again, though, he popped off before the savvy folks on X who know a thing or two about Fuentes' groyper movement and had the ability to read into the subtle messaging on shell casings to connect the dots.

Sosialistene vil gjerne overbevise om at de står for trygghet.

Was sonst? Kein Problem. Man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts....https://apolut.net/der-herbst-der-grausamkeiten-von-paul-clemente/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

I've said for a few days now that Donald Trump's goading of Texas to "find" five new safely GOP congressional seats in a highly unusual mid-decade gerrymander could spark something akin to a civil war. Perhaps not a literal "military" rift between red and blue states, but a fraying of the threads that keep them "united" as a nation. Well, it turns out I'm not the only one who thinks that. Bloomberg's Ronald Brownstein sees what I see, too: blue states matching what Texas does to counter-act their stifling of "we, the people's" ability to elect representation vs letting the representation choose us. Where does that lead us as a nation? It's ominous to consider, and more importantly, it's anti-democratic. Perhaps the silver lining in all of this is that Texas' egregious actions could be what finally convinces enough Americans and House members to pursue making gerrymandering illegal - no matter the state doing it. Texas state representative James Talarico - I think of him as "white Obama" - is a pastor, former teacher and rising star in the Democratic Party. He's everything scumbags like Ted Cruz isn't: courageous, decent and lives his morals and values. He's among the handful of Democrats refusing to give Governor Greg Abbott the legislative quorum required to pass the Trump-ordered gerrymander. Do keep an eye on him if you aren't already. Meanwhile, Donald Trump thinks he has the power to have the Commerce Department "re-do" the 2020 census to remove undocumented people from the count. Never mind the unconstitutional nature of the order (buy when's that stopped him before?) but say he does it: doesn't that also mean Texas loses three U.S. House seats when 2.1 million immigrants aren't counted? Derp. ------Closer to home, Georgia's still fighting the Civil War in a court battle with the Sons of the Confederacy. You see, Stone Mountain Park, just outside Atlanta - the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan - had long been a magnet glorifying the Confederacy. After civil rights protests in 2020, the state drew down a lot of that, and the SOCVs are throwing a judicial hissy. Here again, a Kemp-led Georgia (a broke clock being right occasionally) steered from pandering to Confederate fetishists, and Trump's recent emboldening of said fetishism has them itching for a fight. ------Lastly - and this is rich - Georgia attorney general Chris Carr is howling like a scalded dog because his 2026 GOP gubernatorial combatant (Burt Jones) has the benefit of a state law giving him cover to fundraise using a "leadership committee" only state legislators or governors or lieutenant governors can use prior to winning party primaries. Here's the funny part: AG Carr has been defending the law that created that unfair advantage in court since it became law. Also, a Republican whining about there being "too much money" in campaigns when his party's done everything they could to let as much big money sicken the process for decades.
In the hazy aftermath of 4th of July, thankfully Tahoe didn't burn down but tragically the North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge did. We dive into the Republican party's latest identity crisis as their own media machine turns on itself. We explore how decades of conspiracy theories and manufactured outrage have created a base that demands their leaders deliver on impossible promises—and what happens when reality finally catches up.We examine the MAGA movement's relationship with truth, the cult-like devotion that prevents accountability, and how certain recent developments have exposed the gears of the right-wing propaganda machine in real time. Plus, we tackle the persistent myth that America needs a "healthy two-party system" and why that thinking might be exactly backwards. From the cornfield resistance, we're reworking classic theater for modern times—because sometimes the absurd is the only way to make sense of the absurd.Stay in Touch! Rejection—it's the sting we all dread. Whether you're battling social anxiety, people-pleasing, or simply trying to navigate life's challenges, the fear of rejection can keep you trapped. But what if you could take the sting out of rejection for good? In this episode, we explore the hidden patterns behind our fear of rejection, why it feels so painful, and how it secretly shapes our lives. Aziz shares key insights from his recent virtual event, guiding you to uncover your default rejection pattern (DERP). This is the first step toward transforming your relationship with rejection and unlocking true freedom. Stay tuned for part two, where we'll dive into actionable tools to help you thrive in the face of rejection. Don't miss this chance to reclaim your power and live boldly!------------------------------------------------------------Do you find yourself going to great lengths to avoid rejection? You may have learned, like many people with social anxiety, to keep a low profile—avoiding speaking up, not drawing attention to yourself, and staying under the radar just to avoid feeling rejected. But here's the truth: by avoiding rejection, you're not really protecting yourself—you're limiting your life. Today, let's talk about how to take the sting out of rejection so you can move past the fear and boldly live your life, no matter what. The Hidden Cost of Avoiding Rejection When you've got social anxiety or you struggle with people-pleasing, the fear of rejection often controls your decisions. It's not about actively getting rejected—it's about keeping your life small so that rejection never happens. But here's the problem: while you may be successfully avoiding outright rejection, you're still feeling rejected on a deeper, emotional level. You might feel unworthy, invisible, disconnected, or as if you're missing out on life's opportunities—even when no one has actually rejected you. This is the hidden cost of constantly avoiding rejection. It creates an emotional cage where you're safe from the outward pain of rejection, but the inner pain of feeling unworthy or disconnected becomes your constant companion. The Path Forward: Move Toward Rejection, Not Away From It So, how do you break free from this trap? The key is to stop running away from rejection and instead move toward it. This doesn't mean you should seek rejection on purpose, but it means you need to take the actions that align with your true desires—even if some rejection might happen along the way. As hard as it is to hear, the reality is that rejection is inevitable if you want to truly live your life. The more you stretch out of your comfort zone—whether that's putting yourself out there socially, expressing your opinion, or going after a career opportunity—the more likely you are to face some form of rejection. And that's okay. How to Take the Sting Out of Rejection: A Mindset Shift To truly take the sting out of rejection, you have to change your relationship with it. It's not about eliminating the bad feelings that come with rejection; it's about understanding where those feelings come from and how you can respond to them differently. Recognize the Default Pattern: When you face rejection, what's your first reaction? For many, it's an overwhelming sense of failure. You might think, “I'm unworthy,” or “This means I'll never be good enough.” But these thoughts are part of a default pattern—a learned response that you've created over time. Pause and Reflect: When you get rejected, instead of reacting with shame or self-criticism, take a moment to slow down. Reflect on your emotional response. What are you telling yourself about this rejection? Are you internalizing it as proof that you're not good enough? Use the Pain as a Reminder: Instead of letting rejection crush you, see it as a reminder to practice a new way of thinking. Just like I use physical pain as a reminder to practice self-care for my body, emotional pain from rejection can be a reminder to practice self-compassion. It's not about running away from the pain—it's about responding to it with care and understanding. The Power of Persistence One of the most powerful tools for overcoming the sting of rejection is gentle persistence. This means learning to persist after receiving a “no” without pushing past someone's boundaries. Instead of quitting when you face rejection, take a moment to reframe the situation and ask, “What can I learn from this?” Maybe the rejection wasn't personal. Maybe it wasn't the right timing. But by persistently staying true to yourself and your desires, you'll increase your chances of future success. Take Action Now If you're ready to start shifting your relationship with rejection, your action step today is simple: study your default response. When you experience rejection, what thoughts and feelings come up? Is there a story you tell yourself about your worth? Start writing down these responses and look for patterns. The more you study them, the less power they will have over you. This self-awareness is the first step toward freeing yourself from the sting of rejection. Closing Thoughts: You Are Worthy Remember, rejection doesn't define your worth. It's not about how others perceive you—it's about how you perceive yourself. You have the power to change the way you respond to rejection, and by doing so, you'll unlock a life full of connection, confidence, and courage. Keep practicing, and you'll find that rejection doesn't sting nearly as much as it used to. You've got this.
