You Talk Too Much is the show where we talk about the things that people say you should not talk about; in life, relationships, and business. I am a 29 year old black woman who has struggled with depression and who has been addicted to a toxic lifestyle
Have you ever spent time with people and it turned into an entire therapy session? Well, this is what the final episode of You Talk Too Much gave— girl talk and therapy. In this episode Deja updates us on her journey within motherhood, entrepreneurship, and home life. All of the guest poured into her and we all gained things that we didn't even know we needed. Listen to the final episode of You Talk Too Much.
We are excited to bring back our amazing guest, Tiffany, Klarke, Deja, and Victoria! On this episode we dive deep into what it means to be responsible with our emotions. Klarke shares how despite how she feels when dealing with people, she has learned an effective way to not take things personal. Victoria shares how she is instilling these important values in her daughter, and the importance in putting yourself first. Join us for part two of the reunion episode.
I brought back all of my guest and put them in one room to answer tough questions, laugh, and get deep. The reunion episode part one dives deep into motherhood, lessons learned, and advice for women in their twenties-- but not before we play a fun game of song association! We all know motherhood is hard. It is even more difficult as black teen mom. As black women, we do not have the luxury of being taught about post postpartum and what it means to dive into motherhood. Join us as Tiffany, Klarke, Victoria and Deja make their return to the You Talk Too Much's couch!
As Bri'Ann prepares for the reunion episode, she recorded a few voter pick episodes! Today's episode is brought to you by Klarke Foreman because it received the most amount of views: How to confidently walk in who God says you are and not being overcome by the fear of man. So many successful people credit their sense of self and their confidence to their success. Confidence is built on different things, but overall it is built on knowing who you are, the choices you make, and accomplishments that feed your passion.
Everyone wants to know how to make money or make people work for you or with you with no money-- interns. But a lot of those answers start with you as a business owner and your etiquette. Bri'Ann drops a lot of free business game from growing a team, to gaining sponsorships, to setting boundaries.
Bri'Ann talks about how a setback doesn't necessarily have to set you backwards. It all depends on how you handle it. Deja joins her and shares how she was dealing with her own setbacks at the time that not many people knew about in the midst of her booming business. Some people will believe that once the success comes, failures will not happen. How you overcome setbacks will ultimately determine if you will continue to be successful and move forward. Setbacks are kind of inevitable. Failure will occur. However, your mindset matters most.
One of the first steps for any breakthrough is humility because it puts you in a position to be corrected, learn what is right, and gain more knowledge and wisdom. Bri'Ann shares how she has never had a dream job where she is working for someone else, but she has always envisioned a dream life. Once her company started growing, she thought she was untouchable and her dream life was around the corner… until I wasn't. At one point things got so bad that her business account had $20 in it.
If we can agree on anything, we can agree that life is hard. The crazy thing is some people will make you believe that life doesn't get hard until you have bills, kids, a husband, family, or a job… but life gets hard before that. Bri'Ann talks about how she has struggled with being carless, jobless, and moneyless. Victoria joins her and shares how she has been able to overcome one of her most difficult situations and the lessons she's learned.
You have the good relationships that you should hold on to-- despite your pride, the bad relationships that you should throw away-- despite your history, and those in between relationships that are only seasonal. I'm sure y'all know exact what I'm talking about. Bri'Ann shares some very interesting stories and insight because she has gone through it. She says that, "sometimes you're trying to handle difficult people who shouldn't be in your life anyway."
We all know that practicing what you say is not easy to do and it doesn't happen overnight. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like whenever I finally decide to make a change, here comes a test: something or someone gets on my last nerve. It's almost like everything I've meditated on goes out the window. Bri'Ann talks about how when it comes to making a change, the test of life will come at you quick; you either pass or fail. Klarke joins her and shares how she has been able to handle difficult people and situations.
Some people absolutely need to be put in their place. I don't doubt that at all. But there is a way to do it. You don't have to belittle someone or curse someone out to set boundaries and let people know you aren't the one. I'm going to be talking about some horrible things I've said to people because I felt like it was justified. We are quick to “tell somebody off” especially when we are hurt, frustrated, sad, etc. We are also going to talk about the freedom of speech and why there are restrictions to freedom in order to maximize it. Yes, you can say what you want but wouldn't you rather say what is right?
Bri'Ann talks overdosing, being kicked out of her parents house, and what changed the course of her life— with her mother and life coach, Tiffany Ro. Tiffany shares her practical tips for changing your life. She doesn't solve your problem. She helps you organize your unorganized thoughts so you discover how to successfully handle your own problems
We're discussing negative lifestyles caused by bad habits, and I'm not only referring to that burger you ate at midnight, but I am talking about those bad business decisions and horrible dating decisions too. I'd be hypocritical if I got on here and preached about bad habits without sharing any of my own, so let's talk about toxic lifestyles. The gift mentioned during the show is only for listeners who participated on March 8, 2022.
