Once the shock of lockdown wore off, Iain Todd (Saffire Freycinet, Tasmania) realised that he was emotionally and physically fatigued. After working his entire career, putting every ounce of energy into cheffing, the chance to get some rest sent his body into shock and he ended up in hospital with pneumonia during the peak of the pandemic. But, invaluable time with family, including attending his sons first birthday made him realise the value of work/life balance, and it’s shaping the way he runs the restaurant.https://saffire-freycinet.com.auFollow Deep In The Weeds on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/deepintheweedspodcast/?hl=enFollow Huckhttps://www.instagram.com/huckstergram/Follow Rob Locke (Executive Producer)https://www.instagram.com/foodwinedine/LISTEN TO OUR OTHER PODCASTSDirty Linen with Dani Valenthttps://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/dirty-linen-a-food-podcast-with-dani-valent/id1518946986The Crackling with Anthony Huckstephttps://linktr.ee/thecrackling

The pod returns to Glasgow for the first time in a while…and is lucky enough to welcome a very special guest! Capital FM Breakfast Show host and former Celtic TV and current MUTV host Des Clarke ((@des_clarke) makes his pod debut. Host Teddy (@ComedyTeddy) is also joined by our honorary (token) non-comedian guest, Killie fan Michael Park (@GreatCollapso), Celtic & Queen’s Park fan Iain Todd (@iainmacivertodd) and Celtic fan and reigning Scottish Comedian of the Year, Eddie Cassidy (@cassidy_eddie). In this pre-season special, topics include the Confederations Cup (and the Lawro-berating that you’d all expect), transfers, managerial changes…and what does Scottish football need to do to stop our clubs ending up in administration? Joining host Teddy (@ComedyTeddy) on this episode are twins Andy (@toddandy) & Iain Todd (@iainmacivertodd) who do dress differently apart from in their choice of scarves when going to see their joint-teams of Celtic & Queens Park. It’s nice to support at least one club that enjoys playing at Hampden… Making his pod debut is the exception that proves the rule for the pod…he’s not a comedian. Michael Park (@SawkerNews) set up sadly missed football site Scheidt’s Footballing Miscellany, the demise of which inspired ScottishComedyFC.com. Hence, he’s not a comedian but he gets a pass. This episode include moves to emerging leagues going wrong, the role of the back-up keeper…and a lot of unnecessary Eastern Bloc facts from the host.
