Lynnette Abbott was and still is a shining light to all who know her. She lived with passion and love. In memory of Lynnette, I am sharing this episode we recorded last year about her journey with cancer. She was committed to thriving with cancer and not allowing this to be the end of her story. My hope is that this episode will play a role in ensuring her story continues.

Do you ever catch yourself watching, wishing and waiting to press play on a dream or idea that’s been brewing in your heart? What I’ve noticed with many of my clients is they already have success in business, but they have this secret heart project that they want to bring to the world.   In this episode, I get cozy with Lynnette Abbott where we talk about trust, taking steps blindly and making decisions from love, not fear.  Lynnette Abbott is the founder and designer of Craft My Occasion, a company that creates party supplies celebrating children of color. What started as a party planning company, turned into a purpose-driven company when Lynnette discovered that there was a huge disparity in the amount and variety of party supplies that feature characters of colors. As a creative, Lynnette was compelled to create more diversity for the party planning industry. Craft My Occasion’s party supplies raised more than $21,000 and was named a “Project We Love” by Kickstarter. The party supplies have also been featured in The Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Parents, Black Enterprise, and POPSUGAR. What you'll hear (and don't want to miss!): :: The pivotal moment Lynnette realized she needed to change directions in her career and still be creative, but with less stress :: What challenges Lynnette overcame to pursue her passion project :: What the journey to start her own business looked like, including the way she successfully used a Kickstarter campaign to make it all happen :: Where Lynnette’s passion for celebrating parties comes from :: What lessons healing from cancer has taught Lynnette and the way she’s applied them to her business :: The amazing story about how she stopped wishing and waiting, and made her dream of living on Hawaii a reality You can find the full show notes from this episode over at https://jadahsellner.com/celebrating-life-now-lynnettee-abbott-155  In this episode, we mentioned the Build Your Challenge course that Lynnette joined before launching her $21,000 Kickstarter campaign. You can get the 5-step roadmap for free at buildyourchallenge.com And to learn more about the Love Over Metrics Incubator that Lynnette has been a part of, make sure you’re on the waitlist at loveovermetrics.com One thing that I love is hearing from you.
