In this long overdue episode, I talk with author Micah S. Harris about the final book in his Witches of Winter trilogy, Portrait of War, Ice, and Dragons.
Strong heroines and banter are trademarks of Micah S. Harris' stories, and his recent fantasy Portrait of a Snow Queen is no exception. His lifelong love of movies influences his fiction, but especially his 2016 Pulp Ark Award winner for best novel, Ravenwood, the Stepson of Mystery: Return of the Dugpa. He is also the writer of Image Comics Heaven's War with artist Michael Gaydos (Jessica Jones). Photo: John Lance Website: minorprofitpress.com
This is part 2 of my interview with author Micah S. Harris about his The Witches of Winter Trilogy.
My long time friend and author, Micah S. Harris is my guest this time. He has just published the second book in his Winter Witch Trilogy - Portrait of a Winter Court. It's the continuing story of Freyja and Ambrose, their budding romance and the dangers they face. I enjoyed this book immensely. This is a fun interview as we bounce from topic to topic including this book, the previous one, more of Micah's writings, Frozen, key word searches, King Kull, Hans Christian Andersen, Hyperborea, dragons, and cat litter Yep, cat litter.

Author joins Monster Kid Radio this week, and he's bringing The Woman Eater (dir. Charles Saunders) with him. This 1958 film is the main topic of conversation, but that's not all Micah and Derek talk about this week on the podcast. We'll learn a bit about Micah's background as a monster kid and writer, what interesting . . . creature . . . he had for a pet as a kid, and, of course, he plays a round of the Classic Five.
