While Exodus described the construction of the Tabernacle, Leviticus goes on to teach about what was to be done there: namely to provide a way for sinful man to be restored to a holy God. While believers in Christ today look back by faith at the cross for our peace with God, His people in the Old Testament looked by faith toward the cross pictured in the offerings performed at the Tabernacle.
