2020 was a hard year for everybody, but it was especially hard for the fitness community. Gyms were closed down, trainers were forced to seek other employment, sport and recreation activities and events were cancelled. There has not ever been a more challenging time to achieve or maintain fitness. And I hope that we don't ever have to experience that again, but what if we do?Today's video is all about 2021 and what you can do to minimize the effects of outside influence on your fitness journey. First of all, you have to open up your mind to opportunity, the people that excelled 2020 were the people that have a lifestyle of fitness and recognize a workout when they see it. Functional fitness was king in 2020, the creativity of the fitness minded was inspirational on social media throughout the year.

Welcome back to Defining Fitness for episode 4. Heres the deal, if you’re not having fun with fitness you’re doing it wrong, or you’re doing the wrong thing. There is no way that anyone could ever accuse today’s guest of not having a good time. She has maintained a very high level of competition across several sports for over a decade, and it’s because as she would say, “She Freaking Loves It.”First a marathoner, then a triathlete, transitioned to CrossFit after the birth of her daughter, 2 CrossFit games regional appearances later, she has transitioned her sole focus to Olympic Weightlifting, a sport in which she has already qualified for a spot at Nationals. Our guest today is, the always fun, Faith Cooke.
Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Defining Fitness. Episode three to be exact. Today’s episode is going to focus on nutrition. If you are someone that has just begun your journey into fitness this is the place to start. Nutrition is by far the most important element of fitness. A lot of people make it too complicated, it doesn’t have to be complicated, as our guest today, Lauren Mickler will explain. Lauren is a best selling author, Certified Nutritional Health Coach, and Owner of Intentional Health Habits Health and Wellness Company You can keep up with what she is doing on Instagram @intentionalhh or at her website, intentionalhealthhabits.com. Again, no matter how you ultimately define fitness, nutrition should be the base to build on. I want to thank everyone that has downloaded an episode in the past and anyone that might listen to this episode, please if you have found any value or even just been entertained, leave a rating and review. That really goes a long way in helping us to build our reach. Don’t forget to follow our Instagram @definingfitness.
Wade and I sit down to go more in depth about our background in fitness. We talk about childhood sports, adulthood woes, and then where we are now. We talked a lot about CrossFit. That is because it is our most common outlet for fitness, but the topics that we discussed can apply to any form of your pursuit to self define your personal fitness.
