Hello, my name is Larry Anderson and welcome to the Digital Culture Change Podcast, where the aim is to unpack digital transformation in layman’s terms......especially the people side of digital change and how we ensure people adopt, become proficient and ultimately utilise the technology to support…
In this episode my colleague Jenny van Rinsum and I deliver a presentation to delegates at the Release Train Engineer Summit 2020. Jenny and I work together on the same program. She is the Agile Coach and Scrum Master and I am the Business Change Lead on a SAP S/4Hana implementation across EMEA. We discuss Agile planning, adapting to virtual working and managing cultural differences across a distributed engineering team amongst other topics. It was a presentation so you will hear us referring to slides, but know you will find as much value as the feedback we received at the time suggested. Enjoy
Really excited to publish the interview that I did with ex-Metropolitan Police Detective, Philip Grindell MSc MSyl for the Digital Culture Change Podcast. After the tragic murder of the British MP Jo Cox, Philip was personally asked by Parliament to prevent such events happening again. He has since been dubbed the 'Online Bodyguard' by the UK press and founded Defuse Global as CEO to protect public figures from threats made against them on social media and by other means. You may have recently seen him on Sky News and ITV This Morning: https://bit.ly/3abXejs commenting on the death of Caroline Flack, the reality TV star. I went through a range of emotions as we discussed various topics such as the typical (but not exclusive) demographic of online trolls, the current cultural norms of acceptable online behaviour; working from home during lockdown; young girls exploited by gangs and how to report trolls. Thanks Philip.
I met Victoria at The Chatbots and AI MeetUp in London where she was giving a talk about the people-side of implementing AI technology, so I knew she would be a great guest. Enjoy and don't forget to like, comment and share with your friends. Please do subscribe on your chosen podcasting platform.
I met Avnesh at a 'Meet-Up' in London hosted by his employer at the time and when I approached him about being interviewed for the podcast he was more than supportive. He is in the enviable position of having delivered digital programmes and projects for SMEs, and large scale organisations in both the public and private sectors. His unique perspective on digital evolution over transformation stems from the insights and lessons learned from these programmes. We cover a wide range of challenges including leadership, adoption, motives, and organisational silos. You could learn something new from his perspective or be reminded of something you already knew, so listen to the end as you go for a run, walk the dog, cook or wait for your delayed train.
In this episode I do a Skype interview Steve Prokopiou, who has deep experience in the data analytics and visualisation software space, who amongst other roles, was Director of Professional Services in EMEA for Tableau, the data analytics and visualisation software company. We cover a range of topics including business driving the digital transformation agenda rather than IT, how leaders need to be disruptive within their own organisations to drive meaningful change and visits to the data doctor.
In this episode I interview Stephen Gray, founder of the consultancy Digital First. We cover a wide range of topics from old school Work Study and Organisational Methods to his digital strategy and execution work with UK local government and 3rd sector organisations. We cover his innovative take on the role of leadership, great design AND circus elephants!
