So many films, too little time. In an effort to wade through a sea of titles, I take mates with me to see the latest films and give you our thoughts, and have a laugh. Music from "Cheery Monday" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), and sound effects from ThompsonMan (https://freesound.org/people/Thom…
Something a bit different this time; my friend Tom and I have a chat about the films of Christopher Nolan. We talk about what makes his films interesting, some of our favourites, and a bit about the role women play in his films and others. Hope you enjoy!
The podcast is BACK, with an incredibly late episode, talking about 2019's (FML) Joker. I'm getting the podcast back on the road, so there will be some more episodes coming soon, but hopefully this whets the appetite until I can get back into the swing of things with new stuff. Enjoy!
The dece-episode! After another lenghty delay (sorry) we're going into space with they oh so pretty Mr Pitt in Ad Astra. Please note this episode's recording quality is a little lower than usual due to it occuring in a brewery on a Friday night and being recorded on my phone. The beer may have made this a slightly more giggly episode but hopefully you enjoy. See you time for a London Film Festival special :)
This episode we're looking at Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Tarantino's 9th film. My lovely fiancé Charlotte joined me again for the hat-trick to chat about the film and some exciting films coming up. Don't forget to rate/like the episide and subscribe for future ones. Also keep an eye out for my blog that will accompany the podcast, launching soon!
We're finally back! Sorry for the delay but we're back with a big one; the 'live action' remake of Lion King. I'll also be launching my blog soon that will accompany the podcast with written reviews :) Don't forget to rate/like the episode and subscribe for future ones!
Really lovely episode this week where my mate Sophie and I talk about Booksmart; one of my favourite films of the year so far. Apologies this is a bit of a delayed recording having seen this a couple of weeks ago in The Odyssey in St. Albans (lovely place!), but as soon as you get a chance you need to see this film!
It's a double header! Ahead of going away on holiday I managed to squeeze in two recordings; with this being the first. My clever, funny, wonderful fiancé and I watched Midsommar and we had a lovely little chat about it. Warning - there's some preamble in which we review the Cats trailer and it is not kind.
This week Tom and I talk all things Marvel as we review Spider-Man: Far From Home. We also establish where the line is on audience participation in cinemas and discuss what a lovely lovely man Tom Holland is. A little bit of swearing as per usual for those for whom that's a concern - but otherwise enjoy!
THAT'S RIGHT WE'RE BACK. I know, I've been out for a while and that's largely/entirely my fault. This episode would've been out last week if it weren't for some 'technical difficulties'. Anyway, this week I talk to my fiance Charlotte and sister Lucy about Toy Story 4 and it was a real treat. Hope you enjoy the episode and don't forget to subscribe and rate it on your podcast wrangling site. Stay tuned for upcoming episodes for Spider-Man:Far from Home and Booksmart :)
This week I'm talking Rocketman with Elton and Hornets fan Jamie. Hope you enjoy and subscribe! Theme music is 'Cheery Monday' by Kevin MacLeod and sound effects are recorded by myself (get me).
You're back! Thanks for that, and I hope you enjoy this week's episode with Simon and I reviewing the latest Claire Denis film, 'High Life' starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche. As will be the usual there's a bit o' swearing, but nothing too heinous. The theme music is 'Cheery Monday' by Kevin MacLeod, and sound effects are recorded by myself (get me).
My mate Jack (subtly known as 'Ginge' by most) kindly came to see Tolkein with me. We had a quick chat about some of his favourite films, and then our thoughts on the film. Bit of swearing, especially when discussing the numerous blatant Lord of the Rings references.Music from "Cheery Monday" by Kevin MacLeod, and sound effects from ThompsonMan and MegaPenguin13 from Freesound.org.
