Remember when Custom Cones USA offered a $70,000 salary for the "Ultimate Stoner Dream Job,' which was basically a content creator who smoked weed every day—they reportedly had so many applicants that they were overwhelmed by the response.​Well, this one isn't as lucrative, but it would be a banger for the resume. The winner will be the candidate who "best embodies the passion for High Life—and what it means to call the home of Miller High Life your own."​The prize package is ... fine. It includes an exclusive dinner for eight at the Miller Caves, a historic part of the Miller Brewery dating back to 1849. The winner also receives a pair of High Life t-shirts, two hats, and a $2,000 check to basically pay the taxes on the prize. The winner also walks away with two cases of High Life, which seems low. I feel like the Mayor of the Champagne of Beers Region should score a few more than 48 beers.​Furthermore, the winner must also attend an “honorary Mayor Inauguration” at the Miller Visitor's Center in Milwaukee on September 19, 2026, or the prize will be forfeited in its entirety. All told, the Mayor of the "Champagne of Beers" region will land a salary valued at $6,500.​Molson Coors is technically a sponsor, and Merkle, a company that specializes in digital marketing experiences, is running the show.​To enter, you must live in one of about 86 zip codes, not mine, and be 25 years old—or older.​To win, you must not only be eligible but also submit to a confidential background check. Miller needs to make sure the winner hasn't engaged in any brand-damaging conduct. They certainly don't want to trigger a negative viral response — looking at you, Bud Light.​The contest began yesterday at noon CT and will end on August 23, 2026, at midnight.​Each contestant must include an original essay -- which is loose given that it's 250 words or less -- describing why they should be the mayor of the High Life, as well as a photo of them living the “High Life”. What would that be? Given that it's summer in Wisconsin, I figure it's some sort of tubing or pontoon-related photo. Oh, and it can't be AI-generated, any of it.​Of course, there are a host of rules that you can break with this essay, but they seem straightforward. For example, you can't make any deceptive or unsubstantiated claims about Molson Coors products, you can't mention any brand or trademark not owned by the company, and you can even get DQ'd if you have unauthorized third-party content or art in the background of your photo.​The winner will be chosen by a panel of "qualified judges" who will score each submission based on the following.50%: Passion for High Life25%: Originality (stands out as memorable)25%: Strength of Argument (why you should be picked over everyone else).​Do you have what it takes to be the Mayor of the "Champagne of Beers" region? Years earlier, Dream Beard was invited by Memphis May Fire to attend ShipRocked. During a day off, he noticed people were smoking cigars and wanted to do the same, so he went on an adventure seeking one out. As he wandered past a row of private villas, he spotted a man sitting on a porch enjoying one. Dream Beard asked where he could find a cigar, and the man invited him into his bungalow to share his own. That man was Adam Ramey. And he's still here. Myconversation was great. It was just great. RandallBramblett is a singer, songwriter, and multi - instrumentalist,born in Jesup, Georgia, but based in Athens,Georgia. His music is rooted in south funk, blues, R &B, psychedelic punk, jazz, and wherever the hell else he wants to go. His music spans a careerof solo work, collaborations, and being the leaderof the band. He played with the Allman Brothers,Steve Winwood, Bonnie Raitt, Sea Level, WidespreadPanic, Levon Helm, the Atlanta Rhythm section,Delbert McClinton, Betty LeVette, you name it.Because there's just too many people to list.It really is phenomenal what this man has accomplished.He went to UNC with the intent to major in psychologyand to join the seminary. But that was not tobe after hearing artists like James Taylor, CaroleKing, and Bob Dylan and thinking, you know what,I probably could do this. Once he abandoned thatpathway, he moved to Athens to write songs and see how it would carry him. It led to much more than songwriting. It led to a plethora of creativitythat couldn't be stopped. His music continuesto grow like grapes on a vine, always tastingdifferent and always depending on the weather.He probably says yes, too many times and playswherever time will take him. We talked about beginning his music, when he went to UNC, how he got involved with Sea Level, Steve Winwoodand some of these other artists and just howhis life has been since he started this wonderful journey. So here is my lovely conversationwith Randall Bramblett.

Eggerding has been in the corner office since 2018 and has steered FC through a series of challenges and triumphs during his time leading the company. The Dutchman has brought more high horology and cool collaborations to the value and volume-driven brand, including perpetual calendars and tourbillons as well as more precious-metal cases. But it's a delicate balance for Frederique Constant as value-priced watches still account for more than 90% of its production volumes. Amid rising input costs and a strong Swiss franc, not to mention the challenge of U.S. tariffs, Eggerding's biggest challenge is maintaining FC's value proposition while burnishing its reputation as a serious watchmaker able to produce high-end timepieces.
