It's for anyone who's ever held on to someone emotionally even after they've gone, reliving the moments, the goodbyes, and the silence that follows. “I Love You Like a Habit” is for anyone who's ever stayed in a relationship not out of passion, but out of routine, when love becomes something familiar, automatic, and quietly fading. It speaks to those who feel emotionally distant from their partner but struggle to let go because the comfort of “us” still feels safer than the unknown. This song is for the quiet heartbreak of staying, even when the fire has long gone out.
"Future Tense" speaks to anyone who's been in a relationship built more on hopes and promises than reality. It's for the dreamers who planned a future with someone emotionally unavailable or distant, where love lived in potential, but not in presence. It captures the heartbreak of realizing you were more in love with the idea of what could be than the actual relationship.
“When Time Forgot Us” is a surreal love song about two souls who exist outside the boundaries of time. It paints a poetic, dreamlike world where there are no clocks, no ageing, and no endings, just an eternal moment shared between two lovers. The song captures the feeling of timeless connection, like a bond so deep it transcends reality, space, and memory.

"Empty Drawer" is for anyone quietly grieving the loss of a relationship after the noise has faded. It speaks to those moments alone when you're not crying, just noticing the absence. It's for people who still open drawers, closets, or memories out of habit, only to be reminded that someone is no longer there. This song is for the ones who don't need dramatic goodbyes to feel the heartbreak just a quiet room and something left behind.
"Static Between Us" is a powerful anthem for anyone who's felt an unshakable connection with someone, even when distance or silence comes between them. It's about that electric pull, emotional, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. Whether it's a long-distance love, a breakup that still lingers, or a bond that defies logic, this song captures the feeling of being forever wired to someone who left a spark behind.
This song is for anyone who's ever fallen for someone they shouldn't. It's for those torn between logic and emotion, who hear every warning, feel every doubt, yet still can't walk away. Whether you're male or female, if you've ever felt pulled toward a connection that defies reason but ignites something deep in your soul, this song is your story.

Being a Christian in a secular world isn't always easy is it? You might even see the conflict between righteousness and worldliness on the job every day. The temptations are everywhere. But, as we'll see in our study today, Christians are supposed to set themselves above the ways of the world. It's a lofty goal, but one that is certainly not beyond our reach. There are obsolete laws everywhere, and today on The Dwelling Place, we'll again look at the relationship between Old Testament Law, and the Grace of Jesus Christ. This is not to imply that God's law is obsolete, but we must integrate our adherence to the Law, with our understanding that we've been sanctified and set apart through our relationship with Jesus Christ. Oba Dafidi is a Highlife and Afro-fusion gospel musician whose music is rooted in faith, culture, and purpose. From an early age, he found joy in singing and playing instruments like the piano and guitar, drawing inspiration from legends such as Ebenezer Obey and Orlando Owoh. For Oba, music has never just been a hobby—it's always felt like a calling. He got his start in the church choir, attending rehearsals and vocal training sessions while building his foundation in music. Although his path included a career in nursing and a relocation that took him away from music for a while, the desire to sing never left him. He now sees those life experiences as preparation for the journey he's on today.Oba's shift into gospel music came after a series of powerful spiritual moments, including being approached by strangers who told him he was meant to sing. Those encounters, along with his reflections, helped him realise that using his gift was part of God's plan for him. That realisation led to his debut EP, Triumph of Grace, which marked a turning point in his life and music. Since then, Oba has been writing, recording, and performing songs that blend gospel messages with the rich, soulful rhythms of highlife and Afro-fusion.His upcoming album, Between Me and God, is a deeply personal project inspired by quiet moments of prayer and reflection. Set for release on June 20, 2025 (with presales starting June 11), the album captures the heart of what it means to walk closely with God, even when it's not the easiest path.Oba is also back to learning guitar, pushing himself to grow musically and offer even more excellence in his worship. For him, music isn't just about sound—it's about ministry and encouraging others to follow their God-given purpose.Highlights from Toby Gribben's Friday afternoon show on Shout Radio. “Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.” That's a memorable line from the 2013 tune “Happy,” by Pharrell Williams – a song that reached No. 1 in the charts in over 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada and was the most played song of the 2010s. One truth about happiness: It's among the many positive emotions that people can use to counter stress, which affects thoughts, feelings, behaviors and physical health. Unchecked stress can lead to myriad health problems like hypertension, heart disease, stroke, obesity and diabetes. Sarah Pressman, UC Irvine professor of psychological science, has made examining the health benefits of positive emotions her life's work. In this episode of The UC Irvine Podcast, Pressman explains how researchers analyze the protective properties of positivity, relates their findings and suggests simple steps people can take to improve their own happiness. “High Life,” the music for this episode, was provided by The Mini Vandals, featuring Mamadou Koita and Lasso, via the audio library in YouTube Studio.

Today on The Dwelling Place, we'll again look at the relationship between Old Testament Law, and the Grace of Jesus Christ. This is not to imply that God's law is obsolete, but we must integrate our adherence to the Law, with our understanding that we've been sanctified and set apart through our relationship with Jesus Christ.
