This summer the Coalition of African & African American Pastors, along with the Office of the Governor and Proactivists of Oregon came together to put on an event to serve the community. Soul 2 Soul PDX took place in the Lloyd District of Portland Oregon to serve the community through education, healthcare, food items and scholarships. The event was an opportunity to come together in troubled times and a number of the organizers and leaders took a moment to talk about how impactful we can be when we serve together. Every Tuesday evening in Downtown Portland, the Deadstock Run Club hosts a gathering for people get in a little exercise. "Gettin' To It" for a longer run of 4-5 miles. Gettin' Into It for a 2-3 mile and a newly added walking group.
