We are all familiar with the the 'fear of failure', however, in this episode we Get Into...how scary it sometimes feel to 'succeed' at our goals and to reckon with the reality that we are then required to maintain and sustain whatever new status / achievement we have attained. We explore all these feelings and provide an insight as to the the best way to get through them.
In this episode we Get Into...frictions / disagreements in the work place and how best to approach and handle them. Happy 2024 from us over at Get Into It to you! In this episode, we Get Into...our words, themes and intentions for the year ahead.
As 2023 winds down and the year-end analyses are in full swing, we discuss the importance of taking a step out of the all-too-familiar 'survive each day as it comes' dance that is Adulting, in order to give yourself permission to dream a little...or a lot.
After a...mini hiatus, we're back at it and getting into how to build or potentially knock down one's self confidence/self esteem.
In this episode we Get Into...Comparison. We discuss the importance of honesty and self-awareness when we find ourselves falling down the comparison rabbit hole, and we explore ways to deal / work through those emotions. As always, do share your thoughts!
Back after a little hiatus, in this episode we have a free-flowing catch up conversation and delve into a couple of (mostly) unrelated topics include name changes post-marriage and the plight of procrastination! As always, do get in touch with any thoughts, friends. Love and light xo
Hey GII fam! In this episode I pose and discuss a question to / with you all that I've been mulling over the last couple of months - 'to what extent are you living a life you've chosen?' I get into how much effort and disruption often goes hand in hand with aligning ourselves to live a kind of life we can confidently say we've chosen. There's no step by step guide here, just discussion and genuine encouragement to take the time to evaluate for yourselves and hopefullyyy go forth accordingly! As always, let me know your thoughts :) Love and light xo
In this episode we discuss the importance of true rest that comes from giving ourselves permission to do so. Life is full of all sorts of seasons; this episode serves as a reminder of the fact that you cannot 'go' as your best self, without being truly intentional and committed to your rest time. Give it a listen, let me know your thoughts!
In this episode we discuss marriage and why we bother getting into it in the first place. We also discuss age and explore reasons why people choose to get married younger/older. As always, do reach out and share your thoughts/perspectives - keep the conversation(s) going!
In the first episode of 2022, a couple of weeks into the new year, we discuss the outlook for the year ahead - including views towards new year resolutions and other such goals. Spoiler alert - we have a great feeling about 2022 over on this side! We looking to simplify things and take them one day at a time towards all of our macro goals.
In this episode we discuss the very real, and inevitable prospect of change - particularly those that take place on the inside. Following the initial phase of the pandemic and the entrance into this 'back to normal' phase, it is important to take the time to check in with yourself, and to figure out what's going on in your head/heart right now. I discuss real life examples of this in the hopes that it reminds someone to take a second (or several) to do take stock of the ways you may have changed over the past 18 months.
In this first episode after a mini-hiatus, we get into the transition into a post-lockdown world and its implications on the stillness many of us (unavoidably) cultivated earlier in the pandemic.
In this episode we have an open, honest and vulnerable conversation about mental health and the importance of community and relationships in handling mental health challenges.
In this episode we have an open, honest and transparent conversation about how to deal with questions we may have for God. Is it okay to have questions? Does having questions make you a bad Christian? In summary, yes to the former and absolutely not to the latter. Would be great to know your thoughts / comments / views @getintoit.lo on the ‘gram! Love and light, #GII fam ✨
Happy new year, GII Family! In this episode, we discuss our thoughts about 2021 so far and our feelings towards the year ahead. For many of us, our external circumstances are much the same as they were in 2020 (Covid-19, its related restrictions etc), which is less than ideal, however, we ultimately have two choices - be overwhelmed by it all, or try a little everyday to put one foot in front of the other. I'm choosing the latter over on this side, and I challenge you to do the same! Love and light xo
In this episode, we discus instant messaging as a subset of social media and examine our relationship with texting, phone calls etc. We set out the importance of figuring out how we engage with these practices and establishing boundaries that work for each of us!
In this episode we discuss the heaviness of 2020 and the rabbit hole of emotions and questions that may have come with it. We know that God is good but sometimes the state of the world can have us asking a barrage of 'why's, and that's okay. We explore these thoughts and talk through ways to fix our hearts / minds on the truth of God's love. P.s. The fireworks were for Divali, everyone! I remembered just as I finished recording the episode.
In this episode, we send out a wake-up and refocussing call away from ourselves, towards the goals / mandates God has placed on our hearts. A shaky step forward is always better than a million and one stationary, planning phases.
On the first episode of Get Into It, we're getting to know each other...albeit a one-sided conversation at this stage but we're laying the foundations! We're discussing our intentions, plans and setting the scene for the upcoming journey.
