Huang Gang or die. JK JK. Shoutout to all of my friends - past, present, and future - who shaped me into the woman I am today! This episode is because of you :) Let's talk about the trials and tribulations of adult friendships. There are circumstantial friendships (ones you make in school, when it's situational, etc.) and substantial friendships (ones that last because you both nurture it). Your 20s are where you'll find yourself building or breaking these relationships. Today, I share my experiences with cliques, growing pains, girl fights, and avoidant people. I walk you through multiple scenarios with different people I've encountered in my 20s and what lessons I extracted from those situations. Lastly, I give my two cents on how to keep quality friendships as you get older to make sure everyone is a substantial and not situational friend. DISCLAIMER: This is not an episode made to "spill tea" or trash anyone in my past but rather share what those hardships taught me and how I currently carry myself in adversity with others. *NOTE: Sorry the audio is not super consistent. I'm still trying to understand my new apartment's acoustics and how to adjust so the mic isn't so sensitive to P sounds and background noises like our AC or air purifier.*

Some schools are offering so-called adulting 101 courses, teaching Gen Zers basic skills like cooking, cleaning or changing a tire. Some social scientists call it “delayed adulthood,” the phenomenon of younger people lacking life skills that past generations took for granted.
If you've ever felt like you're constantly messing up — forgetting things, zoning out, missing steps, or just trying to keep your head above water — you're not alone. Maybe you've wondered if you have ADHD… or maybe you're just chronically overwhelmed and tired of feeling like you're failing at “being an adult.” In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Ari Tuckman — psychologist, speaker, and leading expert on adult ADHD — to talk about what it really means to be productive when your brain works differently. We dive deep into how ADHD affects not just your focus, but your self-esteem, your past experiences, and your ability to trust yourself. Ari shares science-backed, shame-free strategies from his new book The ADHD Productivity Manual — and gives us permission to stop striving for perfection and start creating a life that works for us. Whether you've been diagnosed, suspect you might have ADHD, or just want to finally feel a little less behind all the time… this episode is packed with validation, laughter, and practical advice that will leave you feeling seen and supported. ✨ We chat about: How ADHD shows up in adults (and why so many go undiagnosed) Why your messy past doesn't mean you're broken — or doomed The powerful link between clutter, distraction, and overwhelm Medication myths (and why it's just one helpful tool, not a cure-all) Small shifts that make a big difference in productivity and self-worth The importance of compassion — for yourself and others

An estimated 54 million adults in the United States have autism spectrum disorder, and one of the biggest challenges is successfully transitioning into adulthood. "Adulting" can be difficult in the best of circumstances, but when you add to this seeing the world in a completely different way, you need the right tools to navigate it successfully. Ron Sandison, Founder of Spectrum Inclusion and author of "Adulting on the Spectrum," offers his personal experience in navigating this season and seeks to help others on the spectrum to live an independent and flourishing life. Ron talks with Seth and Deb about life on the spectrum, encouraging us to live out the unique gifts God has given to us and not to let stereotypes get in the way. I'm April, your favorite autistic OT and host of Adulting with Autism – the podcast where life skills are sexy, healing is real, and neurodivergent voices finally get the mic. How can young people build up their mental health and cope with societal pressures while adulting? Synopsis: Every first Wednesday of the month, The Straits Times helps you make sense of health matters that affect you. ST senior health correspondent Joyce Teo explores this with two guests in this episode. They are: Ms Lee Yi Ping, the programme lead and principal Case Manager at Chat, Centre of Excellence for Youth Mental Health in Singapore. This service by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) serves as a first-stop touchpoint for young people seeking mental health support. Mr Delane Lim, the founder and executive director of the charity Character & Leadership Academy, which runs youth development, mental wellness, and suicide prevention programmes for young people. They discuss what one can do to manage the challenges that adulting brings, whether it is related to identity, work or relationships. Ms Lee and Mr Lim also share their own experiences. KOFF-N: It's not a choice. It's a podcast.Introducing KOFF-N — a proudly non-FDA-evaluated experience brought to you by the minds behind All The Feelings. Side effects include nostalgia, regret, adult acne, a deep yearning for your high school metabolism, and a compulsive need to ask, “normal blood pressure for my age.”This week, Pete and Tommy unveil ADULTING: a season-long exploration of what happens when you crest the hill of youth… and keep rolling. Think of it as a guided tour through the existential landscaping of middle life — featuring emotional potholes, financial sinkholes, and the occasional oddly comforting cul-de-sac of acceptance.Whether you're Googling, “why does my knee do that” or rethinking every decision you made in your twenties, this season is for you.Welcome to All The Feelings: Season 10 – ADULTING.
In May's energetic forecast, Maia's Take, Maia shares that May feels deep. It's about adulting ( we don't really like this because who wants to adult?- it's hard!) But as Maia explains it's more about adulting in a calm no drama, slightly boring way. And, you feel accomplished. There is also the message that runs through all of May which is fear isn't real and everything is fine. Something becomes clear. Something that has been troubling you or taking your energy. We also learn that something good is wanting to emerge and come into life but you are afraid of it. Maia pulls a Tarot card - Futility aka the Seven of swords. She shares the message that your fears have nothing to do with reality. Wake up and see what's really happening. Then she pulls another card, the Princess of Wands. This card says your old fears have lost their power over you. They're dead remains can not frighten you anymore. Reflect on your greatest strengths. Number 5 - completion, you're done with one piece. Now it's time stop and celebrate that win. And shout out to Jamie the Great whose birthday is May 18! And the rejection comes up. You are going to realize why the rejection is redirection or protection. Plus a bonus - Maia asked for a sign and got a Blue Heron which is our symbol for the month. Hey there, friends!
Send us a textWhat does authentic autism advocacy look like when powered by faith? Ron Sandison offers a compelling answer in this thought-provoking conversation from the International Autism Summit. As a mental health professional speaking to over 30,000 people annually across 70 events worldwide, Ron brings a unique perspective shaped by his extraordinary gift—15,000 scriptures memorized word-perfect—and his journey as one of only two openly autistic licensed ministers in the Assemblies of God's 114-year history.Ron takes us behind the pages of his new book, "Adulting on the Spectrum," revealing the critical connection challenges autistic individuals face. "Most of us are like old, 30-year-old Velcro shoes—we don't connect well," he explains, before outlining his three-part framework for building meaningful relationships through mentoring, marketing, and the ability to delight others. Through powerful stories and accessible metaphors, Ron demonstrates how identifying personal strengths while accommodating limitations can transform an autistic person's relationship with both the world and themselves. The conversation tackles persistent misconceptions head-on, particularly the damaging assertion that autism can be "outgrown." Ron eloquently describes how autism's manifestation evolves from childhood meltdowns to adult "neuro-crashes," emphasizing that sensory challenges persist regardless of outward appearance or public speaking abilities. His vision for truly inclusive faith communities goes beyond token participation, advocating for autistic voices in leadership positions where they can influence institutional change. Most powerfully, Ron introduces his concept of developing a "hope complex" through spiritual connection, offering neurodivergent individuals an antidote to the "hopeless complex" that often accompanies autism's social and employment challenges.
