HAIL FELLOW WELL MET

Mouse gets her mind blown by the creative possibilities of Live Action Role Playing.  She thought it was just teens bopping each other with foam armaments in a park, but guest Kitty Stoholski takes us all to school.  They chat about escaping the stuffiness of some tabletop experiences, physical spaces setting the mood, taking responsibility for other players' fun and emotional states, and the lamentable dearth of "LARP tops" in the world.

Mouse chats with writer and podcaster Whitney Reynolds, who is also a roleplaying buddy in the Strange Trails campaign!  They talk about finding moments for characters to bond, faking it until making it, and fudging details of the people in a character's backstory in the best way, i.e. Maris-ing. 

This episode, Mouse talks with her friend and collaborator in comedy, Brandon Kirkman, about improvising a character that finds their own legs beyond the 30 second sketch they were originally conceived for.  They talk about working collaboratively with other funny people, being in the present as a creative person and channeling very real personal fears and anxieties into the fictional characters one might create.
