(This video is analyzing The Day of the Dead development in Mexico). The Day of the Dead has roots in both Catholic and Aztec background. Since around the 14th century, traditions and rituals were being made for All Souls Days and All Saints Days. The Aztecs had two major months dedicated to the souls of the dead. In this video we will look at these rituals and traditions in both the Spanish Catholic world and the Aztec world. We will learn about their beliefs and artwork (Catholic and Aztec).
