Welcome to Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for September 11, 2025. Today's devotion, “The Lord Dealt with Me According to My Righteousness” (Psalm 18:20–24, ESV), explores David's bold words about righteousness, clean hands, and blamelessness. While David was not without sin, he remained faithful to the Lord's covenant, walking in God's ways even when accused and opposed. His testimony points to God's care for those who strive to live with integrity. Yet these verses ultimately find their fulfillment in Christ, the only truly Righteous One. Jesus kept God's law perfectly, bore our guilt at the cross, and now gives His righteousness to us by grace. Be encouraged—God sees your faithfulness, forgives your failures, and delights in those who are made righteous in Christ. Welcome to Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for September 10, 2025. Today's devotion, “He Drew Me Out of Many Waters” (Psalm 18:16–19, ESV), shows the Lord's personal rescue of His servant. David, overwhelmed by enemies too mighty for him, confesses his weakness and testifies that God alone was his support. The Lord reached down, drew him out of danger, and brought him into a “broad place” of safety, freedom, and peace. This picture points us to Christ, who endured the waters of death, defeated sin and Satan, and was raised in victory. Through His resurrection—and given to us in Holy Baptism—God draws us out of the flood and sets us free. Be encouraged today: the Lord rescues, sustains, and delights in His children. 1 Peter is a letter written to be shared with all Christians in the early years of the church in a time of great persecution. Peter walked with Jesus, learned from Jesus, and launched the movement of the church. This letter helps us find hope in the midst of suffering, inspiration to live distinctly as followers of Jesus, and find purpose when we are pushed on every side to give up or conform. This week, we explore 1 Peter 1:1-12 ESV and the Living Hope that fuels our endurance in suffering. Speaker: Michae Bayne Text: 1 Peter 1:1-12 ESV

Welcome to Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for September 9, 2025. Today's devotion, “He Made Darkness His Covering” (Psalm 18:11–15, ESV), paints a breathtaking picture of God's power and majesty. David describes the Lord wrapped in darkness, thundering from the heavens, flashing lightning like arrows, and laying bare the very foundations of the earth. This is no distant or passive God—He is the Creator and Deliverer who commands storms, scatters enemies, and rescues His people with unstoppable might. For us, this power is revealed most fully in Christ: at the cross, when darkness covered the land and the earth shook, and at the resurrection, when death was defeated forever. Be encouraged—when you pray, you call upon the Lord who moves heaven and earth for your salvation. Biblical Talks  Signs are all around us and they are commands, warnings, directions, or all three. Signs can also be an indicator of the times. In this episode of Biblical Talks SD and Lady V discuss Matthew 24:1-51 English Standard Version. Jesus tells the disciples the signs of the end of the age. Thus, it is important for believers to pay attention to the signs.  With that in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Matthew 24:1-51. If so -- what are your thoughts? If not, no worries, we've got you covered. This is your time to receive the Gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus.  Now, you may be wondering, "Why do I need that?" Oh, I'm so glad you asked. The Bible says, that because  Adam ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil -- he released sin into the world.  And ultimately, Adam's sin brought death and death spread to everyone.  No doubt, you may be thinking, "Of course, everyone is going to die." But, my question to you is "Where will you spend eternity?" Because there is life after death. In fact, when you die you go to one of two places -- heaven or hell.  Also, it is important to understand that Adam's sin also brought an eternity in hell. But for those who choose not to receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, you must make that choice before you take your last breath.  Romans 5:17 New Living Translation says,  “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”  To sum it all up, Romans 6:23 New Living Translation says,  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”  So, if you are reading this, don't let another day go by without receiving this life-changing gift.  Scripture   Romans 10:8-10 New Living Translation says,  “8 …“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:  9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”  Salvation Prayer  Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I want to follow You, Jesus. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith, I ask You to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your gift of grace and for eternity with You.  Listen to We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast  Use the web player above this blog post to listen or subscribe and listen via your favorite podcast platform.   Bible Study Resources  Holy Bible [NLT, NIV, ESV, NASB, NKJV, KJV]  Bible App by YouVersion  NLT Chronological Life Application Study Bible  Read the Bible Online – Bible Gateway  Read the Bible and Commentaries Online – Bible Hub  Read Living by the Book: The Art and Science of Reading the Bible by Howard G. In Psalm 34:18, we’re reminded that “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” But in seasons of heartbreak, unanswered prayers, or overwhelming busyness, God can sometimes feel distant. Cindi McMenamin shares how we can quiet the noise, draw near to God, and experience His presence as close and real as the air we breathe. ✨ Highlights Why God sometimes feels distant and how to reconnect with Him Four practical ways to experience God’s presence: Take a Divine Pause — slow down, breathe deeply, and be still (Psalm 46:10) Whisper His Name — use simple “breath prayers” like “Jesus, I need You” (Acts 4:12) Read His Word Aloud — Scripture is “living and active” and draws us closer (Hebrews 4:12) Start Praising Him — worship shifts our focus from ourselves to God’s goodness The promise of Jeremiah 29:13: when we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him
