Also within the forest, Zurab has met with Sosruko in secret, both come into agreement that Dago, leader of those of the Dark Forest, must be removed.

Within Hoshruba, King Batraz mourns the approaching death of his wife, Queen Gulisa. Luka awakes from a dream where he envisioned Hoshruba's destruction. He realizes an ancient prophecy might indeed be true so sends one of his acolytes, Dak, on a quest to discover the complete text and, hopefully, a means to fight this potential apocalypse.

The king's advisors discover old enemies are unexpectedly resourceful, a young human, Cas, assumes importance to the defense of Hoshruba, and the Royal Family is under personal and professional pressure to solve the continuing mystery of the attack. Susroku plays a double game.
(USE OF A HEADSET FOR BINAURAL AUDIO EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Cas, still in a daze, recalls the capture of him and his family by the Arab bandits while, through flashback, we see Luka reading his memories after seeing a glimmer of something “special” within this particular human; however, he is unable to discover its source. Back at the Dark Forest, Kopala is tortured by the Forgotten Ones in their attempt to discover his reasons for his intrusion.

The magic land of Rub Al Khali is also attacked, but the Queen, Adarah, only thinks of revenge on Hoshruba. A young magician, Dak, discovers an ancient scroll that may indicate how to defend Hoshruba.

Kopala has been captured by the Forgotten Ones of the Dark Forest, learning they are in fact intelligent with limited magical ability.
