Today on the show, Hunter spoke with three Public Defenders from the state of Delaware to discuss their law enforcement bill of rights. 3 Hidden Toxins in Your Everyday Life Due to the recent toxic spill in Ohio, it's raised concerns for a lot of people about the presence of dangerous chemicals in our environment. Toxins can be found in our food, water, and even the air we breathe causing damage to our health. MaxLiving and the 5 Essentials prioritize minimizing the amount of toxins present, whether through detoxification or by adopting new lifestyle habits to mitigate chemical exposure. In this episode of The MaxLiving Podcast, Dr. Ryan & Ashley Berlin discuss the issue of toxicity and how to avoid it. In order to live a healthy, toxin-free life, you have to become aware of what toxins you're encountering on an everyday basis. The Berlin's explain the three main culprits of toxicity including pharmaceuticals, processed foods, and chemicals that enter through the skin such as makeup, sunscreen, personal care products, etc. While reducing exposure to these items is a great start, there are other detoxification strategies you can take to further help your body heal and function optimally. One way is to get regular chiropractic adjustments to remove interference in the spine and nervous system. Additionally, you could take supplementation such as MaxLiving Detox System or Max Cleanse to flush out toxins. During the month of April, our MaxLiving offices across the country will be hosting their own Terminate Toxins event where you can learn more about how you can steer clear of toxins on a daily basis. This weeks episode features Suzanne Wynn, Kiki McDaniel, and Dr. Joel Snider and focuses on John 9:1-11Meditation: "The hidden promise of healing in Jesus and the blind man in John 9:1-11 was not only renewed physical sight but also new spiritual insight. The blind man was able to see the beauty of God's world for the very first time. The community was finally able to see the healed man as a fellow image bearer of God instead of a social liability. Many were able to see Jesus as God's only Son. Through the stories of healing that you receive today, may you also see yourself, your neighbor, and your savior in new and different ways.

Manasa isn't sure how she feels about this one. It's because of the rapping. We realize that our earlier prediction of ToA being Glee was right. We'd like to arrest Rick for writing these haikus. Apollo raps again. There are too many ants and too many mommies in this book. This means you get more ANT FACTS!!! We hope one of you is an ant expert. If you're an ant expert we'll invite you onto the podcast. Camp is under attack by a giant statue. Manasa considers murdering an arrow. Apollo is sort of useless in battle. Luckily, we have Percy to save the day. And Will and Nico to save these chapters! ————————————————————— SUPPORT US ON PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/camphalfpod?fan_landing=true SEND US AN AUDIO MESSAGE: https://www.speakpipe.com/Camphalfpod --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/camp-half-pod/support

We all have moments we wish we could undo, and feelings of shame can make us want to hide. Maybe you even think that God wants nothing to do with you—you're just not deserving. But there's no need to hide from the One who knows everything about you and loves you anyway.
In this two parter episode, Daniel as a long time educator will be reacting to our findings from me and Nicole's research project on the status of college and high school Asian American women. Daniel has not seen our finished brochure that we prepared for our graduate class on career counseling. Today we present to him and he can expand or be surprised by our information. Today On the Dogwatch we cross the Atlantic and head to the Highlands of Scotland in search of the nature of tartan, one of the most long standing and iconic outdoor patterns. Along the way, we meet Miles Kerr-Peterson, a PhD historian who has not only a vast knowledge of British history, clans, castles, but also tartan. We start our conversation with Miles by learning about his research into a buried castle under the driveway at the Keith Marsal estate in Scotland, and broaden this conversation to understand some of the history of Scotland and clans. From there, Miles helps us understand how tartan developed as a fabric, and how the patterns have changed over time. Thankfully, Miles not only understands the history of these fabrics, but works the the St. Kilda company, which has an online tartan designer, and he walks us through how tartans are designed and even helps us how we can design, register, and produce our own tartan fabric. What could be better than a conversation that touches on the Jacobite rebellion, Dunnottar Castle, the Outlander TV series, the movie Hot Fuzz, whiskey from the island of Islay, as well as consideration of plenty of Gordons, MacQueens, MacPhersons, Campbells, Camerons, and Craigs?
So often we think we're doing the “noble thing” by keeping our pain and brokenness hidden; Matt Bostic knows all too well that this isn't the case. In this podcast, Bostic tells the story of how he bounced from ministry to ministry in the wake of his mother's death, eventually developing a drinking problem that took him to some of the lowest depths of his life. In the process of recovery, he learned that he didn't have to take on all his problems and responsibilities alone—trusting other people, and God, helped him find the direction and purpose he was desperately seeking. Today, as the program director for Life House University, a ministry helping those who have recently got out of jail or rehab get a fresh start, Bostic says he's found that not going alone is the best way to help yourself—as well as others in need. Filmmaker David Millbern's award winning and Emmy-nominated documentary TV Special called 100 Years of Men in Love: The Accidental Collection tells 100 love stories that were almost lost forever to history. Based on a collection of vintage photos found at antique stores and flea markets, dating from 1850 into the 1950s and curated by Hugh Nini and Neal Treadwell in their book, Loving: A Photographic History of Men in Love, this moving and masterful documentary shines a light on the joy, romance and tenderness shared between male couples, in a time when their love was forbidden. David joins us to talk about how the collection, and the film, came together, the possible origins of the photos and stories of their subjects, what they tell us about the century and the particular generations they represent, how audiences have been receiving the film and what he most hopes the viewer will take away from watching it. Three years ago, on March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. The virus had spread across the globe, and the WHO announcement triggered unprecedented measures – governments ordered people to quarantine, borders were closed and mandatory masking became commonplace. Today, science reporter Ari Daniel tells us about a new series from NPR: "Hidden Viruses: How Pandemics Really Begin." From bats in Bangladesh to dogs in Malaysia, NPR's Global Health and Development team traveled far and wide to learn how scientists are studying spillovers – when a disease crosses from animals to humans – and what makes some viruses more deadly than others.
