David returns from his Disney cruise adventure with tales of culinary horror, with buffet patrons piling plates sky-high while elbowing children out of the way for ice cream. Meanwhile, the duo dissects Bill Belichick's embarrassing late-life crisis with his much-younger girlfriend (whose father is 30 years Belichick's junior), leading to their urgent PSA: “Do not be Bill Belichick." They also examine President Trump's diplomatic jaunt to Qatar, complete with sword fights, Arabian horses, and the questionable $400 million "Palace in the Sky" aircraft gifted by the Qatari government. Between Bahamian photo shoot adventures and betting odds that Jesus will return before Grand Theft Auto VI releases, David and Brad expose America's consumption addiction - whether it's food, luxury, or foreign gifts that may cross ethical lines.

President Trump's Art of the Deal is brilliant, but are Radical Islamist-sympathizers on the same page? Today, TheTerrorist Therapist® Carole Lieberman, M.D., poses the question: can Trump's clever logic overcome the illogical religious zeal that drives terrorists to rape and murder? It's the nagging question underlying his recent trip to the Middle East.President Trump visited Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. He met with their leaders, as well as the leader of Syria. He was given a royal welcome - with horses, camels, hair flip dancers, and dined on delicacies in fine palaces. He made billions of dollars worth of trade agreements benefitting America. But, each of these countries and leaders have a ‘mixed bag' ofpositive and negative relations with the U.S. For example, Trump made lucrative deals with Saudi Arabia and even arranged for an Arabian leopard to be exhibited at an American zoo, while victims of 9/11 are still pursuing a lawsuit against the Saudis for their role in this attack. Trump made similar gains in Qatar. As an ally, they continue to host our troops at the Al Udeid Air base; but, as an enemy, they also host the leaders of Hamas. The United Arab Emirates has a more positive history, in that it signed the Abraham Accords, which Trump has continued to try to convince these other leaders to sign. You will hear about the risks and benefits at each of the stops on his itinerary. The Prophet Muhammad said, “War is deceit.” So, can we trust these countries? Is Qatar's gift of a flying palace for Air Force 1 a Trojan horse and a risk to Trump's life? I hope not. These are risky times, but Trump is nonetheless working hard to fulfill his promises to bring about world peace.
This week the SUNDAY WIRE broadcasts globally on Alternate Current Radio, with host Patrick Henningsen covering the top stories from America, Europe, Middle East – Donald Trump recent Arabian odyssey and his ‘normalization' of relations with al-Qaeda in Syria – as you will see, when it comes to Syria's terrorist leader al-Sharaa/al-Jolani, the fangirling just never ends. Also, Israel has used Trump planned distraction in the Gulf in order to accelerate its brutal genocide in Gaza, slaughtering more innocent Palestinians this week, and not a word from any Democrat or Republican in Washington – all cowering to the Israel Lobby. Later in Overdrive, we're also be joined by co-hosts Bryan ‘Hesher' McClain and Adam ‘Ruckus' Clark to breakdown this story, plus all the rest happening in the world this week. All this and more… Watch this episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5K2FqgkCq4 This month's featured music artists: Joseph Arthur, Peter Conway, Peyoti for President & Red Rumble. On the first major foreign trip of his second term, President Trump met with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. His arrival was greeted with fanfare across the region — there were motorcades featuring Teslas, long processions of Arabian horses and camels, and traditional dance and musical performances. According to the White House, Saudi Arabia agreed to invest $600 billion in the United States. Qatar placed a huge order for Boeing Passenger jets. But the biggest announcement of Trump's trip was a bit of surprise deal-making: after more than 20 years, Trump said, the U.S. will lift sanctions on Syria. President Trump and interim Syrian President al-Sharaa met for tea and also discussed the possibility that Syria could recognize Israel as a sovereign state. NPR's Scott Detrow and Hadeel Al-Shalchi examine how this news was received in Israel, whether this moment be a critical turning point for Middle East peace and ask, can Trump actually deliver on these promises? Trump's recent grand tour of the richest petro-states of the Middle East saw him feted as an emperor, make "trillion$ for America" in "yuge deals," and meet the "young, attractive," head-choppy leaders of the Arabian peninsula and "the new, free Syria." Speaking about the "dawn of a bright new day" for the region, the farce of Trump staging what amounted to a MAGA rally in the ostensibly ultra-conservative Saudi kingdom - complete with the YMCA soundtrack - was completed by Israelis...
In this powerhouse edition of The RattlerGator Report, J.B. White returns from South Carolina with fire in his voice and a deep reflection on the historic week that just unfolded. He zeroes in on President Trump's royal reception in Saudi Arabia, calling it a “coronation” that solidified Trump not just as a national leader, but as the global symbol of power. With sabers raised and golden carpets rolled out, the Arabian world declared what few dare say out loud: Trump is the true President of the world. J.B. weaves history, culture, and personal conviction into a sweeping analysis of Trump's speech in Riyadh, comparing it to his iconic 2017 Warsaw address. He explains how Trump's approach, grounded in “commerce, not chaos,” “peace through strength,” and “regions of responsibility and cooperation”, signals a seismic shift away from neocon globalism toward mutual respect and sovereignty. From reflections on Anwar Sadat and Prince Bandar to thoughts on China's internal struggle and RFK Jr.'s rising influence, this episode covers it all. Bold, soulful, and unapologetically pro-America, J.B. reminds us that we're witnessing the rebirth of U.S. leadership, and that Trump isn't just playing politics. He's rewriting the global script.
And welcome to the program on your Friday afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Getting ready for the weekend. Man, I'd tell you what. Oh, boy. I got a big weekend planned. Yeah. Tomorrow, I'm, I don't like to brag, but, I'm going to the dump. I know. I but, hey. I know. I get it. A lot of people wish they could go to the dump, but I'm doing it. Take some yard waste to the dump, to first thing tomorrow morning. Yeah. Lots of yard work getting because, I mean, it is we've had such a wet spring so far. What what did they say? April showers bring May flowers? Looks like April showers bring May showers. That's what we've got right now. So, time to catch up on a little yard work this weekend, get everything looking good around the house. Maybe watch a little bit of the PGA championship on the T. We. But, looking forward to the weekend, absolutely. By the way, speaking of television, did you see the way that Donald Trump arrived in Qatar? Did you see that? Holy if there I have never seen anything more majestic than Air Force One flying into Qatar surrounded by United States military fighter jets in formation. It was so unbelievably impressive. Oh my goodness. I I just I I I I bet I watched that that it was a very short clip. I bet I bet I watched it 20 times. It was just that impressive. I mean, absolutely amazing. Now remember, these are the same people that were going, Charlie, Trump is gonna embarrass us all throughout the world. It's, nobody's gonna respect us. Hello? Respect? Did you see the way he was he was greeted and Saudi? Did you see him being escorted by those Arabian stallions? Did you see the oh, man. It was fantastic. This guy has got more respect now on the world stage than Joe Biden ever had, ever. He didn't even come close, not even a little bitty bit. So, I mean, pretty darn cool. It really, really was. But that's but not the oh, oh, no. Trump's not gonna be well, oh, oh, Trump. And even also Hillary Clinton. This is kinda funny. Hillary Clinton made some comment the other day about that, the jet from Qatar. Basically, the replacement jet for Air Force One from Qatar, the flying palace, the palace with wings. And she was like, well, you know, if if you get you know, if you receive this kind of a gift from a foreign nation, I'm pretty sure there's some quid pro quo going on. And then people started pointing out the guess who took a whole bunch of money from Qatar. Did anybody guess? The Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation took a whole bunch of money from Qatar. Not only that, the Clinton Foundation took a whole bunch of money from countries all over the planet, including Russia. How much did Hillary Clinton get to speak in Moscow? It was a lot of money. It was a great deal of money. So a lot of people pointed back. Sometimes, some my my grandfather always used to tell me. He said, boy, never miss a good opportunity to shut up. And Hillary Clinton missed that opportunity. So there you go. It's got a Bruce in Simpsonville and talked to him. Bruce, welcome to the program. How are you doing, my friend? I'm doing alright. Yeah. Which dump you planning on going to? You know the one by the Mesa Soccer Fields? Yes. Okay. That's gonna be. Yeah. It's okay, if that's close to you. I'm it used to be close to me when I lived on 14, but I'm not off Fairview. Okay. So I go to Hips Road. So but I tore down my deck, and I went to Hips. And he measured it. He said I had five yards. You you're only allowed to do three yards a day. Yeah. Right. So I said, oh, okay. So I'll just unload half, and I'll bring the other half to the box. No. I didn't do it like that. So you need to go down to Twin Chimneys. Oh. The next day I go down next day I go down to Twin Chimneys, and it cost me $20 for me to dump my bag boards. Yeah. I I just when they start charging it was last year they enacted something, but, you know, if you got a certain amount or whatever, they're gonna charge you. So Yeah. They they you're right about ...
Lavender carpets. Golden swords. Arabian horses. President Trump arrived in the Gulf to a royal welcome. Both sides seem delighted about what they're getting out of one another. So what are they getting? And what will it mean for the future of the Middle East? We talk to Hussein Ibish, a senior resident scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute, about this new era of chumminess between the American president and the Gulf leaders. What does it mean that President Trump has not brought up any of Saudi Arabia's human rights violations? Is that luxury jet Qatar gifted him just norm breaking or illegal? And how might this friendship influence Trump in his dealings with Israel as its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, threatens to escalate attacks on Gaza?. -- Get more from your favorite Atlantic voices when you subscribe. Welcome back to Brief Encounters, the podcast where we sift through the ashes of the past … to find the sparks that just don't fit. I'm your host, Nik. And tonight, we're crossing scorching sands back to the Arabian Peninsula, in the year 1487. A time of caliphates and caravans, of mystics and merchants. But deep in the silence of the desert, something appeared. Not travelers. Not stars. Not sandstorms. But men—fiery men—falling from the sky. That's right. In a strange and little-known report from 1487, travelers told tales of burning figures descending from the sky. Figures that glowed, pulsed with heat, and radiated terror. So, were these apparitions just hallucinations in the haze of heat? Or is this another case of humanity witnessing something … not from here?A side project of Nik Hunter, host of the UFO Chronicles PodcastIt is a trial run of ten twice-weekly bite size episodes, if enjoyed by the listener, Nik will continue releasing episodes.Brief Encounters is a tightly produced, narrative podcast that dives headfirst into the world of UFO sightings, the paranormal, cryptids, myths, and unexplained legends. From ancient sky wars to modern close encounters, each episode takes listeners on a journey through some of the most mysterious and compelling cases in human history. Whether it's a well-documented military sighting or an eerie village legend whispered across generations, Brief Encounters delivers each story with atmosphere, depth, and cinematic storytelling. Episodes are short and binge-worthy — perfect for curious minds on the go. In just 5 to 10 minutes, listeners are pulled into carefully researched accounts that blend historical context, eyewitness testimony, and chilling details. The series moves between eras and continents, uncovering not only the famous cases you've heard of, but also the forgotten incidents that deserve a closer look. Each story is treated with respect, skepticism, and wonder — offering both seasoned enthusiasts and casual listeners something fresh to consider. Whether it's a 15th-century sky battle over Europe, a cryptid sighting in a remote forest, or a modern-day abduction report from rural America, Brief Encounters is your guide through the shadows of our world — and the stories that refuse to be explained.UFO Chronicles Podcast can be found on all podcast players and on the website: https://ufochroniclespodcast.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/ufo-chronicles-podcast--3395068/support.

A magical tale from the Middle East about courage, mystery, and an unexpected treasure. What happens when a brave young man enters a haunted house? Listen to find out!
Artwork from Key of Dreams When you're working on a project with other people, a comic collaboration for example, it's usually best to decide on different roles for everyone according to what they're best at (writer, artist, layout design, pencils, inks, colour, backgrounds lettering etc), and let them handle it. You don't micromanage and make decisions for them. Basically they're the “experts” on those things now so you wait and see what they do. The idea for this Quackcast came to me after someone defended the super clunky Star Wars prequels with the old argument that George Lucas created them and he also created the original Star Wars so he must know best and certainly better than any “haters”. In reality though the prequels are an excellent example of why you MUST defer to people who know better. The original trilogy of Star Wars movies were created at a time when George was still a small fish in a big pond, he wasn't powerful or rich enough to have much control in the industry at that stage. He came up with great ideas (Star Wars, Indiana Jones etc), but had to rely on the studio system to get them made, which meant he had to collaborate with people who's job it was to make great movies: directors, script editors, Foley artists, casting directors, concept designers, model makers etc. As well as studio execs and producers. He had to compromise on what was feasible. But after the massive success of the movies, making a mint off of the sale of IP and merchandising, and his SFX studio Industrial Light and Magic being the industry standard, many years later when Luca worked on the prequels he had unrivalled power. He didn't have to defer to anyone anymore, he didn't have to collaborate or make compromises. He was the last word and he knew best… Except he didn't. In the years since he made those initial movies he hadn't directed much or written many scripts and the Prequels show that all too well with bad dialogue, clunky direction, bad plot choices etc. He even got rid of his expert model makers and all the work they did and used CGI instead because it gave him more control. TL,DR: The original Star Wars were good because they were made as collaborative projects by very experienced people while the prequels were mainly controlled by a guy who lacked a lot of expertise and it shows. The Dunning Kruger effect makes us think we're experts in things we only know a little about, ALL of us suffer from it constantly, even me, but when you've had some success in a field: that gives you confirmation bias that “proves” you really ARE an expert. This was Lucas's position during the prequels. I've worked in 2 collabs recently, Bottomless Waitress with Banes and Key of Dreams with Tantz and Banes. On both those projects we all have distinct roles and we stuck with them very easily! We worked within them and didn't ever bump into each other or try and take over anyone's role and so these are good examples of smooth collaborations which produce results people like. Bands are great examples of collaborative projects, especially when they're working with people who all get the chance to shine and handle their own roles. This is why I love Led zeppelin so much: back in the day Jimmy Page was the band leader and lead guitarist but he let each member handle what they were best at in their own way so it worked as a group of collaborative experts and you can really hear that in the sound! I ramble because I'm tired and I have a headache but I think this is an interesting point: You can't be an expert at everything so when you work with others let them handle what they do best and you do what you do best. There are many examples of great collaborative projects where many people working on them are great at what they do and come together to produce something magical. Some of my faves are Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds (rock opera), Led Zeppelin, The Life of Brian, The Empire Strikes Back and more… What are yours? This week it's another best off from Gunwallace! The Jacket Comic - Wiry, punk, gritty, shiny and cool, this one jangles in on lyrical chords, sounding indie-rock with an almost Arabian flavour at times as the strings howl and echo up and down the scales. What does Miriana Contes 'Serving' have in common with songs by Kesha, the Ying Yang Twins and 17th century Algerian folk music? In this episode of "What Really Happened At Eurovision?" William and Freddy dissect the Arabian riff — a motif that plays in one of Eurovision 2025's most talked about songs. Professor Joe Bennett from the Berklee College of Music explains how Arab influences make "Serving" such a special song and why, no matter how hard you try, you Kant just censor certain elements of it. He also discusses the foundations of creativity and how the notion of "exoticism" frequently shows up in music.

It's race week four of the 2025 Formula 1 season already and after three rounds it looks like it is already shaping up to be a Max Verstappen vs McLaren for the Drivers championship. Rhydon and Rachael break down last week's results and get their bold predictions on the board for the coming weekend and enjoy some great HVAC banter along the way. A dominant controlling performance by Max at Suzuka in the Lenovo Japanese Grand Prix see's the four time World Champion only a single point adrift from this season's favored champion to win it all, Lando Norris. However, there is proving to be no lack of fight or desire in Verstappen to push for his fifth in a row, and that is just the way we like it. Now it is time to head back to Bahrain. The home of pre-season testing this year, Bahrain had been the first race on the calendar for the last number of years but now it will be interesting to see who returns to the Arabian track with the best set up after several races to adjust their set ups. Red Bull are hoping to see Yuki Tsunoda find his performance quick as McLaren and Mercedes are already looking to take a commanding lead in the top two places of the Constructors Championship. Meanwhile Lando and Oscar Piastri will be heavily favored to come out on top at this high speed track and will hope they can return to the top of the podium and keep a determined Max at bay. Mercedes will be looking to sneak onto the podium, while Ferrari will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing start to the campaign. Enjoy the show and here is to another great Grand Prix! A steep change in the slope of a riverbed can create rapids—regions where the water is especially fast and choppy—and dangerous. The same thing applies to rivers in the sky. Steep changes in altitude, temperature, or pressure can concentrate the water, creating rapids. They can cause downpours that are especially fast and heavy—and dangerous. That appears to be the case for recent springtime flooding in the Middle East.Atmospheric rivers form when water evaporates from the ocean. As it rises, it's caught in a jet stream, forming a tight, high-speed river. The average one delivers as much water per minute as the mouth of the Mississippi River. When an atmospheric river crosses land, it can produce rain and snow. That can be helpful. But it also can be deadly, producing flooding, mudslides, and other dangers.A recent study blamed deadly flooding in the Middle East in April 2023 on such a river, but one with rapids—waves with much higher concentrations of water. They dumped as much rain as some regions see in an entire year. Similar flooding in 2024 also might have been caused by rapids. The rapids were powered by evaporation from the Atlantic Ocean and the Arabian and Mediterranean seas. Our warming climate is increasing the rate of evaporation. It's also changing circulation patterns over the Atlantic. So the deserts of the Middle East could see more flooding in the years ahead—perhaps powered by rivers and rapids high in the sky.

Smart Agency Masterclass with Jason Swenk: Podcast for Digital Marketing Agencies
Would you like access to our advanced agency training for FREE? https://www.agencymastery360.com/training Does your emotional attachment to your agency makes it difficult to make growth decisions? When you remove emotion from the mix and make decisions objectively, your realize more growth. After 21 years of running his business, today's guest realized he needed emotional distance and accomplished this by creating an alter ego who could assess the agency from an impartial point of view. This experiment proved remarkably successful. He's come to realize his true role in the agency and that much of it means working for his team, rather than the other way around. George Arabian is the CEO and founder of NVISION, a full-service digital marketing agency based in Toronto, Canada. He shares his journey into the world of digital marketing, how he managed to stop making decisions based on emotion, and how his transition to agency CEO has meant a bigger focus on how to help his team be the best they can be. In this episode, we'll discuss: Experimenting with innovation to stay ahead. Niching down does not mean limiting your agency. Becoming a true leader by working for your team. Experimenting with Innovation to Stay Ahead George's passion for technology began at a young age when he started building computers. At just seventeen, he received what he humorously recalls as a request to "build an internet"—actually a website—for a local hockey shop owner. He quickly Immersed himself in learning html and put 500 hours into that first web project that paid him $400. One job led to another, eventually George started his own agency and has been running it since 2004. The digital landscape has transformed dramatically since George built his first website. Today, AI has helped make website creation faster than even before. However, what has remained constant throughout his journey has been his spirit of experimentation. For him, being in the digital marketing space is like being a "mad scientist." So he encourages his team to test new ideas and approaches in order to uncover novel solutions that set them apart from competitors. This experimental philosophy naturally led George's agency to expand beyond websites to integrate various marketing strategies—including SEO, advertising, and content marketing—into their service offerings. Why Niching Down Doesn't Mean Limiting Your Agency As he starts trying new services to expand his offering, George has found it very hard to narrow down that offer. On one hand, he feels genuinely and equally curious about SEO, CRM, email marketing, etc. On the other, he fears niching down will inevitably lead to boredom. Rather than forcing himself into a traditional service-based niche, George developed an innovative solution. He decided to center his agency around a conceptual focus: "creating human connection." This strategic pivot allows his team to maintain a clear, unifying purpose while still accommodating diverse projects and creative challenges that keep their work engaging. This approach is proof that niching down doesn't have to mean limiting yourself. It can enhance an agency's ability to experiment effectively. With a clear focus, an agency can explore an array of strategies and tactics within their niche, fostering a culture of innovation without sacrificing excitement or variety. The result is a business that remains creatively stimulating while still offering clients a clear understanding of the agency's unique value. How Emotional Distance Helps Make the Shift to Agency CEO As agencies grow, the challenges become more complex. Owners soon need to make a shift in focus from day-to-day operations to strategic leadership. Making the transition to Agency CEO was quite challenging for George, as he tried to detach himself from operations after twenty-one years of running the agency. It's a pretty common challenge for agency owners. For George, this deep emotional connection to the agency often led to rushed decisions as he stressed over the well-being of his team members. To create the necessary emotional distance, George developed a second more objective persona. One day, he arrived at work embodying this detached perspective, pretending it was his first day at an unfamiliar agency. Through this lens, he observed operations critically, documented his findings, and identified previously overlooked gaps and inefficiencies. With this approach, he was able to re-conceptualize the agency as an independent entity that required optimal functionality rather than as an extension of himself. The results soon started to show as he built an entity where the team no longer turned to him for every decision. Although he admits not being needed was harder than he'd anticipated, he recognizes that this step not only enhanced operational efficiency but also fosters a culture of trust and collaboration. Why Being a True Leader Means Working For Your Team Beyond emotional detachment, transitioning to the agency CEO role requires embracing delegation as a fundamental component of both operational efficiency and team empowerment. This shift fundamentally inverts the traditional hierarchy—you'll find yourself working for your team rather than the other way around. Your primary focus becomes supporting their growth and development, removing obstacles, and creating pathways for their success. The sooner you implement this mindset shift, the sooner you'll cultivate leaders within your agency who can shoulder responsibilities that once fell solely on you. This allows you to step back and concentrate on strategic agency growth. This evolution doesn't happen overnight but develops gradually as you enhance your leadership capabilities through continuous learning, reading, and engaging with a community of like-minded agency owners. The more you participate in this process, the more you'll develop your ability to articulate and communicate effectively. How to Clearly Define Your Role in the Agency George clarified his role as agency CEO through a classic mastermind exercise—listing both his most and least enjoyable tasks to identify what he should delegate. This straightforward but powerful assessment helps reveal an owner's true passions. In his, case, it was mentoring team members, creating content, and supporting the team in landing major clients. Clearly defining these roles helped George focus on moving the agency forward and provided the necessary boundaries recognize when to intervene and when responsibilities belonged to others. While George acknowledges he's still not quite where he'd like to be, that clarity has brought him more freedom. He also embraces the fact that this doesn't mean all his problems are solved now. However, the perpetual problem-solving cycle isn't a flaw but rather the essence of agency work—an environment where strong problem solvers naturally thrive and find fulfillment. This inspiring collection of memories, stories, and tributes from colleagues in the entertainment industry, childhood and lifelong friends, Arabian horse enthusiasts, and fans is a homage to a man who not only was an immensely talented performer, but who also was a hero. Patrick has left a legacy of many works, including movies, television shows, Broadway shows, dance performances, and songs. Most important is that he lived a life in which he demonstrated courage in the face of adversity—time and time again— and showcased traditional values and beliefs such as loyalty, morality, and integrity. He was an advocate for dance and the performing arts, conservation, cancer diagnostic/treatment advances, and Arabian horses. He battled pancreatic cancer with his “never give up” determination, courage, and grace that has touched countless lives.
A rare cosmic alignment between Washington and Moscow means a peace settlement in Ukraine is within reach, but there's a catch: Russia is winning on the battlefield so it wants a real peace deal, not another tricky 'ceasefire'. While saying he wants to "stop all the killing in Ukraine," Trump apparently has no problem using military force to bring Yemen's Houthis to heel. Multiple other Western (and Arabian) leaders have tried bombing them into submission before. What makes Trump think it...

Beyond SEO: The Seven Stages of Marketing Success How Perception Shapes Marketing (More Than Facts Do) Episode 244 (George is based in the Toronto area) In this conversation we explore: The concept of holistic digital marketing and how it differs from traditional marketing approaches. The seven stages of the customer journey and why businesses should focus beyond conversion. The role of client advocacy and how turning customers into brand ambassadors reduces acquisition costs. Why marketing is both an art and a science and how to balance creativity with data-driven decisions. Common mistakes businesses make in marketing and how to align strategies with business goals. How AI is changing digital marketing and why human creativity still matters. The importance of emotional triggers in marketing and how psychology influences buying decisions. The power of perception in marketing and why it can be more influential than facts. The pitfalls of generic outreach and how personalized messaging improves response rates. How to design a marketing strategy that starts with outcomes rather than tactics. About our guest, George Arabian: George has over 25 years experience in marketing starting with his first website in 1996 when the Internet was in it's infancy. George is the founder and CEO of NVISION, one of Canada's top digital marketing agencies. NVISION is known for combining consulting and executive while focusing on lead generation and brand awareness for mid-market B2B clients in manufacturing, professional services and technology. Learn more about NVISION here https://nvision.co/ Follow George Arabian on Linkedin here https://www.linkedin.com/in/georgearabian/ ----- Key Learning Points Holistic Digital Marketing Defined Goes beyond omnichannel strategies to focus on the full customer journey. Involves digital touchpoints that engage prospects from awareness to advocacy. The Seven Stages of the Customer Journey Awareness → Consideration → Conversion → Engagement → Adoption → Retention → Advocacy. Many businesses stop at conversion, missing out on advocacy benefits. The Power of Client Advocacy The best customers are those who promote you. Encouraging referrals and testimonials lowers acquisition costs. Marketing is Both Art and Science Science: Understanding algorithms, analytics, and user behavior. Art: Crafting compelling messages, visuals, and emotional appeals. Why Most Businesses Don't Know If Their Marketing Works Many invest in tactics without tracking real business outcomes. Successful marketing must align with company goals, not just vanity metrics. AI's Role in Digital Marketing AI is a tool, not a replacement for authentic messaging. It can enhance efficiency but lacks human creativity and emotional depth. Emotional Triggers Drive Marketing Success People buy based on emotions, not logic. Using words and imagery that resonate with customers increases engagement. Personalization and Perception Matter More Than Facts The way customers feel about a brand determines loyalty more than product specs. Example: Converse sending personalized birthday discounts builds advocacy. The Pitfalls of Generic Outreach Cold, AI-generated LinkedIn messages and impersonal pitches fail. Authenticity and research in outreach make a difference. Marketing Should Start with Outcomes, Not Tactics Instead of asking, “Do I need SEO?” businesses should ask, “What is my goal?” Clear objectives help marketing agencies design effective strategies. ----- ----more---- Your Intended Message is the podcast about how you can boost your career and business success by honing your communication skills. Boom.Diwan is an ensemble based around the Kuwaiti percussionists who preserve the vanishing art of pearl diving music. How they came together with Arturo O'Farrill, leader of New York's Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra is a story for the ages. This podcast tells that story and samples the astounding music that resulted. IN THE EARLY 1980s, on Stark Street in Southeast Portland, there was an aging Hudson Oil Co. gas station that never seemed to get much business. It had an appearance reminiscent of a Kmart store three years ago, like a neglected outpost of a once-huge nationwide business that was slowly fading away — which was in fact the case. Hudson Oil Co., at its peak in the 1950s and 1960s, had about 300 gas stations in 36 states, plus an oil refinery. It was owned and managed by an oil tycoon named Mary Hudson, a remarkable woman who founded the business in 1933 when she was just 21 years old. She launched it by borrowing $200 from her father and using it to open a gas station in Kansas City. At her peak, Hudson was one of only three women on the Forbes 400 list of the richest people in the U.S. At her downfall in 1982, she was convicted of felony theft for tweaking her company's gas pumps to short-change customers, a desperate move made to try to stave off bankruptcy after her company got caught unprepared for a sudden glut on the crude-oil market. But probably the most interesting thing about the Stark Street Hudson station was the giant wall mural on its side. The left side of the mural showed two big Arabian camels with packsaddles on them towering over a miner-49er-type guy pitching a little pup-tent camp; the right side was taken up with a large colorful map of the U.S. with the words “36 States” printed over the top of it. “First it was camels in the west,” reads the type over the picture. “Now HUDSON serves you best!” As advertising, this mural was a bit of a mixed bag. It did attract attention, but mostly it was the wrong kind. Most people who looked at it probably wondered how a company could have gotten big enough to be in 36 states without learning what kind of animals cowboys and miner-49ers used. Mules, yes; horses, sure; but — camels? Well, as it turns out, camels did have a role to play in the American West. They started out strong, and hopes were high that they would be a great addition to the frontier transportation infrastructure; but then their number-one booster disgraced himself by doing something super illegal, and the camels kind of fell out of favor in the West and faded away. Come to think of it, maybe it's not such a bad analogy for Hudson Oil Co. after all....
