What a GAME!!! Cowboys somehow beat their Division rivals the New York Giants in what some are calling one of the best games they've ever seen! Coming back from being down 3 with 25 seconds to go and winning the game in overtime seemed virtually impossible but the Cowboys made it happen. Jesse and Ro talk about how amazing Dak, CeeDee and Brandon Aubrey looked in this content as well as much much more. Listen in to this exciting victory episode of Bleav in Cowboys NOW! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
In this episode of JacquesTalk we discuss the Cowboys' wild and wacky 40-37 win over the New York Giants. We talk about how Dak looks as confident and prepared as ever to make it happen and how this offense might need to win a lot of shootouts. Finally, we get around to the Cowboys' defense and why it feels like a long season on that side of the ball. In the block we discuss a trip to Philadelphia to celebrate my father's birthday
Bubba Dub keeps it all the way real after the Dallas Cowboys barely survive the New York Giants. Cowboys defense TRASHH — Russell “Ciara” Wilson lit them up, and Trevon Diggs got cooked all game. Dak throws it 52 times, CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson shine, but penalties almost cost Dallas. Giants offense shows promise with Malik Nabers, but discipline killed their chances. Around the NFL: Steelers, Dolphins, Seahawks, Joe Burrow, and more Week 2 takes. Boxing: Terence “Bud” Crawford dominates Canelo Alvarez in Vegas. College Football: Arch Manning exposed, Coach Prime bounce back, Shedeur Sanders drama. It’s comedy, it’s sports, it’s Bubba Dub unfiltered.
Dak and Hunter recap the Houston Christian win, and interview Sadie Meyer who gives a female perspective to Husker football.
Dak gives his initial reaction to the Houston Christian game.
Ro Parrish and Jesse Holley take on the task of giving YOU all the latest from America's team, the Dallas Cowboys ahead of their matchup with the New York Giants. The Giants are coming off a brutal loss to divisional opponent Washington Commanders and are looking for a bounce back game but they are not going to get one here! Tune in to hear all about what to expect from Dak, if the team is worried after CeeDee Lamb's performance in Week 1 and how they plan to deal with Superstar Malik Nabers being down a CB. For all of that and MUCH much more, this is Bleav in Cowboys

We decided to wait for a full FOOTBALL WEEKEND before we came at you with a freshly sliced Hoagie Mouth, folks. And what a weekend it was! It was NOT the start to the Cowboys showdown that we all expected. But dammit Dak got under JC's skin and all hell broke loose....or at least some spit. Season ending injury for BVS, some cracked ribs for Will Shipley...and here comes the TANK for some relief. But really, it's QB1 who made all the right decisions and played about as perfect a game as could be expected. If only we hadn't lost our COOL in the beginning, the vibes woulda been off the charts. Can't wait for the next meeting at JerryWorld.NEXT - the super HOT Phillies who have completely erased - and rocketed past - the Mets mini surge which threatened the NL East crown race. But after the latest series at CBP, it looks like we can almost count that out...7 games is the magic number to lock up the division. Next up - the #1 seed. Philly Rob gets some real credit for getting the most out of these players (Bader! Marsh! Even a post-benching Casty!), and that starting pitching lineup is cruising into post season form. October can't get here soon enough.Email: hoagiemouthpod@gmail.comIG: @hoagiemouthpod

In the Who Should Worship Kālī? | Dakṣiṇa Kālī vs Smaśāna Kālī talk, we explained the technical term "jagadānanda" which describes the bliss of fullness. We argued that from the Kaula point of view, the goal is not transcendence but fullness; not freedom "from" the world but freedom "as" the world. And we pointed out how Kālī sādhanā is uniquely about embracing this non-dual totality of all things! The Absolute Reality is dynamic, ever-free Consciousness, my very own Self and the goal is to realize this in all things, as all things. Necessarily, this involves coming to terms with realities that the dualistic, conditioned and limited mind often rejects. "Who dares misery love: to him the Mother comes" etc. Then, in Kālī's Non-Duality of Radical Acceptance | vs. Classical Non-Duality we went in with some finer brush strokes to compare the view of Classical Advaita, which we termed the "path of absolute negation" with that of Tāntrik Advaita, or the Non-Duality of Kālĩ which we described as the "path of absolute acceptance". Both can lead to non-dual realization and yet who can deny that these might be different flavors of non-dual realization! The former path is fit for some while the latter suits the disposition of others and for many, the two paths are practiced sequentially, one after another. All this we discussed in last week's talk. Now, this week, we take up this topic yet again but using the Sāmkhyan idea of the gunas to show how Kālī sādhana (i.e Tāntrik non-duality) is unique and therefore for some people, uniquely disturbing. I make a case against transcendentalists, "sattva-only" oriented traditions! Originally, I had intended this lecture to be about staying safe and grounded in Kālī sādhanā or something along the lines of a PSA on kundalini emergencies/spiritual crisis but I spent so much time describing how Kālī sādhanā uniquely leads to destabilization that I never really got around to talking about techniques for grounding! We briefly mention a few towards the end but I suspect I'll want to develop these theme on safety more next week: stay tuned! Broadly speaking, there are to archetypical non-dual traditions, two very valid paths to bliss: The Non-Duality of Total Negation (Classical Advaita) & Kālī's Non-Duality of Total Acceptance (i.e Tāntrik Non-Duality or paramadvāya). Of course there are infinite shades of nuance and variation in between these two extremes. In this talk, we do a comparison of these two extreme models (or rather, flavor)s of non-dual Sādhanā, playing off of some ideas from last week's “Who Should Worship Kālī? | Dakṣiṇa Kālī vs Smaśāna Kālī” talk! This lecture is mostly a theoretical survey of the absolute state of realization which can anyone anywhere can attained through grace (i.e, sudden spontaneous insight) of course, but which is more likely to be a result of sincere spiritual practice! As for the practical side of this discussion, you might like to pair this talk with the What Do You Need To Start Worshipping Kālī & Practicing Tantra? lecture from two weeks ago! PS: you might find this lecture somewhat reminiscent of Who Created The World? | Vedanta vs Tantra and also Who or What is God? | Vedanta vs Tantra but we've certainly developed the ideas quite a bit since then! Rod Villagomez and Munaf Manji talk NFL waiver wire moves. NFL Week 2 Waiver Wire Highlights Rod Villagomez (0:06 – 0:49) opened with Week 1's excitement, calling Josh Allen “a dangerous man” after a monster fantasy outing. Munaf (3:48 – 5:03) highlighted injuries: George Kittle, Drake London, Evan Engram, Brock Bowers. He spotlighted Dylan Sampson (CLE): weak rushing (12 for 29) but stellar receiving (8 catches, 64 yards, 43% snaps). Rod (5:04 – 6:23) added Bijan Robinson picked up London's slack as a pass-catcher, while Jake Tonja could fill in for Kittle. Munaf (6:24 – 8:13) praised CLE's defense holding Burrow to 113 yds and Chase to 26, while Sampson looked like a waiver gem. Rod (8:14 – 10:52) hyped Daniel Jones (IND): 22/29, 272 yds, 1 TD, just 5% rostered. Munaf (10:53 – 13:16) added Jones' 2 rushing TDs, 87.6 QBR, noting he scored on every drive. The NFL season got underway last night and Cowboys fans should be pissed that they didn't win that game. Boomer said Dak made all the great throws, but CeeDee Lamb dropped too many key balls. Boomer also thinks the Giants should look at both those teams last night and know they can hang with them. Gio thinks the opposite of that. And the game started with an ejection as Jalen Carter of the Eagles was tossed for spitting on Dak. C-Lo is in for Jerry and here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of a big CeeDee Lamb drop. We also heard Jerry Recco on the call for a key Dallas fumble. Carter talked about the spitting incident after the game. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The umpire crew had a rough series. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about tonight's Chargers/Chiefs game being on YouTube, which is different from YouTube TV.

And the game started with an ejection as Jalen Carter of the Eagles was tossed for spitting on Dak.
We talked about the NFL and Boomer said there are ten teams he thinks have a legit shot at winning the Super Bowl. Boomer thinks the Patriots will make the playoffs. Boomer said how about the Cardinals or the Falcons making the playoffs? A caller wonders what we think of the announcement that Mike Tyson is fighting Floyd Mayweather. C-Lo returns for his update, but first Boomer had a lot of great questions during the break about conjoined twins. Two famous twins were seen with their newborn baby. We heard Jerry Recco on the call as the Eagles beat the Cowboys. Jalen Carter was tossed at the start for spitting on Dak Prescott. We listened to the Jim Nantz NFL season hype video. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The Moment of The Day: Jalen Carter spits on Dak, Eddie hits a Hawk Tuah drop. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks.

Hour 2 The Giants season kicks off Sunday against the Commanders and everyone around WFAN seems high on them this year. Boomer thinks they will be much more competitive this year. They were a flat team with Daniel Jones and Boomer doesn't think that's the case anymore. Gio wonders if that translates into wins. Gio said they can't start off 0-2 in the division and then have to play the Chiefs. Gio thinks the Jets offense is going to be miserable. A caller thinks Gio is poo-pooing both the Giants and Jets on a Feel Good Friday. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about the vending machine situation at WFAN and how bad it is. We heard the sounds of Kevin Harlan and Jerry Recco on separate calls as the Eagles beat the Cowboys last night. Dak Prescott talked about Jalen Carter getting tossed at the start of the game for spitting on him. Trent Grisham hit another HR as the Yankees beat the Astros again. In the final segment of the hour, an insane Giants fan said they are going to win the division. The Cowboys lost last night because of a turnover and dropped balls. The Eagles beat the Cowboys on opening night, but Jalen Carter spitting on Dak stole the show...
Norm Hitzges is back in the chair, shaking his head like the rest of us after the Cowboys somehow let a win against the defending champs slip through their fingers—literally. From CD Lamb's butterfingers to Dak's near-perfect deep ball, Norm breaks down the good, the bad, and the flat-out dumb from Dallas' showdown with the Eagles. It's a ride through rain delays, jaw-dropping penalties (Jalen Carter, we're looking at you), and the maddening “what ifs” that left Cowboys fans groaning all the way home. Norm also peeks behind the curtain at how the front office is spending its shiny new pile of Micah Parsons money, and whether that trade will sting for years—or pay off sooner than we think. This isn't your standard Xs-and-Os recap. It's Norm at his best: sharp, funny, and not afraid to call a dropped pass what it really is—a season-shifting gut punch.Chapters:0:00 – Cowboys had the champs on the ropes (and then let them go)2:15 – Ground game shocker: Williams and Sanders show up big3:43 – Jalen Carter spits his way out of the game (yes, really)4:28 – Second-half offense: all dressed up, nowhere to go7:34 – CD Lamb's 100-yard game he'll want to forget8:21 – Holding Philly to 24 and still losing—how?10:30 – “The one that got away” (and a steak detour at Bob's)11:19 – A healing balm for your skin… not your football wounds12:49 – Parsons gone, Bland gets paid, and the money shuffle begins15:58 – Norm's final sigh: this was so winnable Check us out: patreon.com/sunsetloungedfwInstagram: sunsetloungedfwTiktok: sunsetloungedfwX: SunsetLoungeDFWFB: Sunset Lounge DFW
Week 1 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the Dallas Cowboys down at The Linc in the home opener by a score of 24-20. They are now 1-0 on the season. This will forever be known as the game where Jalen Carter spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and was ejected before the first snap of the game. Not having Carter in the middle of the defensive line was a huge loss throughout the game. Plus, our concerns came to fruition as the secondary and CB Adoree' Jackson struggled against CeeDee Lamb.Thankfully, this team and offense has a quarterback in Jalen Hurts who put the team on his back. He certainly was the MVP in this game as the leading rusher, scoring two touchdowns, his poise throughout the game was undeterred. The offensive line appeared rusty and there's now concern with Landon Dickerson's durability long-term as he left the game with a back injury. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams.SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable
