Nate Odenkirk's name recently entered the national news cycle as his experience with contracting Covid-19 became the subject of some interviews his father, Bob Odenkirk, had on the late-night circuit. In this episode, Nate and I discuss his experience with the virus, his writing process, and his approach to comedy. Kyair, known by his students as Mr. K, is a teacher and was named the 2019 Baltimore City Teacher of the Year. Kyair got into teaching by taking a non-traditional route through a program called Urban Teachers and serves as a wonderful professional role model for his peers and a great leader for his students.
Devin is a tattoo artist and part owner of two Omaha, Nebraska tattoo shops - Liquid Courage and Sailor's Grave. Before they were ordered to do so by government officials, Devin and the crew at his shops had already made the free will decision to close up show and cease operations in an effort to keep themselves, their customers, and their community safe.
Sierra is a paraprofessional in a Hastings, Nebraska preschool. She is a mother of three boys - two of whom experience medical vulnerability - and someone who herself experiences health complications that make isolation and quarantine in the times of Covid-19 even more challenging.
