After years of searching, a young couple finally found their dream home—just in time for the birth of their first child. But from the moment they moved in, something felt off. Loud knocks in the night, a calendar violently flung from a wall, a fan box shoved from a window, and cabinet doors closing on their own. As if the house itself was watching. With each unexplained event, the feeling of being followed grew stronger. But when a total stranger asked, “What's wrong with your house?” the real chills began. Was this home ever truly theirs to begin with? This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. When Maria's young son started playing with an “imaginary friend” named Rusty, it seemed innocent—until she realized Rusty wasn't like the others. Dressed in strange old clothes and arriving through a spirit board, Rusty's presence coincided with strange activity: shadowy figures, a creeping beast in the cellar, and a woman seen climbing the stairs. But nothing chilled Maria more than when her son confided that the devil watched him sleep at night This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. Growing up in a pair of connected duplexes in historic Sherman, Texas, she never expected her childhood home to be the setting for her first paranormal experience. But everything changed the night her best friend Jessica came over—because while they sat watching Jaws in the living room, her mother saw "Jessica" walk out the back door. A dopplegänger? A ghost imitating a child? It was just the beginning. Strange noises, slamming doors, a dog growling at invisible corners, and a deep sense of unease followed. Some family members were affected more than others, and certain sides of the duplex always felt darker. Years later, the memories still linger—and so might the little girl who looked just like her. In this message, we explore the seventh sign recorded in the Gospel of John: the raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44). This miraculous moment is more than just a display of Jesus' power over death. It's a deeply personal encounter that speaks to the questions we still ask today: Why does God delay? Where is He in our grief? Can anything good come from loss?As Jesus calls Lazarus out of the tomb, we are reminded that resurrection is not just a future event; it is a person. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. He steps into our sorrow, calls us by name, and invites us to believe, even when we cannot yet see the full picture.Whether you're questioning God's timing, overwhelmed with grief, or feeling buried in hopelessness, this message offers truth and hope: death is not the end, your pain is not meaningless, and Jesus is near. The grave never stood a chance.
After nearly two decades as a nurse, she's seen a lot—but nothing quite like what happened during one quiet night shift. Tasked with caring for an elderly woman in an isolated hospital room, she didn't expect the patient's death to come with an overwhelming sense of dread. As she entered the room just after the patient's passing, she was stopped cold by a thick, suffocating energy—and a towering, dark, hooded figure looming over the woman's body. Frozen with fear, she fled, calling on her fellow nurses to join her. When they did, the entity was gone. Was it a demon? A collector of souls? Or something darker still? You've had to wait, but we know you won't complain ... because this week we're talkin' bout one of the greatest garage tunes ever - "No Reason to Complain" by The Alarm Clocks. A song of no-'count teenage alienation, and man, it swings! Not many noticed, though - until Tim Warren brought it to the people on Back From the Grave, and then The Lyres covered the tune in '86 and it's cool and Cramps-y. 3 out of 5 is The Woggles from 1990, which sounds great but the vocals might register a complaint or two. in '93 Gaul's Thee Gloomies authored a wonderfully snotty version with tons of reverb. And in 2017, Winnipeg's The Exploits made it weird again with neurotic vocals and organ. Moon over Parma tonight!!
A first-time ghost hunt at the infamous Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum turned into something unforgettable. What began with flashlights flickering and a growl caught on EVP quickly escalated on the fourth floor, a space heavy with dark energy. A chilling spirit box message warned “Get out,” followed by an unexplained scratch on one investigator's neck and the name “Joker” spoken clearly over the static. Who is Joker, and what power does he hold over that building? With direct physical contact, intelligent communication, and disturbing EVPs that included “I will find you” and “I'm guilty,” this night proved that some spirits don't just haunt—they attack. A Clemson University student shares an eerie update from a seemingly ordinary lab class. Until she learns she's been working just feet from where a professor named Todd died of a heart attack decades ago. After sensing something strange in the woodshop and bathrooms, she learns from her current professor that Todd's spirit may still be active, flipping switches, turning on radios, and flickering lights when no one else is around. As the activity ramps up, she begins to wonder if Todd's trying to communicate. But how? And should he? One thing's for sure: she won't be using a Ouija board to find out.
From seeing her own doppelganger (in a green nightdress with mysterious ruffles) to ghostly figures walking into bedrooms, levitating prom candles, and a cheeky entity with grabby hands, this house was never short on activity. With her sister seeing things nightly and her mom brushing off phantom butt grabs, the house became more of a supernatural sitcom than a horror show. Was it a portal? Astral projection? Just a very spirited haunting? One thing's for sure—this house was anything but boring. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. Heather returns to share a chilling update about her daughter Lily, now 13, who continues to experience vivid, prophetic dreams. In one recent dream, a spirit guide showed Lily a disturbing vision of her cousin in a car accident—down to the confusion on his face and the color of a vehicle he hadn't even purchased yet. Weeks later, the dream became reality. Lily has the ability to leave these dreams when they overwhelm her, but the messages still come. Is this simply intuition, or is Lily being called to something more? A powerful story about a gift that isn't going away. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. When a young family settles into their first Santa Barbara home, they expect sun-soaked memories, not midnight back-rubs from unseen hands. After relocating from Oklahoma City to small-town Mustang, a family thought they'd found peace in a quiet three-bedroom home. Instead, they uncovered a nightmare: religious icons that refused to stay upright, paparazzi-bright flashes during sleep-paralysis, a doppelgänger folding laundry, and a sinister frontier-era stranger who urged a preschooler to murder. EVP recorders crackled, sulfur drifted from thin air, and a stepfather's eyes turned black as he lashed out. The family fled, leaving furniture—and maybe something worse—behind. In the U.S., there will soon be more people over 65 than there are under 18 — and it's not just lifespan that's improving, it's “healthspan” too. A family road-trips from Mississippi to Pomona, California—only to discover that Auntie's longtime bungalow hosts more than childhood memories. While the cousins snore beneath a muted TV, their mother dozes on the couch and awakens to the scrape of a kitchen chair, the glow of a single bulb, and a bedroom door she swears no one entered. Through the crack drifts a woman in a white dress, hair like ink, gliding—not walking—toward the sleeper as her face twists from blank curiosity to silent fury. During a sweltering 2018 visit to a coastal Mexican town, a young mother realizes her six-year-old son Lorenzo—named for his great-grandfather—still carries an unsettling gift: the ability to see what others can't. This family doesn't inherit jewelry—they inherit hauntings. It starts with a lovestruck American who stuffs his Mexican bride into a laundry bag, braiding together two bloodlines steeped in brujería and Masonic mystery. The grandmother whispers prayers over eggs that crack black as ink; a great-uncle slips into glassy-eyed trances, scrawling symbols no scholar can place. And in one dim kitchen, a child forever sees the Bloody Man—an apparition linked to a vigilante justice hidden within the home's walls. A lifelong empath phones in to reveal the secret that cost them friends: when they were six, an elderly woman who'd died in their bathroom began watching over their bed—just the first act in a haunting that still shadows them at 22. Family bloodlines of “second sight” soon drew darker forces: a towering entity they called “the Fireman,” bruises that appeared overnight, and glowing white orbs that battled for the child's soul. Victorian strangers materialized in doorways, cameras caught nothing, and a house blessing only muted the storm. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. Former custodian Eric never expected his nighttime rounds at a preschool to feel like detention in the Twilight Zone. Built in the early 1900s, the district's oldest school still echoes with tiny sneakers—except the classrooms are empty. A ghost child warns staff to avoid the locker-room staircase because “Mr. Wiggles” lives below. Lights snap on in locked libraries, dodgeballs restack themselves with teacher-shaming precision, and something with distinctly adult footsteps stalks the boys' bathroom after hours. Eric may have quit mopping floors, but the memories—and whatever Mr. Wiggles is—still scrub at his nerve This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. Dominic from Indy is back with a flood of eerie updates from his haunted home life. From mysterious zippers and shaking closets to whispered voices in his ear, things just keep getting weirder. His kids hear footsteps on empty bunks, his daughter's hair is lifted mid-air, and now even quiet moments are interrupted by phantom voices. But the creepiest twist? A soft “hey” was whispered right next to him, with no one there. Plus, his nephew shares stories of orbs and red-eyed entities near the Trail of Tears. It's a wild mix of the unexplained, and Dominic's just trying to make sense of it all. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. The simplicity of life back then is appealing today, as long as you don't mind Church hegemony, the occasional plague, trial by gossip — and the lack of ibuprofen. Ghost hunting in high school might sound like a phase, but for this group of Indiana teens, it turned into a string of unforgettable, chilling encounters. From a phantom-filled farmhouse on Sleeper Road where breath turned visible in mid-summer and photo-negative figures danced in the windows… to a night when the entire house vanished without a trace, replaced by old-growth forest. But it didn't stop there. A friend who ignored a paranormal warning was followed home—his car window exploding as a final warning. This is a story of paranormal encounters that goes way beyond creaky floorboards and cold spots—this is what happens when the line between our world and the next gets blurred in the blue light of the unknown. Every 19th of October, Grenadians mark a somber anniversary: the 1983 execution of the country's former prime minister and revolutionary leader, Maurice Bishop, and others who died alongside him. The people of this Caribbean nation still have no closure more than 40 years later. The remains of Bishop and his supporters were never returned to their family members and are missing to this day. In the first episode of “The Empty Grave of Comrade Bishop,” The Washington Post's Martine Powers takes us on the personal journey that led her to learn about Grenada's history. Martine delves into why Bishop was such an influential figure, what made the United States nervous about him and why the mystery of his missing remains continues to haunt so many on the island. If you haven't listened to the series yet, we hope you check it out on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts. If you've already listened, we would be grateful if you shared it and left a review. You can find photos and documents from the investigation in our special episode guide here. One runner's routine jog turned into something unexplainable. Just blocks from home stood a condemned house—boarded windows, eerie silence, and a heavy presence that was easy to write off as imagination. But on one summer day in 2008, after a strange sensation of being scratched outside that very house, the run took a chilling turn. Ravens—normally quiet, observant birds—suddenly began dive-bombing behind her, not once, but twice, in two different locations. And to this day, she believes the ravens may have been trying to protect her from something she couldn't see. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks.
