Podcast by MaybeIveSaidTooMuch
It's only weird if you make it weird.. and it got weird And as always.. sorry
Okay - so there's a virus.. and we talk about that because.. .who isn't. But, did you know you used to be a baby? A baby that wasn't able to tie their shoes.. If you need a little motivation and a few laughs along the way, this one just might be for you. And as always... sorry.
Everyone in the world but Mike went... and he isn't bitter.. not even a little. And other things and Tony's slip and slide.. And as always.. sorry
We wonder out loud, do we hide in our making? Is it a way to log some wins or keep from having to deal with the 'stuff' waiting in real life. That and shrubbery. And as always... sorry.
Oh boy!! We are back. We are joined by Stephanie from Uncommon Outpost. (probably figured that out from the description). We talk about our hiatus and what we've been up to. There's tray talk and talk about pants and duty free jokes. Yeah.. it's all in there. You're welcome. (editor note - the audio on this one might be a little internetie. We forgot to record locally and had to steal the audio from the YouTube video) And as always my friends... sorry
We sit down with our good buddy Tony to talk about all things metal and wood and all the other nonsense you've become accustomed to. Our software (which is going to be getting replaced with a better solution here shortly kept failing so mid way through you may hear some cursing. I thought it was funny to leave it in) Check out Tony on IG: https://www.instagram.com/hillview_wm/
Okay.. notes first. The audio on this one had to be ripped from our Hangout because one of us (not to be named) recorded from the wrong mic again.. And it's about 2 weeks past when we recorded it so THE STUFF ABOUT THE DRAWING DOESN'T APPLY! Sorry - I've been super busy with a new position at work and this should have been done a week ago.. All that said.. We give thanks and talk holiday traditions. And as always.. sorry.
After a week off from our Hickory trip to back on the air. We lose Izzy for a few.. because reasons.. and internet.. There is some talk of shiplap (yeah.. that happened) and we recap our live event shenanigans. There were stickers involved.. Hear it to heart it. And as always.. sorry.
Oh mercy mercy me.. We talk about everything. From who you can count on, to old machinery, to youtube and upcoming events. You're going to like this one. And as always..sorry.
Izzy couldn't make it this week, he's getting ready for the Klingspor Extravaganza. Our English buddy from Australia stops by to chat! We talk about community and groups what our legacy will be.. or what we'd like it to be. Take a listen, your ears will thank you. And as always, sorry Al's Insta https://www.instagram.com/alshackshack/?hl=en
We like to think through life we've learned a few things. At the very least we should be able to tell kids some do's and don'ts. Probably not of course.. we are still part time podcasters.. This is that. Good luck! And as always, sorry.
Yeah... that title pretty much sums it up. And as always, sorry.
Our favorite episodes are often topic free. Just 3 friends talking randomly about stuff and things... this is that. Also - sorry for the late release of this one. Life has been chaotic this week. I'm not sure what's worse, that we released late, or that hardly anyone noticed.. LOL! and as always.. sorry.
Rebecca Degroot stops by MISTM HQ to chat about spiders, leather, and lathing. Okay to be fair. We talk about all that, she just kinda shakes her head in disapproval. Check out her insta! www.instagram.com/rebecca_degroot/
What does it mean to bring your "A game" and how does that help with life? We talk about A-game and expectations in relationships and of course.. pocket holes. And as always - sorry
I think the description is a bit fitting for this one. Although, we mostly black out during the show and just make this stuff up after from the dreams that are show memories. And as always - sorry
I know what you're thinking.. that's a short one. Well, that isn't just what I hear about the show. Izzy had to do some picking up at the airport but before he went we talked about... I mean, let's be honest, you're not really reading this still. And as always.. Sorry.
Izzy couldn't make it this week so Mike and Joel just shoot the shizzz about stuff and things. We talk comedians and websites with stuff podcasts should talk about and all kinds of stuff. And as always - sorry Editing note - there is a software crash at about the 40 minute mark.
Mind if I borrow this? If you find a cool design and you're a maker.. should you make it? Logos, art designs, and really cool ideas that you can make instead of buy.. Is there harm in the remix? And as always.. sorry.
YouTube changed hangouts and we are trying out new fun things. Summer vacations and other nonsense built the base for this one but in true MISTM style it's off the rails quickly. And as always.. you're welcome. *sorry we were late this week. summer vacations pushed things back.
The guys from Reclaimed Audio let us borrow our good buddy Lutes for a while because Joel is tied up in a giant slip and slide. Words were spoken... and if you don't laugh your ass off at this one, you should probably find another podcast to listen to... because we might not be a good fit for you! lol And as always.. sorry.
One of those shows where we starting talking about stuff and then more stuff and more stuff and at the end we go "Good lawd.. what was that?" Yeah.. they are our favorite shows too. By the way.. did you know that Izzy has never seen SpaceBalls? And as always.. sorry.
We talk about all kinds of things. From hating everything to hating nothing and everything in between. Turns out we are like insightful and stuff.. but you already knew that and as always... sorry.
I'm not sure a description would do any good for this one so I'll leave it to you to take a listen and form your own opinions. Your ears will thank you. and as always.. sorry.
We had planned to talk about the pursuit of happiness but we had the GREATEST time talking about music and what it means to us and some other pop culture things. This is just a show of 3 guys sharing fun stuff with each other. You're sure to enjoy! And as always.... sorry.
How does procrastination fuel creativity? Hell if we know but it's funny that Joel couldn't make it to the show that talked about putting creative things off. We talk about putting things off until they need to be done and what that does to you. Procrastinate later.. And as always, sorry.
Being a man isn't always what it's cracked up to be. Sometimes you wonder what do I get out of all the work I put in. From the time we are young boys we all dream one day of being the king of our castle. Is that a realistic expectation? Is there every a castle? Do you even need one to be fulfilled and be 'happy'. Hell if we know! But it did make for one interesting conversation. and as always.. sorry.
We had a topic but we started shooting the shtuff and didn't get to it. These are often our favorite episodes. In this one we talk about Andy Birkey so of course we loved it, and him. Even snuck in some stuff about the environment. Yeah, it got weird. and as always.. sorry.
Challenging yourself to push past a place of comfort is a responsibility. Finding pride in your own actions. It's a gift you give yourself that no one can take away. Basically Mike did something stupid and instead of calling it stupid we made a life lesson out of it! You'll hear.. you know you want to. *Editing note - sorry for the late upload this week. Between the holiday and it being the end of the month I haven't had any free time to do much of anything. and as always.. sorry
We spend this episode thinking back over the last 2 years of the Maybe I've Said Too Much Podcast. The good, the bad, and we're ugly... I mean.. the ugly. What we've learned and enjoyed and shared. It's been a great ride and thank you so much to so many of you for taking it with us. And as always.. Sorry.
I repeat, we are not at maker central. And kidney stones. And Izzy's embarrassed by the rest of us.. but that's not new.. Did I mention we aren't at maker central? and as always, sorry.
This is a whirlwind of consciousness... just the way we like it! Topics from too hot tacos to gardening to dying and stuff. And while that might sound like a bummer we actually laugh at all of.. except guitar making.. we don't laugh at that ever. and as always, sorry
We don't talk about Joey Tribbiani or cats the musical. We don't talk about supersizing at the drive thru or step kids. We definitely didn't talk about guitars.. actually we kinda did. The rest is probably in here too. And as always... sorry.
We asked the listeners to come hang out and we would read their comments real time to be part of the show. It was way more fun than expected and way less sh*t show then it should have been. and as always... sorry.
Today on Maybe I've Said Too Much's Meet Your Maker Joel sits down and talks with Tracy Blom about her new book that she collaborated with Jimmy Diresta on.
We discuss things and stuff and then there's words and an intro and an outro.. I'm convinced none of you are reading this. Izzy's big toe is worth 1 million dollars, listen to find out how.. See.. not even reading.. and as always, sorry.
Yeah, we talk about you, quite the change and.. it felt weird. Probably won't have that happen again so enjoy while it lasts. And as always... sorry
So.. this weekend isn't last weekend. And that thought is real. Well, that and we talk pallets and Paul Jackman www.jackmanworks.com becomes the target of a 'pallet off?' with Izzy. It's on, I think, I really don't know but stuff happened and it was fun. Take a listen, and as always sorry.
When life is not going as expected, do you look out or in. Want something in your life to be different? We ask one simple question.. What the f*ck are you going to do about it. By the way - strong language in this one in case you didn't see that coming.. and as always, sorry.
This is one of Izzy's favorite topics and episodes. Talking about time, what's it worth, why it matters, and of course childish banter in between. Admit it, it's why you love us. And of course.. sorry
We were going to talk about failure and how it does something or other and well.. that didn't quite work out. But this show was way better because we just had fun talking. Usually means you'll have fun listening. And as always, sorry.
Are you in your own way? We are sure you are! Discussions involve getting out of your own way, workbenchcon, maker meet-ups, Sammy says (that will make sense, I promise), and digging sh*t holes. Really.. that all happened. Good luck! and as always... sorry. https://templeboyturnings.com/index.php/auctions-2/
This episode we talk about negativity and how to deal with it. Business, personal, water buffalo.. Just checking to see if you read this. Mike's audio had some intermittent issues and unfortunately there was no way to fix it... sorry for that.. and as always sorry.
A special guest joins us. Izzy was out sick tonight and our good friend Wim stopped by to hang out and talk about DNA tests, french cleats, and climbing stairs. Unfortunately for you, this probably won't make more sense once you listen, but you're welcome and.. as always, Sorry.
Our recent "meet your maker" guest PJ Galati is writing a book (you can support him here: goo.gl/R7C7dk ) and somehow - really I have no idea - we came up with an idea for the perfect maker murder mystery. If you like dark and funny, do we have a show for you! This one quickly falls off the rails and never gets back on. You're welcome and as always.. sorry.
Joel sits down with PJ Galati to talk about making and his new book that's out on Indiegogo Links: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-legend-of-la-la-land-fantasy-book-novel#/
We talk about our most recent road trip and then dive into the world of reclaiming. Is it really better for the environment? Is there any moral superiority in recycling old to new? Well, we certainly didn't answer any of those questions but the conversation sure was fun! And as always.. sorry
We discuss what it means to be a man. How you define masculinity and why if you were mad at a razor commercial, you were probably wrong. We also talk about women in the maker community and we realized very quickly.. we need to have a woman on if we are going to talk about that!
Hey folks - Joel here! Welcome to Between the Show, where I get to sit down and talk one-on-one with some of our favorite makers. This week I get to talk to Zack of ZH Fabrications - An amazing maker. Don't worry, MISTM will return at its normal time, this series is a mid-cycle injection, and won't change MISTM's schedule. Hope you enjoy!
Planning and goals are something all of us talk about.. but hardly any of us actually do. Admit it, you suck at planning. Okay fine! Be that way. Be stubborn. Want to prove you can plan? Plan to listen to the whole show! Now you win, and lose. And as always, sorry.
