In this week's Mental Man Monday, Izzy Baker is joined by Houston attorney, entrepreneur, and content creator AlmightyAce for a conversation about emotional intelligence, communication, silence, discipline, faith, and the mental health challenges men face while balancing ambition, relationships, and purpose. As a successful lawyer by day and digital creator by night, AlmightyAce shares what it takes to manage high-pressure careers, protect your peace, and maintain boundaries without losing yourself in the process. The conversation begins by revisiting last week's PSA: The Mental Health Podcast episode, "Silence Is Golden (They Heard You)," leading into an honest discussion about why silence often impacts people more than arguments ever could. Izzy and AlmightyAce explore the difference between healthy boundaries and the silent treatment, why reacting emotionally often gives away your power, and how restraint, emotional maturity, and biblical wisdom can sometimes speak louder than confrontation. From there, the discussion shifts toward communication, emotional regulation, and what it truly means to respond instead of react. Drawing from scripture and personal experiences, they examine why being slow to speak, quick to listen, and intentional with your words can strengthen relationships, improve mental health, and help men avoid unnecessary conflict. They also discuss the importance of knowing when grace has run its course, when boundaries become necessary, and why protecting your peace is not the same as avoiding difficult conversations. The episode also explores the pressure of entrepreneurship, owning a business, and carrying the emotional weight of serving other people. AlmightyAce opens up about life as a personal injury attorney, building his own law firm, managing clients' expectations, and learning how to create boundaries in a profession where there is rarely an "off" switch. The conversation expands into burnout, work-life balance, ambition, and the emotional cost of constantly being available to everyone else.Later in the livestream, Izzy and AlmightyAce react to LeBron James' surprising decision to continue his NBA career after previously suggesting retirement, using the moment as a conversation starter about identity, purpose, public expectations, and whether people should be allowed to change their minds without being condemned. They discuss integrity, keeping your word, personal growth, and why many people struggle to accept that someone's purpose can evolve over time. The episode concludes by examining the growing controversy surrounding Pastor Jamal Bryant and Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, leading into a larger conversation about credibility, accountability, public influence, leadership, and the responsibility that comes with having a platform. Rather than focusing solely on the controversy itself, Izzy challenges listeners to think critically about discernment, emotional reactions, and how easily public opinion can shape private judgment. This episode is for the person who struggles with boundaries, feels pressure to always respond, carries the weight of leadership, or is learning that silence, discipline, and emotional control often communicate more than anger ever will. Whether you're building a business, navigating relationships, protecting your peace, or simply trying to become a wiser man, this conversation offers practical insight into moving with intention instead of impulse. If I had to start over from scratch in 2026 with no audience, no experience, and no money, this is the ONE opportunity I would go all in on. Not dropshipping. Not affiliate marketing. Not building a social media following and hoping to go viral. It's called UGC (User Generated Content), and it's quietly making regular, everyday people thousands of dollars a month from their phone. I've personally earned over $20K/month doing this, and I've watched my students build life-changing income in just a few months.✅ Want to learn exactly how it works? What happens when pride, money, career setbacks, public accusations, and personal reputation collide? In this audio edition of Mental Man Monday, Izzy Baker is joined by Houston's own DJ Raek around the 17-minute mark for a conversation about men's mental health, entrepreneurship, masculinity, career uncertainty, relationships, accountability, and knowing how to respond when life suddenly changes direction. The episode begins with King Yella saying he would rather struggle financially than return to a traditional 9-to-5 job. Izzy examines both sides of the conversation, questioning when refusing to go backward represents confidence and purpose, and when it becomes pride. For men trying to provide for themselves and their families, the conversation raises a difficult question: should you take whatever job is available, or can returning to something you believe you've outgrown actually distract you from where you're supposed to be going? The conversation then shifts to reports surrounding Cam Newton and ESPN and what losing a major opportunity can do to a man psychologically. Izzy connects career setbacks to embarrassment, financial pressure, identity, entrepreneurship, and the fear that comes with losing something that once felt guaranteed. Instead of treating a closed door as the end, he explores how being laid off can force someone to pivot, build their own platform, develop new income streams, and turn their hustle up.DJ Raek joins the conversation and offers another perspective on Cam Newton's growing personal brand, arguing that sometimes a personality can become bigger than the platform employing them. That opens a deeper discussion about job security, entrepreneurship, building something you own, and why depending entirely on another company for stability can leave you vulnerable when circumstances change. Izzy and DJ Raek also discuss the changing media landscape and what creators can learn from personalities such as Cam Newton and Joe Rogan about consistency, ownership, longevity, and building a platform people intentionally seek out. For anyone pursuing a podcast, business, creative career, or side hustle, the message becomes bigger than getting fired: sometimes losing one opportunity creates the space necessary to build something greater. Finally, the conversation turns toward Stefon Diggs and the public controversy surrounding conflicting allegations, relationships, reputation, and who is actually telling the truth. Izzy and DJ Raek unpack what happens when private situations become public narratives and everyone involved has a different version of events. Beneath the celebrity headlines is a larger mental health conversation about accountability, emotional reactions, protecting your name, and deciding when defending yourself is necessary versus when responding only creates more chaos. Whether you're dealing with unemployment, financial pressure, career transitions, entrepreneurship, relationship drama, public embarrassment, or simply trying to figure out your next move, this episode challenges men to separate pride from purpose and temporary setbacks from permanent defeat. Because sometimes the door closing isn't the problem. The real question is what you build after it closes. Listen. Reflect. Pivot.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.TrustBuilder Package
Silence, boundaries, emotional intelligence, self-control, relationships, faith, and men's mental health take center stage in this solo episode of PSA: The Mental Health Podcast. In Season 10, Episode 9, Izzy Baker follows up the conversation about distraction by exploring another form of discipline that can be even harder to master: knowing when to stop talking. The central message is simple: “Don't say nothing else. They heard you.” Sometimes protecting your peace means realizing that another explanation, argument, paragraph, or response isn't going to change what somebody has already decided to do.For men who struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, unhealthy relationships, emotional reactions, or constantly feeling the need to defend themselves, this episode examines why silence can become a form of emotional discipline. Izzy discusses what happens when you repeatedly communicate your feelings to someone who refuses to adjust their behavior and why constantly overexplaining yourself can eventually become emotionally exhausting. Sometimes people understand exactly what you are saying. Their lack of change may be the answer you have been trying to get from another conversation. But is cutting somebody off without an explanation healthy? Why do some people suddenly become more interested in you when you stop responding? And why can silence make controlling or manipulative people so uncomfortable? Izzy explores silent cutoffs, relationship boundaries, emotional maturity, self-control, discernment, and the uncomfortable reality that not everybody deserves unlimited access to you. He also explains why silence should never become a strategy for intentionally hurting somebody or getting revenge. There is a major difference between becoming quiet because you are genuinely done with an unhealthy situation and becoming quiet because you want to manipulate someone into chasing you.The conversation also connects silence directly to mental health. Intentional silence can create room for reflection instead of impulsive reactions, while healthy boundaries can reduce resentment, emotional exhaustion, and stress. Izzy discusses the peace that can come from no longer entertaining relationships or situations you already know are unhealthy, especially when constantly explaining yourself has only created more frustration. Faith also plays a major role in the conversation as Izzy examines what the Bible says about knowing when to speak and when to remain silent. From Proverbs 17:28 and James 1:19-20 to Jesus remaining silent before His accusers and Exodus 14:14 declaring that the Lord will fight for you, the episode challenges the idea that strength always requires a response. Sometimes emotional intelligence means speaking up. Sometimes maturity means addressing the problem directly. And sometimes faith means trusting God enough to stop trying to defend yourself against every accusation, misunderstanding, or person determined to see you incorrectly. The episode ultimately ends with one of the most important distinctions in the entire conversation: healthy silence versus the silent treatment. Silence can create space, establish boundaries, prevent emotional reactions, and protect your mental health, but withholding communication specifically to punish, control, or manipulate another person is something entirely different. Knowing which one you are practicing requires honesty about your intentions. Because everything does not require a response. Everybody does not deserve another explanation. And every battle does not require you to prove that you were right.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.TrustBuilder Package

What does Gunna's dramatic body transformation have to do with men's mental health, discipline, purpose, and becoming the man you're called to be? In this special audio edition of Mental Man Monday, Izzy Baker reflects on recent episodes of PSA: The Mental Health Podcast while expanding on one of the biggest themes of Season 10: death by distraction. Inspired by Gunna's appearance on the cover of Men's Health, this episode explores how physical transformation often begins with a mental one, and why discipline—not motivation—is what separates temporary change from lasting growth. The conversation examines the connection between fitness and mental health, why more men are prioritizing their physical well-being, and how activities like running, lifting weights, and joining run clubs are replacing nightlife for a growing number of young adults. Izzy also shares updates from his own fitness journey, including his no-carb challenge, fasting, and the daily habits that have helped him become more intentional both mentally and spiritually. The episode also dives into the growing epidemic of distraction. From social media addiction and endless scrolling to constant notifications and digital overload, Izzy explores how attention has become one of the most valuable currencies in modern life. He discusses why so many people confuse being busy with being productive, how phones quietly steal purpose, and why protecting your focus may be one of the greatest acts of self-discipline a person can practice.Additional conversations include the recent parasite outbreak making headlines, the cultural shift toward health-conscious communities, and a preview of the upcoming episode exploring why so many men struggle with silence, communication, and emotional expression. Whether you're trying to lose weight, improve your mental health, strengthen your faith, build your business, develop greater discipline, or simply eliminate distractions that keep pulling you away from your purpose, this episode offers practical encouragement to help you refocus on what truly matters.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/p-s-a-the-mental-health-podcast--5520511/support.TrustBuilder Package

AT Parenting Survival Podcast: Parenting | Child Anxiety | Child OCD | Kids & Family
Growing up with OCD isn't easy, especially when it tries to convince you to give up the things you love.In this episode, I sit down with Izzy, a child in The AT Parenting Community kids support group, as she shares her personal journey with OCD. She opens up about when her symptoms began, what it has been like navigating treatment, and how she has learned to keep pursuing the activities she's passionate about, even when OCD tells her not to.Izzy's story is an honest and inspiring reminder that courage isn't about feeling fearless. It's about continuing to move toward what matters, even when OCD is loud.Whether you're raising a child with OCD or your child is struggling to believe recovery is possible, I hope Izzy's story offers hope and encouragement.Sometimes the most powerful encouragement comes from hearing another child's story. LeBron James didn't just become the most famous athlete on Earth — he became one of its most careful, and occasionally most explosive, political voices. In the most contentious episode of our LeBron series, Dan, Amin and Izzy trace the moments that turned a basketball player into a lightning rod: The Trayvon Martin hoodie photo — and Dan's own take on it at the time, warts and all. The killing of Tamir Rice, and the "I Can't Breathe" shirt that, in the moment, didn't include his name. The ESPYs speech. The White House years, plural. The Bubble. And the legacy that's still being argued over, for better or worse. With firsthand memories from Jemele Hill and Cari Champion, plus a LeBron teammate history conveniently forgot. Homework for this episode: • "Reaction to tragic killing shows growth of LeBron" (The Miami Herald, 2012) • "Kevin Durant x LeBron James x Cari Champion" (Uninterrupted, 2018) • "Trump Attacked Black Athletes — and Paid for It in the End" (The Atlantic, 2020) • "LeBron James Doesn't Talk About Politics Anymore" (New York, 2022) Encouraged homework for next week's season finale: • "There's Always This Year" by Hanif Abdurraqib (2025) More from "The Step Back": • Episode 1: The Chosen One (feat. Sonny Vaccaro) • Episode 2: The Decision (feat. Jim Gray) • Episode 3: I'm Coming Home (feat. Iman Shumpert) • Episode 4: LeBron Inc. (feat.
