My Search for Light and Truth

In this episode, I look at the scriptural evidence for what a prophet and the gift of prophecy actually is. I also examine how the definition of a prophet has changed over time, and the effect that has had on the LDS church. 

In this episode I will talk in more detail about the baptism of fire, and my pursuit for it. During that pursuit, I have a complete paradigm shift around the Lectures on Faith and the Holy Ghost.

In this episode I discuss the internal conflict I had around the Nov 2015 Policy to classify LGBTQ members as "apostates" and prohibit baptism from children who live in LGBTQ homes. I discuss the conflicts with this policy with scripture, and the problems that arose when the policy was revised in April 2019. 

This episode is a reading of one man's rebaptism experience, as written by himself. It beautifully teaches how this man connected with Heaven, and how Heaven reached back. The rebaptism took place on June 21st, 2018 in the Wasatch Mountains.

This episode is a discussion about Baptism and how it relates to the Doctrine of Christ. The church policy prior to its reversal is discussed here, and my reactions to it. I also talk about the importance of baptism outside of a purely LDS perspective, and the symbolism of the ordinance itself.

This episode focuses on some common misconceptions about repentance, and how those misconceptions have held me back. I also talk about the relationship between repentance and revelation.

This episode is a study on Faith-- What it actually is, what it means to have faith, and why faith is essential for salvation. This Episode is a deeper dive into the Doctrine of Christ as it is laid out in the Book of Mormon. It lines out my experience with the Doctrine of Christ, it's importance in my life, and the emphasis Christ himself puts on this doctrine. I explain from scripture what the Doctrine of Christ is, why it is so important to mankind, and identify differences in the doctrine from Scripture and what I have learned from the typical Mormon narrative. This episode talks about the Book of Mormon, the importance of the text, what it's message is and who it is intended for. It also begins to explore how we have taken the Book of Mormon lightly, and what the implications of that might be. ** Please note, due to amazing friends I have discovered errors in my recording, related to the House of Israel and the Gentiles.
