A long awaited episode! This week, I had the absolutely pleasure of sitting down with Emily Gigliotti, host of The Purpose Project podcast, to discuss navigating our self confidence journey. I thoroughly enjoyed our unique perspectives on what makes us feel like our best selves as well as identifying some of our pain points. Overall, I think anybody who is feeling down about themselves can find solace in this incredibly refreshing conversation. 2021 came in a little too hot and resulted in a sudden career shift. the best part about all of this? it all went down on my BIRTHDAY .... talk about a true quarter life crisis. In this week's episode, I tell you guys all the details behind this sudden change, how I found the job and why it may have just been the sign that I was looking for. While the situation was definitely less than ideal, I truly believe that it has pivoted me into the direction that I've always wanted to go but seemingly avoided. I also answer a few questions surrounding the job search, starting a job remotely and breaking up with your old job. ----- join my corner of the internet: https://www.instagram.com/nestlemitchell/ https://www.instagram.com/notmyproblempod/ Nestle Mitchell Youtube

Have you ever found yourself scrolling through social media and wondering why you still follow that person? Why you continue to see posts from that one girl you had class with 3 years ago? Yeah, me too. In this week's episode I talk about the importance of setting boundaries for yourself on social media. You don't need to follow people that are no longer a part of your life. You don't need to subject yourself to comparison and envy by following someone who has the life you wish you had. I know it's easier said than done but hopefully my experience gives you the push you need. ----- join my corner of the internet: https://www.instagram.com/nestlemitchell/ https://www.instagram.com/notmyproblempod/ Nestle Mitchell Youtube

They say everything happens when it's supposed to and somehow that means that we can turn a blind eye to the bad work experiences we may go through. This week's episode is all about the pervasive belief that we're 'lucky to be at our jobs" and how to break free from this false narrative. Spoiler alert: any opportunity is just as lucky to have you as you are to be there. I talk about how I navigated through this mindset and the level of toxicity behind it. I hope you guys enjoy. In this week's episode we tackle the age old question of "what do you want to do with your life" and "what's your purpose?" If you can't seem to find your purpose in life then welcome to the club. Our lives are more than becoming a manager, a C-Suite executive, an actor, a mother, a doctor or a member of congress. While those all sound absolutely great - they're just goals. They're not your purpose. So with that we try to unpack ways to figure out who you would be if you didn't have those goals. It's terrifying, right? Nevertheless I hope this conversation eases the stress and lets you know that we're all trying to figure this out together. Me, a 24 year old, nominally doing fine but I just feel so bored out of my mind sometimes. Anybody else agree? In this episode we unpack the true feelings of the post grad struggle as well as something things that people just lied about. I don't remember reading any of this in the 'how to adult' handbook.
