A podcast that has no limits - we will talk about everything and anything, and we will have guests to give us insight into those different topics.
Hey guys! This episode is about coping with people leaving, either people being layed off, changing to a different job or having to work from home. Connecting with people is so important these days, and that is what myself and my current colleague Rabiah spoke about during this episode. Hope you guys are doing well. Mariya x
Hey guys! This week is a very important episode, and one that I was hesitant to record as I did not think I could do it justice, however I think its important to discuss it. George Floyd, a 46 year old African-American man was killed in Minnesota by a white police officer for no reason and this is not the first time something like this has happened. We have a problem. To be honest, there has always been a problem but not everybody was talking about it, sometimes due to it 'not being relevant to them' (aka if they're white) but that needs to change. As white people, we have the privilege that people of colour do not have, and we need to use our voices to ensure that this does not keep happening. This is not something we can bury our heads in the sand about anymore. Listen, and learn. Here are the links mentioned in the episode: https://www.gofundme.com/f/georgefloyd , https://act.colorofchange.org/sign/justiceforfloyd_george_floyd_minneapolis (use postcode 90210 if you're not from US). Hope you are all staying safe guys.

Hey guys! So for one of the podcast episodes, I thought I would read out one of my existential crisis journal entries from 2016 because it really resonated with me (and also showed that I was going through a bit of something something back in the day). I hope you guys enjoy it, and tell me what you think! Hope you are all staying safe, and see you soon.
Hey guys! Welcome back to On Your Mind, this week I am discussing mental health and Coronavirus as damn it is a needed discussion for this time. There are loads of ways in which you can look after your mental health, and I talk about just a few here but honestly whatever works for you is the right thing to do. If it's doing cartwheels for 15minutes every day followed by a Netflix binge, then be my guest. Hope you are all staying safe and most importantly, staying home.

Hey guys! I am finally back with a podcast about the current pandemic sweeping the nation (Coronavirus) and how that may affect relationships and what we can do about it. If you want to make this podcast episode fun or hydrating, why not take a drink of wine/water/juice whenever I say 'eeerm' (yes that's right I've created a drinking game out of this). I hope you guys are all well and powering through this like a champ, and by that I mean doing what I'm doing and mostly just catching up on the Netflix you've been wanting to watch for a long time. Please stay home, and let's keep each other safe. May we come out of this whole mess stronger!
Welcome back in 2020 guys! Hope you are all well. This weeks episode is about Trauma, a topic that not many people like to talk about but also something that many have experienced to some extent. May the 'new year new me' crap not cloud your vision, and may you gain your self worth not lose it because of silly things you may have been tricked into thinking you have to have. Peace and love from Mariya (who btw has 20/20 vision apparently so that's fitting)

Hey guys! I am finally back with a new episode of On Your Mind, with this week being about ICE (the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and what has been happening in the US in relation to that. I also briefly talk about Orange is the New Black (spoilers last until around the 9minute mark) which I commend for discussing the issues associated with Deportation in the US right now in such a powerful way. Some of the things I discuss in this podcast may be shocking to some of you, to others if may be yesterday's news. Overall I believe it to be really important to discuss, as we cannot keep our eyes shut to this any longer than we may have already. For anybody seeking advice about deportation in the US, visit the website: https://www.immigrantdefenseproject.org/ and the helpline that it provides you with is (212) 725-6422 .
