It seems like productivity these days makes it easier for us to fill up our calendars as tightly as we can and ride our own hamster wheels of work. But we also all feel the consequence of burnout because we don't realize how fast or how long we run for way too long until it's too late. In this episode, I want to explore my intentions with my new work-life balance and how I want to prioritize my time moving forward. As I reflect on my content creation journey, I realize that being a "skincare content creator" isn't the only thing I want to be associated with. As a multi-passionate person, I want to incorporate all of the things I enjoy into my life and my work. After exploring Youtube's Creator Summit for Climate/Sustainability Action, I was so inspired by the attendees who wanted to use their platforms to influence the future. I realized that Journalism was a deep interest of mine, and I decided to give it a go with KraveBeauty's Waste-Me-Not campaign. I wanted to #pressreset on the beauty industry's hidden waste problem and use my platform as a space to be transparent and inspiring to turn eyes to sustainable habits for our planet. All these new ideas and opportunities are so exciting to me, and I'm so ready to work again, but I gotta be honest with you: I'm tired. I've always been so protective of my time because of my work and the goals I've had for myself and my company. Time has always been such a calculative risk to me, but I'm going through a very transformative period by spreading my wings toward new territories. But a really dear friend of mine who unfortunately passed this past September reminded me that time is so precious, and that work is never going to be missed. Rather, the memories made with friends, family, and new experiences are so much more cherished towards our finish lines. All that to say, as much as I love work and the new ideas I have, I'm going through a season of being present with myself and with my loved ones around me. Being an online presence is not as smooth as healthy skin.
