Seek His Kingdom
Cultures experience change, and as a result, churches begin to experience change as well. New movements rise up and begin to attract many people - especially young people. Just because something is new doesn’t automatically mean it is good or bad. In this episode we ask the question: “How do we identify whether a new church or movement is heading in a Biblical direction or not?”
We are finally back with another episode. In this episode we share an update on our lives and what has changed. We spend most of the time talking about how the Gospel is being preached around the world, along with making some comparisons to Christianity here in the US.
We talk about how Christians can sometimes fear the more complex aspects of our faith. While the gospel is in fact simple, it's also important to grow and dig into the more complicated aspects of our faith.
If we took a look at our social media pages, what would we see them filled with? Is it easier for others to notice that we are voting Republican/Democrat than it is for them to notice that we are Christian? We talk about the current political atmosphere in America and how Christians interact with it.
This week we talk about YOUR relationship with the world. How do we live in a way that is not worldly?
We talk a bit about the relationship the church should have with the world, how we can avoid becoming worldly while still reaching out, and touch on the current situation with government restrictions on churches in the US.
Thousands of miles apart, but we still get on a phone call and chat through the concept of disagreement. How do we deal with it? How do we know what's worth standing our ground for?
We talk, from a pretty broad perspective about the church, production, professionalism, and traditions. If you are involved in your church, we hope this helps you remember and refocus on the ultimate goal of what we are doing. If you are not involved, we encourage you to get involved!
