We’re not sure if we believe in Hell or Heaven, but we definitely believe in the Lord of the Rings. By the time you get to the last installment of the trilogy, Return of the King, you’re pretty invested in the characters, and you’ve accepted things like talking trees, warring elves, and wicked sea animals. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room then: death. What happens - in the realm of fantasy or here on Earth - when we die? Join us for the discussion...
In Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Bull assures us that the magical forest is not being staked out by hired thugs, but is instead being visited by the ever faithful and sweet Duncan. Duncan is a good friend. We are good friends, despite separations, life changes, and age. Gratitude for all the Duncans in our lives and yours. Huzzah!
From the culturally important Spaceballs, “When will then be now?” “Soon.” We’re not sure there’s a better piece of conceptual script writing on time than this. Do we ever stop to think what time really is? Does it actually exist? What does the spirit world do with time? We’re slaves to it, but we’re lost without it. Is it a product of nature, or is it a metaphysical myth? Minds might be blown. Join us!
Beetlejuice is another one of our favorites, and who can forget Winona Ryder’s iconic role?! When she utters this quote, we utter it to ourselves as well. We are all strange and unusual, but how do we deal with it? How do we live in the world while knowing there’s another one just a thought away? Let’s discuss…
It is a good safety tip! But, are we actually ghostbusters? Why do we love the Ghostbusters franchise so much? Is any of what we do and what we think about actually related to science? So much science goes into GB, but when we are being spirity, are we using or even thinking about science? What would happen, really, if we crossed streams? Would life as we know it cease to exist? Let’s find out...
We all love Ian Malcolm in the first Jurassic Park. He’s sultry, smart, and kind of a pain in the ass. But he also provides the philosophical insights like this quote early on in this classic film. So how does life find its way through you? How are you feeling today? What’s working within you, or what’s not? What’s stuck? What’s moving? Our #spiritselfie helps us define ourselves in the present so we can move on, move through, and keep being creators of our life as it finds its way...
The guys in Ghostbusters had a business to run. They appeared on a television commercial with this tagline to appeal to the New York City masses to encourage people to come forward with their stories of the paranormal, and to help. Their heartfelt intentions, however, were thwarted by slander that supposed the Ghostbusters had created the evil paranormal entities that were terrorising the city! Not cool! Today, we’ll be sharing our story of our direct experience with the paranormal, and we hope that you are ready to believe!
The weird scary villain in Indiana Jones and the last Crusade gave Indiana this ultimatum while in the Canyon of the Crescent Moon. Indiana, holding the fate of not only his father’s death, but his own as well, had to find within himself, what he believed in, and had to hope that it was good. With Indiana and all that he had to endure in mind, we will also be searching within to define the terms we use when we talk about SPIRIT - but we won’t be in a cave, and we probably won’t be under the duress of a life or death situation...we think.
