Michael Clary grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, in the shadow of the Marshall University plane crash that marked his hometown. Ministry ran deep in his family line—his great-grandfather and grandfather were both Baptist preachers—but his own childhood was shaken when his parents divorced at age seven. Shuttling between households, Michael experienced both the steady example of his Christian father and the destructive influence of a tyrannical stepfather. Those early wounds left him with a deep burden for healthy, Christ-centered homes.Though he professed faith from a young age, Michael's spiritual growth accelerated through Campus Crusade for Christ at Marshall University. Immersed in Bible study, evangelism, and worship leadership, his heart for ministry took root. It was during a summer project with Crusade that he met Laura, the shy young woman who would later become his wife. Married in 1999, Michael and Laura went on staff with Crusade before sensing God's call to local church ministry. In 2010, with nothing but faith and a handful of families meeting in his basement, Michael planted Christ the King Church in Cincinnati. Over 15 years, the church has grown, planted daughter churches, and recently moved to a new facility in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Along the way, Michael's convictions deepened around biblical manhood, womanhood, and family life—shaped by both his wounds and God's grace. Today, he continues to serve as lead pastor, husband to Laura, and father to four children, proclaiming God's good design for households and the church

The Devil Has Overplayed His Hand • Todd Coconato LIVE from Living Proof Crusade Michigan Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Everywhere you look, the enemy seems to be working overtime. Chaos in nations, attacks on families, deception in the culture. But here's the truth: the devil has overplayed his hand. When he pushes too far, it always backfires, and God raises up His people with greater power. We are stepping into the greatest moment for the Church—not a time of retreat, but a time of advancing the Kingdom with fire, authority, and glory. The darker it gets, the brighter the light shines. The shakings of this world are not the end of the Church—they are the setup for revival! 10 Reasons Why This Is the Church's Greatest Hour 1. God Promised to Pour Out His Spirit in the Last Days Acts 2:17 (NKJV): “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh.” 2. The Harvest Is Ripe John 4:35 (NKJV): “Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” 3. Where Sin Abounds, Grace Abounds Much More Romans 5:20 (NKJV): “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.” The increase of wickedness is not the end of grace—it's the setup for an overflow. God's grace and power will be magnified in the very place the devil tried to take over. 4. The Church Is Built to Prevail Matthew 16:18 (NKJV): “…I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” 5. God Always Turns Evil for Good Genesis 50:20 (NKJV): “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” 6. Miracles Confirm the Message Mark 16:20 (NKJV): “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.” 7. The Glory of the Latter House Will Be Greater Haggai 2:9 (NKJV): “The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts.” The greatest days of the Church are not behind us—they are ahead of us. The last-day Church will walk in a greater glory than the early Church. 8. Revival Comes in Times of Darkness Isaiah 60:1–2 (NKJV): “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” 9. The Enemy's Time Is Short Revelation 12:12 (NKJV): “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” 10. Jesus Is Building a Victorious Bride Ephesians 5:27 (NKJV): “…that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Yes, the devil has tried to bring fear, chaos, and deception. Yes, he's crossed lines and overplayed his hand. But every attempt only accelerates the plan of God. This is the hour of harvest, miracles, glory, and revival. Church, we are not shrinking back—we are rising up. We are stepping into the greatest moment in Church history. The devil has overplayed his hand, and the victory belongs to Jesus Christ and His Church.
Cardiac incidents occur without much warning, if any, and time is of the essence to save a life. CPR is important, but a device called an AED - automated external defibrillator - can restart someone's heart quickly, before serious brain damage can set in. While many offices, retail outlets and apartment buildings have these devices, it's not always clear where they are, and that's where Cardiac Crusade comes in. They're rallying volunteers around the country, including here in Massachusetts, to help them map these devices, with hopes of eventually working with tech companies to make it easy for you to find them in times of need. Founder Greg Coon and Massachusetts Executive Director Tyler Mola join Nichole this week to tell their story and share details about their upcoming event in Southie.

The funeral for Charlie Kirk was yesterday. Many Christians were pleasantly surprised to hear how many times the name of Jesus was mentioned and the gospel was proclaimed. Is something happening on a grander scale? There were controversies generated from some of the speeches including a debate over what forgiveness is and when it is appropriate. Also, another debate on whether or not Tucker Carlson's comments were "antisemitic."Michael Foster's been spotlighting doctrinal drift in the PCA and TGC lurches to the Right on Transgenderism. After the abrupt suspension of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week over comments host Jimmy Kimmel made following the killing of Charlie Kirk, many credited one person for getting Kimmel off the air: Brendan Carr, chair of the Federal Communications Commission. Hours before the suspension was announced, Carr seemed to threaten FCC action against networks, saying “we can do this the easy way or the hard way,” and advising Disney and other media companies to “find ways to change conduct.” Carr denies playing a direct role in the Kimmel suspension, but critics say Carr has emerged as Trump's top enforcer in the president's war against the media. Host Elahe Izadi talks to media reporter Scott Nover about Carr's background, his role in the Jimmy Kimmel drama and how he may be trying to expand the power of the FCC. Today's show was produced by Peter Bresnan, with help from Elana Gordon. It was edited by Ariel Plotnick and mixed by Sam Bair. Special thanks to James Graff. Subscribe to The Washington Post here.
Today on Word Balloon, we're joined by a voice familiar to anyone who loves smart, insightful pop culture commentary — Glen Weldon, longtime NPR contributor and co-host of Pop Culture Happy Hour. Glen is also the author of The Caped Crusade: Batman and the Rise of Nerd Culture, a sharp, witty, and deeply researched look at how the Dark Knight has evolved across comics, TV, and film — and how fandom itself has grown right alongside him. From campy '60s TV to grim '80s reinventions, and into Batman's role as a billion-dollar movie icon, Glen traces how this one character became a mirror for changing tastes, anxieties, and obsessions in American culture. We'll dig into what makes Batman such a singular figure, what The Caped Crusade uncovers about us as fans, and where Gotham's greatest detective might be headed next. This talk happened in 2016
Emily Pitts Donahoe shares what we can learn about grades from an “emerging failure" on episode 588 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast. Quotes from the episode They introduced a framework that attempts to identify the common features of alternative grading for growth systems that are meant to prioritize student growth and student learning over just grades and performance. -Emily Donahoe Those four pillars are marks that indicate progress, reattempts without penalty, clearly defined standards, and helpful feedback. -Emily Donahoe One of the most important functions of grades or marks given on individual assignments is to communicate to students about how they're progressing in a certain subject. Edward Bramson, through his investment fund Sherborne Investors, became a prominent activist shareholder in Barclays starting in 2018, with a stated goal of pushing the bank to scale back its investment banking arm and refocus on more stable retail operations and shareholder returns. Over time, Bramson intensified his criticism of Jes Staley, Barclays' CEO, especially after reports surfaced in 2020 that U.K. regulators (the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority) were investigating whether Staley had been sufficiently transparent about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Bramson argued that the board's unanimous recommendation to re-elect Staley was “extremely ill-advised,” saying Staley's ties to Epstein had introduced reputational risk and that the board should reconsider whether he was “suitable” to lead Barclays.Despite Bramson's campaign, his efforts were unsuccessful. Barclays' strategy around its investment banking division showed better performance, especially during market volatility, which helped Staley defend his leadership. In 2021, Bramson sold his entire ~6% stake in Barclays, effectively ending the activist challenge. Staley remained CEO until regulators released findings from their probe into how he had characterized his Epstein ties, at which point he stepped down.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://www.ft.com/content/febd924d-fccf-4525-bc6a-c65460d394c3Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

On a previous show we considered how blacks and Muslims have been transformed into weapons of war against civilized society. But what does this mean? How can one contend with the Black history of strong families, spiritual-religious practices, and education, and the Muslim history that includes the centuries of an Islamic Golden Age? The drums of war against Islam has resulted in states like Texas taking actions to ban “Sharia Law,” something that is never defined. At its foundation, this religious law is one of ethics, prayer, fasting, and giving, something akin to Divine Plan of Christians, the way in which one should live in the image of God. But no matter what one thinks of Sharia, which certainly has been distorted for control, the idea that it can be outlawed in the U.S. is dangerous, particularly because others are calling for the complete banning of Islam as a religion. Notice the similarities to the relentless persecution Christians have faced in media and entertainment, and now federally as the IHRA is being used to criminalize the Bible. How long before Christianity and its tenants can be banned by the same precedent set over Islam? Furthermore, do these two religions not share the same eschatology and do both not reject the “wokism” of modern progressive politics? They do, so what's the conflict, and why is the First Amendment relegated to the outside of this discussion?*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family and author of many popular books about "Christian parenting", died in late August at the age of 89. Dobson's death was celebrated by many ex-Evangelicals of a certain age who were raised in part or in total by Dobson's teaching and methods. He leaves behind a complicated and questionable legacy, including a generation of ex-Evangelicals who despise him and credit him for ruining their lives on the one hand, and an Evangelical movement that seems to have moved past him on the other. Joining Kelly and John to talk about the life and times of James Dobson is Hilde Løvdal Stephens, an associatie professor of American Studies at the University of Oslo. Her first book, Family Matters: James Dobson and Focus on the Family's Crusade for the Christian Home, was published by the University of Alabama Press in 2019. Full Text of ReadingsMonday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time Lectionary: 425The Saint of the day is Saint Louis of FranceSaint Louis of France’s Story At his coronation as king of France, Louis IX bound himself by oath to behave as God's anointed, as the father of his people and feudal lord of the King of Peace. Other kings had done the same, of course. Louis was different in that he actually interpreted his kingly duties in the light of faith. After the violence of two previous reigns, he brought peace and justice. Louis “took the cross” for a Crusade when he was 30. His army seized Damietta in Egypt but not long after, weakened by dysentery and without support, they were surrounded and captured. Louis obtained the release of the army by giving up the city of Damietta in addition to paying a ransom. He stayed in Syria four years. Louis deserves credit for extending justice in civil administration. His regulations for royal officials became the first of a series of reform laws. He replaced trial by battle with a form of examination of witnesses and encouraged the use of written records in court. Louis was always respectful of the papacy, but defended royal interests against the popes, and refused to acknowledge Innocent IV's sentence against Emperor Frederick II. Louis was devoted to his people, founding hospitals, visiting the sick, and like his patron Saint Francis, caring even for people with leprosy. He is one of the patrons of the Secular Franciscan Order. Louis united France—lords and townsfolk, peasants and priests and knights—by the force of his personality and holiness. For many years the nation was at peace. Every day, Louis had 13 special guests from among the poor to eat with him, and a large number of poor were served meals near his palace. During Advent and Lent, all who presented themselves were given a meal, and Louis often served them in person. He kept lists of needy people, whom he regularly relieved, in every province of his dominion. Disturbed by new Muslim advances, Louis led another crusade to North Africa in 1270. Within a month of their landing at Carthage, the army camp was decimated by disease. Louis himself died there at the age of 56. He was canonized 27 years later. Reflection Louis was strong-willed, strong-minded. His word was trusted utterly, and his courage in action was remarkable. What is most remarkable was his sense of respect for anyone with whom he dealt, especially the “humble folk of the Lord.” To care for his people he built cathedrals, churches, libraries, hospitals and orphanages. He dealt with princes honestly and equitably. He hoped to be treated the same way by the King of Kings, to whom he gave his life, his family and his country. The dispute between Sean "Diddy" Combs and prosecutors regarding the alleged "freak-off tapes" has become a contentious aspect of the legal proceedings against the music mogul. Prosecutors claim the tapes, purportedly depicting illicit and non-consensual acts involving underage individuals, are critical evidence in their case. They argue that the tapes corroborate witness testimonies about Diddy's alleged involvement in sexual misconduct and human trafficking. Prosecutors have emphasized that the tapes reveal a pattern of exploitation central to their charges and have sought to include them as key evidence, citing their relevance to proving Diddy's intent and involvement in criminal activities.Diddy's legal team, however, has vehemently opposed the inclusion of the tapes, arguing they are prejudicial and lack sufficient authentication. His attorneys have accused prosecutors of sensationalizing the case by focusing on the tapes to sway public opinion and taint the jury pool. They contend that the tapes were obtained unlawfully and do not definitively link Diddy to any criminal behavior. The defense has filed motions to exclude the tapes from evidence, maintaining that their introduction would violate his right to a fair trial. The legal back-and-forth highlights the high stakes and intense scrutiny surrounding the case, with both sides battling over the admissibility and implications of the tapes.(commercial at 8:40)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsoruce:Top attorney reveals the REAL reason Diddy's legal team is demanding access to Cassie Ventura sex tapes | Daily Mail Online
