One of my dad's super powers is his ability to tell stories. He can dream up characters, situations and plots at the drop of a hat. So I decided to share his talent with all of you, here are some stories from my dad...
Dad came up with this story for the child of a friend. He wanted to take Justin on an adventure he would never forget. As this episode is part of our kid series, it is safe for smaller ears. Hope you enjoy another story from my dad.
Dad turned the tables on me and had me tell one of the classic stories from my childhood...The Placebo. And of course he takes us on a few tangential stories, all about his daughter. Hope you enjoy another story from my dad.
This episode is a little different than our usual stories. Dad wanted to have a fun chat on the wizarding world of Harry Potter. He reveals what house he thinks he would be sorted into, and we take a quiz to determine his official house. Of course dad takes us on many tangents along the way... Hope you enjoy this (kind of) story from my dad!
In addition to being a storyteller, dad is also a fisherman. Here are a few tales from his fishing excursions.
What is the scariest movie you've ever seen? My dad recounts spooky tales from the 70s.
My dad wanted to break out the mic to share a quick story about my Mom.
My great grandmother was a woman full of joy. In this episode, my dad shares some of his favorite stories about her.
Growing up, I heard my dad tell the story of "the greatest game he ever played." Though he is king of the tangents, in this episode you too will hear the tale of Captain Crunch and The Funky Bunch vs. The Buffalo Bills.
My dad was a bad kid. His words, not mine. This is one of his favorite stories about a bad kid and a man named Smitty. I hope you enjoy this story from my dad!
Due to the Shelter in Place orders, my dad hasn't been able to get a haircut in the past few months. As such he's been growing out his afro. This inspired him to tell The Afro, a story of when his older brother took him to get a haircut from a man named Sneeze. Hope you enjoy this story from my dad! P.S. You can hear my dog Roscoe panting in the background of the audio...my deepest apologies. He had just finished playing with my parent's chihuahua, Mouse. A professional wouldn't bring their dog to a recording, alas I am not that professional.
One day my dad told me a story inspired by my sister, Shian. In this story a young, lonely girl befriends a blue jay that she names Peanut. Her new, unique friend enriches her life and she is no longer lonely. The first time my dad told me this story, it had a different ending... I cried so much that he had to change the story so that it was no longer tragic. I'm glad to say this is the version of Shian's Peanut that has a happy ending. As this story is part of our Kid Series it is safe for smaller ears! Enjoy another story from my dad!
This is part two of the story Big Bubba on Thunder Mountain told by my dad, Joseph Warren. In part two of this story, Bubba finds out where Thunder Mountain gets its name and squares up against Rowley Dog's friend...a bear! As this story is part of our Kid Series it is safe for smaller ears! Hope you enjoy this story from my dad!
