The NFL's week 13 is in the books and with plenty of games from Thanksgiving to Black Friday to Sunday, the NFL Playoff Race is shaping up. Chris, Beau and Nate react to the action and determine which team has a better chance to run the table - the Chiefs or Bengals? What are the Eagles issues on defense? And which team's win on Thanksgiving was more impressive - Packers or Cowboys? On Thanksgiving, the Packers completed their sweep of the Lions, the Cowboys defeated the Chiefs and the Bengals knocked off the Ravens. Then on Black Friday we saw the Bears run all over the Eagles. Those games all have significant impacts on the playoff picture, then with the Panthers beating the Rams on Sunday and the Bills having their way with the Steelers, the Wild Card races have gotten muddier and muddier. And the Texans are making a push of their own, look out for them to knock off some teams as we get later in the season. And at the end of today's episode, a very special guest joins - Ryen Russillo! Ryen talks about Lane's hire at LSU and what that means for the SEC, Ole Miss and CFB! It was out of bounds for Lane Kiffin to accept the LSU job and also think he could keep coaching Ole Miss. That's what Jonathan Zaslow thinks. He also says Alabama has a shot at nabbing a top four spot with a win in the SEC Championship. In the NFL, parity is ruining and making everything interesting. (Side note: every time you watch the Lions do you think to yourself, maybe it was Ben Johnson all along?) Then we get intel on the Chiefs collapse with former Chief lineman Geoff Schwartz. He also gets into the weeds with Mike Tomlin and team dynamics and why a veteran like Cam Heyward losing his mind on Josh Allen is bad omen. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin are still buzzing over an amazing few days of Thanksgiving NFL and Week 13! Which teams do Matt no longer consider a contender? Drew is looking for a strong finish from the Bengals. The Cowboys and Chiefs delivered a classic and leave you wondering about the future of both franchises. The Lions have lost 2 of 3 while the Packers are coming together. The Bears win makes Matt think they have a chance this season. What has happened to the Eagles and Saquon Barkley? The Rams took a surprising loss to the Panthers. Matt likes showing the locker room speeches, but thinks shirts should be left on. The Texans improved to 7-5 win a win over the Colts. Shedeur Sanders loses his 2nd start for the Browns. The Bucs ended a 3 game losing streak. The Vikings season continues to slide. Justin Herbert injures his non-throwing hand and Matt says he might be 'afraid' of Maxx Crosby. The Steelers fall to the Bills leaving plenty of questions about Pittsburgh. Drew admits to watching a Hallmark movie about the Bills. The Broncos win in overtime, could they be a Super Bowl contender? This could be the most wide-open playoffs we've ever seen. Plus, we preview the MNF matchup with the Patriots hosting the Giants. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Jaguars, with their win over the Titans, and Texans now have made things interesting in the AFC South and closed the gap the Colts created in the first half of the season. Nate Tice & Charles McDonald give their instant reactions and takeaways from Week 13 of NFL action. The two hosts start with their takeaways from the Denver Broncos' narrow victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday night.Next, Nate & Charles give their 3 Highs, 3 Lows from Week 13. The highs include the Buffalo Bills bouncing back to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Carolina Panthers pulling off a huge upset vs. the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears keeping it rolling vs. a struggling Philadelphia Eagles offense. On the low side of Week 13 were the Indianapolis Colts blowing their AFC South lead (in what is now a very tight division race with the Houston Texans & Jacksonville Jaguars), the Detroit Lions losing to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving and the Baltimore Ravens looking like this just isn't their year against the Cincinnati Bengals. Finally, the two hosts wrap things up with some Extra Credit on what's shaping up to be a photo finish in the NFC West division race between the Rams, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.(1:00) - Broncos beat Commanders on SNF(17:40) - Bills beat Steelers(25:15) - Panthers upset Rams(33:40) - Bears beat Eagles on Black Friday(46:40) - Colts blow AFC South lead(58:35) - Lions lose to Packers on Thanksgiving(1:08:30) - Are the Ravens even good?(1:15:45) - Extra Credit: NFC West race Subscribe to Football 301 on your favorite podcast app:
On today’s episode, Jason discusses whether we should still view the Los Angeles Rams as the class of the NFC after their upset loss to the Carolina Panthers, how a murky AFC playoff race could set the stage for a veteran team like the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens to make a run to the Super Bowl, why you shouldn't be surprised to see Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers starting to implode right before our eyes, and what we should consider to be realistic expectations for Lane Kiffin as the new head coach at LSU. Finally, J-Mac closes the show with his Best Bets for the Monday Night Football showdown between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. #OddCouple Follow Jason on Twitter and Instagram. December 1, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 57 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 13 Sunday home loss to the Buffalo Bills. As you can probably imagine, this show begins with a lot of gloom, despair, and agony vibes. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and how the Steelers decided to sit CB Darius Slay as one of their five inactive players against the Bills. The Steelers sustained a few injuries Sunday, so we discuss what happened to ILB Patrick Queen and CB James Pierre. We also discuss QB Aaron Rodgers getting beat up more on Sunday against the Bills. The Steelers made a few transactions on Saturday with one of those being T Broderick Jones being placed on the Reserve/Injured list. We discuss Jones likely being out for the season and the offseason decision the Steelers have with him when it comes to his fifth-year option. After going through the newsy items related to Saturday and Sunday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium against the Bills. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' defense and how poor things looked on that side of the football once again. We discuss the historical day the defense had, clearly a negative, and how the Bills offense ran at will against the unit by essentially spamming just two plays. We discuss the Steelers' defense being unable to get to Bills QB Josh Allen on Sunday and how he used his legs, instead of his arm, to really impact the game. We also discuss the coverage bust the Steelers defense had on his lone touchdown pass as well. After beating up on the defense, Alex and I go over the lackluster play from the Steelers offense against the Bills. We talk about the unit's inability to run many plays, the overall lack of a running game, and how there was no passing game down the field to speak of. We discuss a few poor decisions that QB Aaron Rodgers seemingly made against the Bills and how he remains out of sync with TE Jonnu Smith. We go over a few things Rodgers had to say postgame in addition to things that OLB T.J. Watt said to the media. We also discuss the reaction Mike Tomlin had to Sunday's loss postgame. We also talk about the poor offensive schemes and game plans that OC Arthur Smith has put on display recently. The "Fire Tomlin" chants are getting louder in Pittsburgh, so Alex and I discuss that topic. We discuss our faith and lack of faith in Tomlin moving forward. We discuss the Steelers only having two home games remaining and how Tomlin is probably thankful for that. Special teams certainly played a role in the Steelers' loss to the Bills, so Alex and I make sure to hit on what went wrong in that phase of the game on Sunday. Alex and I certainly aren't bullish at all on the Steelers when it comes to their final five games and thus playoff chances. This 109-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise react LIVE to the Steelers' NFL Week 13 with the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium. This show is presented by FanDuel. How did QB Aaron Rodgers look in his return from injury? Did he look like he could have played last week instead of backup Mason Rudolph? Were pass catchers including DK Metcalf, Darnell Washington, Roman Wilson, Jonnu Smith, Pat Freiermuth and Calvin Austin III able to find more space than they have in the last several weeks? Were Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell able to continue their momentum in the backfield? How much pressure were T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Patrick Queen and others able to get on star Bills QB Josh Allen? And did Mike Tomlin make enough adjustments with Jalen Ramsey, Kyle Dugger, Joey Porter Jr. and others in the secondary to to avoid domination? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Alex Highsmith, Payton Wilson and the defensive front seven struggle so mightily to contain James Cook and the Buffalo running game? Will coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin have answers before facing the run-heavy Ravens in a crucial AFC North battle next week? What went wrong for QB Aaron Rodgers in his return from injury? Is there still time for him to find chemistry with pass catchers DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth? Or is this offense in trouble? Especially after also failing to generate production with running backs Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell? And what will the defense do amid LB Patrick Queen's injury? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
On the Monday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christipher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo react to the NFL Week 13 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium. Did coach Mike Tomlin's team show a lack of fight in defeat? How could the effort level not be an indictment of Tomlin and his coaching staff that includes OC Arthur Smith and DC Teryl Austin? And does this team lack the one clear strength past Tomlin teams have needed to recover from long losing skids? Our duo tackles those questions, plus QB Aaron Rodgers calling out practice and film-watching habits. What does it show about the players' commitment level? Can he still get on the same page with receivers including DK Metcalf, Jonnu Smith, Roman Wilson, Calvin Austin III, Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
