Punk-inspired rock trio R-NØT made the trip from the D.C. area to Appleton, WI for their second year at Mile of Music, and they stopped by Fox Cities Core on WCZR Code Zero Radio to talk about it! The band has been turning heads with recent releases like "Sheep" and their newest single "K.I.S.S.," with more new music (including "Marmalade") already out and a lot more on the way.In this interview, R-NØT — Paul (guitar/vocals and primary songwriter), Chuck (bass/vocals), and Mikey (drums) — dig into the band's roots in the DC hardcore and punk scene, growing up on MTV in the 90s, and the reality behind DC's legendary 9:30 Club. They trace how each member found their instrument, how Mikey ended up joining the band in 2023 after years of separate paths through the Marine Corps, DJing, and DC's music scene, and how their genre-blurring sound — equal parts punk, grunge, and alt rock — keeps audiences guessing. The band also opens up about their debut album "Dumpster Fire," the massive backlog of unreleased songs behind it, their connection to legendary producer Steve Albini and DC's Inner Ear Studio, and their philosophy of scrapping the setlist and calling audibles live. Plus, find out the science-based story behind the name "R-NØT."This Fox Cities Core interview gives you the full story behind the band and a look at where they're headed next.Follow R-NØT:Find them on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube for music videos, singles, and tour updates.More Fox Cities Core:Fox Cities Core is your source for interviews, venue spotlights, and show previews from the Fox Cities and Wisconsin regional live music scene, brought to you by WCZR Code Zero Radio.

Add 30 g butter and stir until mostly melted.Carefully pour the hot liquid over the back of a spoon onto the pudding batter. It will look wrong. That is fine.Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden and spongey and the sauce is bubbling underneath.Rest for 5 minutes, then serve with cream, custard or vanilla ice cream. Hosted on Acast. The Marmalade Scandal: a sticky situation with the EU.

Marmalade, EU regulation, UK food labelling, citrus spread none of these sound like the beginning of a cultural moment, and yet here we are. A quiet little story about jars and labels has turned into something oddly revealing about how modern Britain works, and how it continues to align with European Union standards even after Brexit. The issue itself is simple enough on the surface: definitions around “marmalade” versus more generic “citrus spread” are being nudged, standardised, tidied up for the sake of trade and consistency. Sensible, perhaps. Necessary, maybe. But also, if you sit with it for more than a moment, faintly ridiculous.Because marmalade is not a mystery. It is orange. It is bitter. It is something your grandparents ate with toast while reading the paper. And yet now, through the slow machinery of regulation, it risks becoming something slightly blurred at the edges, its name softened, its identity folded into something more bureaucratically acceptable. The UK, keen to keep exports flowing smoothly into EU markets, often follows these standards anyway, which means the change arrives not with a bang but with a polite administrative shrug. And that is the point, really. These things rarely arrive dramatically. They come gently, sensibly, almost reasonably. A label adjusted here, a definition broadened there, and before long the ordinary language of everyday life feels just a touch less certain. Not broken, not lost, just off.It is a small story, but a telling one. Because once a culture begins to adjust its words too freely, it often finds that meaning itself becomes harder to hold onto. And all that, strangely enough, from a jar on the breakfast table.

Meghan Markle is back in the satirical firing line as Spitting Image mocks her As Ever marmalade as “woke,” with a Paddington-style bear warning she is “on my turf now.” Meanwhile, mixed reporting fuels the usual “are they going back” drama: one set of sources claims Meghan would only consider a UK return “for the right price,” while Rob Shuter insists she has “zero intention” of moving the children back across the Atlantic. Megyn Kelly piles on with fresh criticism of the Sussexes' post-royal branding, as commentators debate whether their Hollywood clout is fading. After the break, Queen Camilla faces a Christmas without both of her children this year, continues her long-running Buckingham Palace tree-decorating tradition for seriously ill children, and admits binge-watching Rivals helped her recover from pneumonia. Plus, new photos from Clarence House offer a rare look at the King's private world, including a prominently placed picture of Charles holding Prince George at his christening—and a reminder of how distant he remains from Archie and Lilibet.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

Send us a textRHOSLC-Yacht Yoga, Plane ChaosPodcast Summary: RHOSLC – S6 E9 “Unicorn Overboard”It's the final day on the Caribbean charter yacht—aka the calm before a hurricane named Meredith. We start with yacht-yoga: Capt. Jason, Whitney, Heather, Britani, and Angie stretching it out while the vibes are… tense. The Unicorn Sacrifice & Britani's IsolationBritani's feeling iced out after raising online rumors about Meredith's husband. Bronwyn tries to “lighten” the mood by bringing Britani's stuffed unicorn, Uni, to Meredith as a sacrificial peace offering. Instead? Meredith and Bronwyn hurl Uni off the yacht, saying it needed to “wash off the tanner.” They are in full costume. Absolutely unhinged visual.Breakfast Blow-UpDocking day breakfast is not serene. Meredith turns her attention from Britani to Whitney—accusing her of co-signing the rumor behind her back. Then right back to Britani: “I'm done with her. If you support her, I'm done with you too.” Heather is internally screaming, asking the room if they're “really throwing Britani overboard.” The crew returns Uni—drenched—because even the yacht staff knows this show is chaos. The Off-Camera Plane IncidentAnd THIS is where the episode goes legend.According to Heather, Whitney, and Lisa:On the flight home, Meredith allegedly went on a multi-hour tiradeGrabbed/kicked Britani's seatSpilled wineScreamed for Britani's TikTok“Raged” for FOUR HOURSBritani says she cried nonstop:“I'm the unsinkable rubber ducky… but I feel really broken right now.”Meredith's version? She calmly “vented for 15 minutes,” definitely no yelling, no grabbing seats, no wine throwing. Mary, who was ON THE PLANE, says: “Girl, no. It was longer. I kept waking up to you screaming.”Angie & Elektra Mini-PlotAngie brings things to Elektra before a horse show. Angie pushes her to compete for Greece, Elektra says: “Mom, you're forcing Greekness on me. You even make me take Greek lessons.” Peak Greek Mom energy.Bronwyn & Todd: Mile-High MessBronwyn tells Whitney new cheating-ish allegations: Todd was “caught on a plane looking at photos of women.” Bronwyn says she'd be okay with openness if they had an agreement—they don't. They discuss boundaries, rules, therapy, and whether these marriages can bend without breaking.Heather vs. Lisa – Marmalade MeltdownHeather confronts Lisa about the plane incident. Lisa denies everything, shifts blame to Britani, insists she was “preserving her peace.” Heather goes FULL MOM MODE: “Britani is the victim. You should be horrified she's scared to be around you.”They scream in the restaurant. People stare. Marmalade brunch ruined.Mary vs. Meredith – Reality CheckMary meets Meredith and tries to ground her: “You need to remember what happened.” Meredith continues the 15-minutes-only narrative. Mary says: “I woke up multiple times to you yelling.” She suggests Meredith apologize. Meredith asks why she should. Mary: “…for yourself.”Next WeekMary hosts an apology summit. Midseason trailer looks phenomenal.Support the showhttps://www.wewinewhenever.com/
