In this episode, we talk about the stories of Sanjay and Geeta Chopra who lost their lives while fighting their kidnappers. These awards were instituted in 1978. Nitisha Negi and Jairaj are the winners of the 2018 Chopra Bravery Award. Swimmer Nitisha had travelled to Australia to participate in a swimming competition. A huge wave threatened to drown one of her friends, and Nitisha went to rescue her. In the process she sacrificed her own life. Jairajsingh Gohil from Gujarat showed great presence of mind when he saved his friend from a leopard. He used his toy car to scare the wild animal! Bapu Gaidhani, a young man from Nasik in Maharashtra, rescued two children from a burning home, and then went on to rescue some cows. In this act, he lost his life. This Award was instituted in 1988.
